A child needs financial, emotional and material support in life. Unfortunately, the person that provides the emotional support often gain massive influence & control over the "child". Most times, this is always the mother. While the fathers erroneously believing that providing the financial & material support is all that matter "big mistake".

I was equally a victim as a vendor years ago, so I can understand how the lady feels right now. I practically made a lot of losses. Even travel to different states to meetup sales appointments only to arrive and the unremorseful supposed client will ghost off. With time, it became clear that many were just doing it for fun and to see if it was real. So I had to upgrade the policy. 100% payment before processing, created more reliable means to vet us with proof for those having doubts.

I'll only use one true life practical example. I was with a professor who was encouraging one young guy doing his PhD. She said, it's good you're doing your PhD and that he will now be able to secure a job especially in the lecturing profession in private schools. And that Masters Degrees have become too common hence his joblessness. I laughed because to me she was only selling hope to him. The guy must have been told same thing before he secured his Master's. Well as the reality in Nigeria is that you're either well connected to get a job slot or you have cash to pay for the employment. So you see, environment/location/society plays a major role in the life of a child. A society that rewards hard work, excellent & encourage skilled persons can never be compared to one that have chosen to weaponized poverty against the people thereby killing the dreams of her supposed excellent hands. The belt I am currently using was made by a First Class Degree holder lady. Not too long ago a First Class Degree holder in Mathematics was discovered farming in Ebony. He has since moved to the US on scholarship. Same with one young guy few weeks ago who was offered an opportunity to come to the US to further his schooling. Conclusively, ask yourself one simple question. Why do politicians, very rich persons, religious leaders, etc secure a dual citizenship for themselves and families even with the money they have?!
