Music/Radio / M.I. - THE Pastor's Child Is A Pastor Himself. by imustsaymymindo: 5:51pm On Oct 06, 2019
There is no comeback for Vector on this. Vector's high moment as a rapper was when he was in storms records and not even YSG.
He was a new-age rapper with contemporary flows and subtle punches dishing us beautiful songs such as I love you Nigeria and Maryjane.
I remember he dished out some powerful features too and even blessed two tracks in Samklef's gospel album.
However, there was a shift in the rap game globally at the period. There was a craze for wordplay, double entedre, pun or better still punchlines and the likes of Lil Wayne were having their best moments.

In Nigeria, the case was not any different. Some new generation of rappers swept in such as Ice Prince, Yung Six and Phenom giving us all sorts of amazing punchlines.
And truly that was Vector's field. He was a good word's smith and pun star.

Gradually, Vector focused on his strength and started losing commercial viability. He traded concept, message of the song, musical arrangement
for excessive usage of wordplay. Vector started saying stuffs like "If I dey piss you off, go wiwi".

When he left YSG, Vector also traded good instrumentals and settled for some boring rap beats which silenced his commercial viability forever.
And you know? Nigerians don't joke with instrumentals.
He was not dettered. His goal was to be like Modo and get lyricist on the roll.

He felt he was some rap god and even went dissing Reminisce.
Reminisce who was not much into the rap game after rapping for 10 years on the streetz of Akoka was like "Which kin wahala be this, This VEC go make person dey rap again?"

Remi was balling with his afro-juju style with songs such as kako bi chicken and only if and now he has to write some rap beef?
Remi listened to some NAS and tried to deliver about a 16-bar diss to Vector. Although, Vector won with the distractions track with lines such as
"because Remi bleach his skin doesn't make him enlightened", Remi had only his street cred left for him. Remi cried, listened to Nas more, came back with 2 mussh and teamed up with sossick and jospo consequently to release some of the best albums Nigerian rap has ever witnessed. Reminisce subsequently became better with rap and even more commercially viable than Vector.
No wonder M.I. rated Remi above Vector in the Viper.

This is what M.I. was trying to tell Vector in the Viper. He didn't just communicate verbally but non-verbally. The instrumental, bridges, delivery
and flow had its messages. Wordplay was used right and succinct. The viper wasn't a diss but a message. A message of retrospection to everyone and not just Vector.

A message to invest in people, not to burn bridges and mellow your pride. A message that a rap king can still be very much commercial.
M.I. is already making loads of money from the Viper song. It even served as the single for his upcoming EP. That was the ultimate message!
The Viper was a great sermon from M.I. the Pastor's child and the memory verse Psalms 1 is one I would never forget.

In geometry, a position or position vector, also known as location vector or radius vector, is a Euclidean vector that represents the position of a point P in space in relation to an arbitrary reference origin O.

And M.I. says: "See we rise by lifting others, who you lifted?
Nobody in all these years
Can say that Vector put em in position"'.

This reminds me of "Popo". A black snake that came periodically on the fence laced with barb-wire for over 4 years. Such effontery, crawls gallantly, makes me shiver always. It's been 3 years I last saw Popo. I guess it died naturally.

@pewekac

I am not only one black American on Nairaland, there are several black Americans, Nigerian abroad, non-blacks as well as other non-Nigerians here on NL but stop posting or login as inactive sometimes or even rarely.

The same reason why you love Nairaland forum over other forum sites I have been there. Very popular, informative, humorous, and everyone from all over world, not just for Nigeria only, are involved in posting, debating, disagreeing, and/or whatever they are free to express their own opinions. Other forum sites were so bored to DEATH---nothing to excited or challenge me.

Nairaland gives you mixed emotionally: hilariously, excited, furious, bored, cursed, tear-jerk, or sympathy. Plus very addictive!

Not really, I love Nigeria, just like it very much with great desire to visit there someday but i find it interesting why American and the rest of the world hate Nigeria so much. It led me curiosity to research myself what Nigeria is all about beside 419/scam at the same time i met a real 419er on the lengthy YIM chat 2 years ago long before I joined NL member- - -not know what yahoo-yahoo boy mean.

At the end, I was glad that i was not victimized by a 419er, because the 419er told me that i was very stubbornly with my black heart to exhort him every resources he needs. Finally, 419er gave up confession telling me truth that he pretended to be a 55-years old deaf white British guy who sought my help getting passport replacement. Because of my deafness he thought he could trick me. Actually he was only 25 years old Nigerian jobless completely idiot village guy who desperately need money so badly by fooling American and deaf people he used cyber-cafe accessing Yahoo Member Directory.

However, I continue stubbornly recommended him seeking Nigeria-British embassy, non-profit organizations for the deaf, disability advocate agencies to obtain his lost passport, finding a place to stay, etc while being stranded in Nigeria electronically without giving him money! That's where I come in turning expert knowing a lot about immigration procedures.

As of result, he questioned me about how do I know so much about Nigeria culture, economic, language. He said i was too much- - -thought I had been to Nigeria before---I never did! I told him that i was member of Nairaland. He ran away from me, never bother me anymore. That's it!  grin

After that, I blocked only 3 yahoo boys from NL i easily detected. Often lot of new NL members popped up saying hi in YIM as I politely saying how are you in Yoruba language after I checked out their NL profile first---who they are, they insulted calling me bad name saying that I am Nigerian or yahoo boy in entire one year. I insisted that I am fully American woman. This year 2008, i removed my YIM id off my NL profile.

Upon my internet research while being member of NL, Nigeria is lagging far behind on the international microfinance investment on the ground of renewable energy solution---mostly in North Africa, South Africa, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Benin Republic and other poverty rural Africa had been granted receiving the largest amount of microfinance investment building on rural electrification hybrid renewable energy solution over 4 years now. That is why i chose Nigeria continuing to study learning more about Nigeria culture/language in preparation for me to understand Nigeria people better for my business.  I used to be motivation wanting to help Nigeria in the quality of electricity power solution and met one of two Nigerian guys from NL in order to work for me as my Nigerian business partner and travel companionship/charpone. He had already accommodated me fully as well as spoke with six business associates (both US and Nigeria).

Unfortunately, it does not accomplish my mission/goal due to inconsistence communications with my Nigerian business partner---I have not heard from him more than three months, therefore; i cancelled my plan visiting Nigeria for obtaining Nigeria incorporation kit and doing my feasible study proposal writing for my business with Nigeria Affair Department of Corporation appointment and stop writing on my business proposal to think about possible to change different country preferrable in Jamaica, Carribean, or South America in order to start all over re-writing my business proposal of hybrid renewable energy electrification system. By the way, I am very rusty learning in Spanish language I used to take 2-years Spanish foreign language course in both my secondary school and university for credit graduation requirement---I aced A+ grade. It was 20 years ago!!! No problem to re-learning Spanish again later.

See existing thread I was involved in my ideal electricity power resolution at below link:

Energy Policy: Non-existent In Nigeria?

Even the wisest man ever lived felt like this at a point. There is really no meaning to life. And as Solomon said, the best thing we can do in life is to eat, drink and enjoy work and then again that is vanity.

every minute; Naija ladies are golddiggers, naija ladies are doing this and that.

you guys should stop dating broke babes you guys won't agree. ..especially the sex starved ones that can't do without sex.

if you wanna go into relationship and you ain't broke yourself, never attempt to woo a broke lady.

you people should stop creating this such threads like this abeg.

stop dating broke babes! undecided

How is this possible? When as at 2016, 92.4 percent of Nigerians lived less than 2 dollars a day according to UNICEF. Nigeria is a poor country and mentality like this cannot be avoided.

What If, what if. If we live our lives saying what if all the time we will never accomplish anything. Life itself is a risk, does that mean we shouldn’t make the best possible decisions that we can and be smart about it? What if the money I invested into my business doesn’t yeild any profit? Does that mean that I should not invest my money at all in any business? Please wake up and face reality sir.

What-if? It's called the first principle thinking. It's a better way to think than analogy. And what is analogy? Making conclusions on experiences based on history or experiences and that is simply what your post is all about. When you think beyond analogy, you would understand that it is better to just get married because of love and be committed to it. Because your case went this way, doesn't mean others would. That was why I brought the peculiar what-if questions. But then again, we all are different human beings with different mindset.

1. Marry a man 10-15 years older than yourself.
So as to remain young and pretty. What if the woman gets disabled?

2. You are not bob the builder.
What if the man gets broke?

3. You owe unconditional to your children, ONLY.
What if you never have children?

4. Keep up with your looks and do not let yourself go.
Again, what if you get an accident or something just makes you ugly?

5. Stop splitting the bills.
Even if he is broke, and he is sick?

6.Put yourself first, Always.
What if he decides to do the same?

Bro! Here's my take on girls, find your position in this survey.

1. Every girl has the main guy (Boyfriend) - This is the guy she can do an abortion for, this guy is her man! Her very own!

2. She has the immediate replacement, this fact I believe became a "thing" especially after Beyonce hit song "irreplaceable" - this is the guy that comes second best, they know its wrong to have someone like this especially when they know they have a guy they really love but the whole "men are dogs" thing and fear of losing something precious will prevent them from doing so. P.s Other reasons may apply, we're talking about women after all

3. The shag guy, this isn't a very popular one but everyone knows girls like bad boys though what they really like are their bad meat! Girls that have such guys will never let this one go - though this relationship is beneficial to both of them, the girl uses this kinda guys as human dildos and know better than to be anything but physical, but then again, we're talking about girls here so you can't be too sure.

4. Then there is the money-miss-road. I don't need to say any further, guys here use their money to toast or in other cases to get the girl! Its sad but at some point most guys are victims of these.

5. Then we have the forever friends - these guys are at the very top of the friend zone tower! They're the nice guys, no sense whatsoever, no command, no masculinity about them, moist and soft as pussy lips and an eye sore to other guys . These guys no matter how close they are or get with the girl can never get more than just a kiss from her. This is that zone every male specie dreads to venture in. Friend zone!

Sorry for the epistle but that chick has bought a room at the friend zone tower and your here asking God why!?

Lol. Number 5 is better than number 4 na,

I will strongly warn you not to marry him...he is "in love" now which is just fear of loosing you; his "prized possession"...when him eye go clear he will hate you so much he might just murder you. I was once there..cheated on..almost pinned pregnancy on me, STD carry join, was faithful too..then the final crack on the wall..she did some diabolic shii which hit me up real bad..u can say my village people finally found my near-delilah because since age 4 I have always tormented those people both spiritually and physically...after some serious pain I left. My life turned out pretty well in all aspects except that. 2 years later, God is still restoring me...I'm helping quite a number of persons, paying fees and all that..you can say I'm a nice guy..I have always been so..I still pray to God every morning to give me the grace not to visit her home and set her ablaze

Do not ever cheat on a man who truly loves you and go back to him....it seems you have not heard of crimes of passion...There is a thin line between passionate love and murderous rage. ...only fools fail to realize that the teeth the hyena uses to groom its cubs is the same it uses to bite off their ears.

someone truly loves you and you delibrately keep on hurting them....then you start disturbing heaven you want a good man at 35..smh..

BTW im with a good lady now..and I treat her like a queen..I'm just a nice guy.

Well, is that what being nice really means? We may be "nice" naturally but sometimes we need to build boundaries and be assertive to avoid being taken advantage of.

Typical runs girl actions. They don't change. You need to break up as soon as this night. Just cut all confacts with her and move on.
