Of course not . I dont know what worths more in Nigeria, [s]a human life or a chicken going by recent events[/s]. A lot of people have died for daring to speak for their rights like Ken Saro Wiwa, Dele Giwa to mention a few. What happened to their fight after thier deaths? |

Only in Nigeria! God help that country. I still dont understand why we like confusion so much. Did any state actually get a governor that the people rather than PDP actually want? |

Travel › Re: Is Nigeria A Good Place To Live? by Imani(f): 3:24pm On Apr 13, 2007 |
walelead: @lanegra,
Nigeria is an interesting country. you either hate it or love it. I choose to love it, to bits (statement by a Briton married to a Nigerian)
Forget all you heard about Africa i.e Aids, poverty blah blah. None of that in Nigeria, im not saying all Nigerians are well to do but U wont see none of that stereotype Starvin Marvin u see on CNN.
if u are liberal, adventorous, fun-loving, then you'll definitely love Nigeria.
PS. i have observed most westerners and realise why they don't like Nigeria
The government is irresponsible, you will have to provide basic services like water, electricity, security for yourself (and Yes, You can)
Nigeria is a third world country, some of the things you take for granted in America are not readily available out there
Be self aware on the streets (you are responsible for your own security) this does not mean youre not safe.
Unlike the west, People you don't know will relate to you as friends and family
Your accent is different, people will see u differently until you settle in
Most importantly, don't be afraid of anything. People out there are not barbarians and theyre not going to eat you Quite true. |

NINETOFIVE: war?, not again God forbid, Nigerians get your acts together and just be fair. Fairness is what a lot of Nigerians want. But with power concentrated in a few hands, can we get genuine fairness for all? |

We don't need another war!
A lot of people still haven't gotten over the last war that was almost three decades ago.
Elections campaigns in this country have unfortunately become synonymous with violence. |
Travel › Re: Nigerians Abroad Must Return Home by Imani(f): 12:55am On Apr 13, 2007 |
dblock: Those were the good old days. Making fun of people that walked funny was a hobby of mine. If they were walking funny because they were "bouncing", that would be different. But if you are making fun of them because thay have a disability, then that is very low. The least you can do is just walk away. If you cant add value to thier lives, then dont do anything. |

I agree with previous posts about Jerrilyn.
But i guess she has a fan base that's why she is still in the competition. and people are being sentimental. |
