I have a business idea that I previously intended to execute with 30 million naira. Some elderly friends of mine complained that that amount was just too big to start with. Somehow, I stumbled on another idea to make it a global business venture and to achieve that I need at least 65 million dollars. Now they think am crazy.

But looking at the history of all great men that achieved something great in this life, Thomas Edison, Issac Newton, The Wright Brothers, e.t.c., people taught they were crazy when they heard their idea. I know this idea of my mine is crazy but it would definitely produce a sure-fire success.

So am asking the house, is it really wrong to start small? Does that mean that if you start big, there is a 100% chance that that project would be a failure?

I am pleased with some of the responses given so far.My guy,there are so many things wrong starting big.But amongst all other things I will like to let you know that God our creator started small ie one man and one woman it is not that he could not create the world as it is today or what the world will be like tomorrow but it is a design for u and I to replicate.

Its very simple to make money online without a product. You just need to learn how to do it. If you are not ready to learn + implement, then don't even bother.

Don't listen to anyone suggesting various different ways on how you can make money online. Find the fact yourself using google and stick with it.

Here's what i'll advice you:

a. Learn about digital products. Search for clickbank, paydotcom and plimus(they accept Nigerians) (Use google to search)

b. Learn how to search for what people want to buy. Use google keyword tool (search for it on google)

c. Learn how to set up simple Squeeze pages

d. Learn how to write autoresponder

e. Learn how to drive traffic to website

f. Start taking action! Start taking action,

If you use what i have shown you above, you'll be able to start your own online business easily without buying useless information from individuals who don't even have a clue about what they are selling.

And stop asking people on forum. Use Google to search for the thing i listed above, and read, read read and implement.

That's the advice of someone who has been there, done that!

This is a basic advise and I agree.The idea is simple get a profitable market,set up a website with ur squeeze page on it,build your list and recommend other people's product that you have used and will help them.Relate with ur list as much as possible and u'll be fine.
You can also get access to resale right products and sell and keep all the money.You have a variety of choices but the basic thing is that u have to sell something.
So you must above all other things learn to attract customers and sell to them.

I beg to differ on the above comments.To register a business name you need to do the folowing;
1. Walk into any CAC office.
2. Buy your business name form for only N250
3.You will be asked to pay N500 for name avaialability.
4.After two weeks you will now pay N4,000 for your business name.
Simple.

Even the oyinbos do this.Imagine someone selling a product and saying u do not need seo,ppc,facebook etc and is still using these mediums to advertise his products.

It depend of the kind of business you want to do online,  But i will advice you to start making N500 per day online just promoting affiliate links which is very easy and you will never spend any money doing it only your time.

That is just another easy way to go.Just set up a free blog with blogger and start promoting the blog.When u start earning then you may consider a domain name,web host and autoresponder.

You did not tell us if you have an online store that is selling the book.

If you have a facebook account,why not create a fan page to promote your business/e-book with your facebook friends. It is a great way to start.

You can use blogger,wordpress but you have to be careful of their rules and regulations. On Paypal
again i will say there are lots of ways Nigerians are getting around to register but
Paypal/blogger/wordpress are making a lot of money from people violating their terms and services.

I have people have made Thousands of dollars only for Payppal to remind them of their terms when you

Yes 5000 will get the job done online but you need to invest more than 5000 - your time.
you may and may not use a website when you start.

In simple steps;

1. find a product people are willing to pay money for: you can use nairaland
where you chat on to find your desired product
2. find the product and package it for your audience; you can find PLR material or cerate one yourself
3. come in contact with your audience. you can get back to Nairaland to promote your product
4. Follow the money: this is what you are looking for init-

This is close and you can still spend less than N5k.

In as much as you are allowed to have big dreams, you should understand that it takes one step at a time. You can't get to US without passing the atlantic ocean. If you think that cyiu can make fast money in no time without working on it, you would notice that after a year you wldnt be able to give account about your life.
