RomanceRe: I Have Fallen Out Of Love Just When I Was Supposed To Have Proposed by indie22(f): 4:20am On Apr 12, 2010
Its called getting "cold feet". Just when you think its time to make a committment, u start going all funny and questioning your relationship, I bet if she ups and leaves you tomorrow, you'll be all over the place begging her to come back.

CultureRe: The Superstition Of The Osu Cast System In Igbo Land by indie22(f): 6:29pm On Apr 11, 2010
I'm from anambra and don't know much about the osu caste thing, the first time I heard about it was when one of my dad's closest friends had a daughter that was dating an "osu" as they called him. He vehemently kicked against the relationship and swore to disown the girl if she went ahead and married the guy. What surprised me tho, is that this man is a staunch christian as well as a deacon in church. I felt it was hypocrisy in its highest form!
CultureRe: Common 'madness' In Lagos? by indie22(f): 5:45pm On Apr 11, 2010
Says who? This incident happened in sururlere, on d street I grew up. It wasn't even late at night, twas about 7.30p.m, my neighbour came home from work and kept horning for his brothers to open d gate (he had a large family) when no one answered, he tried their mobile phones and they were all off, he got suspicious at that point coz there was light in d house and d gate was locked. He then alerted the neighbours. They decided to jst wait and watch, but they had a group of boys jst hang around the house like they were just gisting, it was opposite my house and I had a clear view from my balcony. Next thing this guy opens the gate, hands in his pocket and just strolls out of the compound, as he's coming out, someone shouts "ole ole emu ole"!!, the next thing I know is that there's wahala everywhere. Heard later the other 2 scaled the back fence and got away. He was beaten, dealt with and handed to the police by the street members, obviously non of the landlords wanted blood on their hands.
CultureRe: Common 'madness' In Lagos? by indie22(f): 12:20pm On Apr 11, 2010
Only in lagos can a thief be caught beaten blue and black, dat he has no strength to even walk, handed over to a police officer to take him to the station and book him. Only for pple to get to the station the next day, to be told that the theif bolted and ran away on the way to the station, Lagos na wa!

RomanceRe: What If Your Boyfriend's Spoken English Is Really Poor? by indie22(f): 5:36pm On Apr 10, 2010
I have a friend who is well educated, speaks well and holds a top position in a huge conglomerate, her husband on the other hand, though a grduate from a very wealthy home can shell for africa, e can fit to ta iban anyhow, but u knw, they are one of the happiest couples I've ever seen, he treats her like a princess and she loves him die! We used to make fun of her in uni, when they were still dating, now people envy their marriage! At the end of the day, it makes me wonder, does not being able to speak english matter afterall?

RomanceRe: Whats Ur Most Embarrassing Toasting Experience? by indie22(f): 7:14pm On Apr 09, 2010
Ok this wasn't a toasting experience, more like a school girl's crush. My older sis' boyfriend had this friend dat was so cute, u could spread him on a cracker and I had such a huge crush on him. Anyway one day I got back from lesson and there was my crush sitting down in the dining area gisting wiv my sis and her boyfie. I was kinda embarrassed being seen in my school uniform so I rushed to take a shower and make myself pretty. In my bid to impress him, I went to my oldest sis' room and sprayed on some of her designer perfume, see me feeling cool with myself that day, I then went and sat down in d dining area wiv them, I finally caught the guy's attention and we were talking abt random stuff. Next thing, my oldest sis comes into d dining demanding to know who sprayed her perfume, coz d fragrance is all over d place, I said nothing. She came close to me and asked me "cynthia was it you"? I replied "no sis", she came closer, sniffed and said "oh so now ure not afraid to use my stuff coz uve started talking to boys abi?, b4 I could say anything, she pulled my ear and then barked at me to kneel down, hands up and close my eyes, chei! Infront of my crush, I prayed for the ground to open up and just swallow me, see disgrace! Omo I no get choice sha, I kuku serve the punishment, wiv the whole house laughing at me, I hated my sis for a very long time after that!
RomanceRe: We Guyz Lie To Keep Our Girlfriends.abi Eyin Boboz Aint It True? by indie22(f): 6:44pm On Apr 09, 2010
Some lies are necessary, I reckon. But then y'all get carried away and come at us with all kinds of bogus, bullshit stories! My ex once spent the weekend at some chick's house, (we were leaving together btw) he came home on sunday evening telling me how he got clamped by the police, I was like, "really? And they didn't allow u make a phone call? He said, they took my phone and everything. I then asked him why they held him, he said "erm, I was driving under the influence", I calmly asked him "how come, u don't ev
en drink", he then reeled off sum long story bla bla bla! I just muttered to my self "see mumu" and just walked out on him!
RomanceRe: Is Possible To Love Someone And Cheat? by indie22(f): 6:33pm On Apr 09, 2010
I've never been able to come to terms wiv some men/ women that claim to love their partners , but still cheat on them, then stupidly say "I love my wife, but needed something different! When you're truly in love, u can't think of no one else but the person ure with, u don't want to be with any one else, with love comes respect, if u love and respect ur partner, the thought of cheating won't even cross ur mind, its enough to put you on a guilt trip!!, not unless its fake luv, lust or just sexual attraction, then u can bloody well do as you please!
