i had a miscarriage sometime in October last year, and had a D&C. i have since been TTC. ive followed all the rules wrt having sex during fertile period. i however noticed that my MC which usually was 28 days now consistently alternates between 26 and 29 days (i.e if my MC is 26 days this month, the next month will be 29 days and then 26 days etc.

also about 1 week before my period comes, i notice a slight pain on upper right abdomen(usually feel some hard lump)

should i be concerned? would i need to see a doctor?(I have one child already)

Do not worry it will stabilize.As par feeling dizzy you will need supplementation such as iron supplements ,Vit b and c and also Omega 3.Please do not 4get ur vegies ugwu and greens + healthy meals and fruits.If u can pls prepare an ugwu drink and drink it that will b great.

Since you have not noticed anything,then it is possible that you have not been ovulating at all (anovulation) or which is a symptom of irregular periods.

You did not take care of yourself adequately with lower abdominal massages with hot water recommended for women after child borth.Anyway,it will go in the course of time.Just let it be.

Eee..ya,it is not out of place.
My dear you have got to drink water so that u do not suffer from dehydration.Also stay away from fatty foods or foods that are spicy,they can trigger the vomit.
Also try to avoid perfumes,candles,air fresheners etc.
Make sure you eat little meals frequently and avoid over eating.Stop eating when u are full and eat when u feel hungry and I will conclude that you take peppermint flavor that are not sugary.

oyinmio: I stopped taking birth control pill last Nov and my menstrual cycle is still not normal I had 19, 21 & now its 25 days interval. My normal cycle was 28 days interval. How can I get pregnant since I can't calculate d exact ovulation time?

Look out for ovulation signs,such as (in some cases)mid-cycle spotting,tender breast,slight lower abdominal pain(though not every woman experiences this),increased sexual feelings,fuller vag lips,bloating in some cases,increased sensitivity of breast.Just look out for some of this symptoms.

Mar July: Doc, pls can taking lime or lemon when ttc affects conception.

Capital No.Rather it will aid your efforts to conceive.Enjoy lemon water every morning.It primarily helps to regularize ur ph level.Simply put it makes ur internal environment alkaline making it very conducive to conceive.It also helps to remove toxins and helps to clean the colon and the liver.

Take lemon water every morning to reduce the acidity of ur internal environment.This is important.

I went through successful ovulation induction in my late 20s and had twin babies who are doing fine. Now I want to try again. I have been to two specialists and they both insisted that because of my age ivf is the only option.
I am not really keen on ivf. Is it really true that at 35 years old I can't get pregnant through ovulation induction and natural conception?

Hypogonadism is diminished activity of d ovaries.So wot the result and the specialists are saying is that their ovaries can not perform optimally.At that age you can get pregnant thru ovulation induction.

On the 2nd of Aprilm I had this terrible backache and lower abdominal pain. It was pianfull that I was unable to stand straight. I also started bleeding (the blood was fresh looking and not like menses. One thing I noticed was the back/lower abdominal pains supsided almost immediately. but I bled for more than one week before all the pains as well as the blood stopped.

Just this wednesday, 25th of April, I had sexual intercourse with my husband and I was shocked to see blood from my vagina when I cleaned. This happened immediately after the intercourse with my husband. I have been bleeding red blood for the past 3 days and its flowng far more than my menses. I also have slight backache and lower abdomen discomfort, as well as slight thigh cramps.

Studies have shown that smoking affects fluid health which in turn affects the quality of fluid such as low fluid count,low motility rate and also the shape of fluid.
Alcohol has same effects as above only that a few drinks may not affect you much but if you are trying please cut it off completely.

She has to be monitored closely,if the evacuation is incomplete then she may have to complete it.

It is good u know what the cause is.Please go for hormonal assay.
May be u can try Fertilaid or Feminine Herbal Complex.
But going for the hormone assay is the right way to go.

mercifull: Hi doc,i'm 27yrs old n Dh is 32.We've been married for over 2yrs now n TTC.i noticed a clear watery discharge from my breast when i press it from when i was 12 n its still there till now.Attained menarche at 14 and have a regular 26days cycle.i've had painful menses 4rm 16yrs.Took a lot of ibuprofen nd the likes till i had ulcer nd had to stop.Now i use tramadol for over a yr now though i still use diclofenac when its very bad.my scan results r normal including HSG and follicullar tracking with n without clomid.Uterus is retroverted,could that be a problem?hormonal profile shows normal prolactin,not high normal o.progesterone n oestrogen were a bit low though my DR says its negligible cos it was done on day 3MC.dh count is 39million n other parameters r normal.my Dr says i'm too anxious.so what cld be d prob.i've taken bromocriptine n clomid 3 cycles no conception.Is it true that doing evacuation during menses helps?pls i need ur advice.don't really know what d problem is.

There is nothing wrong with ur uterus.The problem could be u.I agree wit ur dr that u're anxious.You are allowing circumstances take its toll on u.Take a break from all this drugs (excluding folic acid) in ur next cycle,eat healthy fertility foods and time intimacy properly.

How long is this irregularity? How old is the lady?
To answer u anyway,

Yes and No.Yes,in the sense that,if d cycle is monthly and stress or maybe travels or illness is responsible for the irregularity.In this case, all u need do is to know ur ovulation period and take advantage.Or probably,remove stress and recover from the illness if any and when stability returns she can try to conceive.

And No, if d cause of the irregularity is caused by the increase or decrease of hormones in ur body.Other factors could play a role (some of which has explained in my previous posts). It is important to go for a hormonal assay so as to determine what is amiss.
MyhA001 made some sense,are u overweight or underweight?just like I said ealier other factors maybe responsible.

Mar July: Hell Dr,

My BBT chart is reads 33+- 34, i hardly get 35 and above that is why i always go for follicle scan to determine my ovulation. I just bought another Thermometer (OMRON). I will start using it on my next cycle if am not pregnant. How many hours of sleep do i need b/4 taking the bbt chart. I normally wakes up around 1.00-2.00am to ease myself and finally get up between 5.00-5.30am in the morning to take it.

At least 4 hours of good sleep will be ok.

Mar July: I dont see egg-white during my ovulation but my follicle scan always confirm my ovulation. Is anything wrong with that. I want to try omega 3-6-9, Vit: B6(100mg), D3(1000mg), C65mg and folic Acid(400mcg), from my next cycle. Hope is ok and which product is better. Lately, i have been having temperature. I will be 34 by JULY

Well it is not out place if you do not c EWCM at the same time it is not normal.Fertile CM will help in d production of cervical mucus.Why do u want to try those in ur next cycle.Anyway folic acid is a must.Happy birthday in advance.My sister please thrive to worry less.

A re u sure he is not depressed? Does he experience erection while sleeping? I will also like to add please make sure you do not make your love making like a routine bout.It will always be boring and it may not appeal much to him since it is more of a chore.Both of you should try, to be creative infact enjoy your bodies before the act.

Yes you may not see it soon.My wife gave birth last August and she started her Menses February.Yours may not be as long as that but your body is not ready for another kick.
Cramps in the lower abdomen is not uncommon,your uterus is contracting and relaxing by closing the wounds from child birth that is why you feel those pains.You will surely be ok.Just make sure you relax well.

Nothing really, but there are quite some reasons why you are experiencing cramps.Some of them may include lack of exercise and emotional stress.

‎​•·♥·♡ τнäиκs ♥·♡·•°.[/quote]My sister,the test reveals high levels of prolactin as normal levels falls between 3.8-23.2 and as such may interfere with ovulation.The resultant effect is decreased level of progesterone as seen in ur result.So you have high levels of prolactin and low level of progesterone as stated by the result.You will have to balance your hormones.

And as for leaking sperm,I will give you my two cents.Many of us go to work during the day and come back home stressed up and tired.The male fluid after all this hustle may not maintain its thickness as it should normally be.Now my two cents,bd in the wee hours of the morning when the body must have rested properly and his fluid fresh(in fact intimacy is sweeter at this time). After bd, place ur backside on a pillow and relax for about 30 minutes.No toilet visiting within this period.God will help you.

larayat: Pls any doc in d house...I av a twin sis dah has virgina discharges....its yellowish in colour n thick like yorgurt..she says its smells afta awhile....n dis startd arnd Dec 2012...she was hopn it wil stop but it hasn't....n shez realy shy of goin 2 d clinic....pls if derz anytin she can take....n am stil d closest person she can confide in...pls...I'l b patiently waitn 4 your medical advice.

Pls let her see a doctor.Being shy will only add to her problems.
