@Chestnut I do not foresee any problem.It is usually like that after evacuation.But if the flow does not stop after 7 days you may need to c ur doctor.

No,it won't stop you from getting pregnant.

I am 25 years old and my period is very irregular sometimes its as long as 35 days or more sometime one month off nd on.
I have been to the doctor and he recommended I go for a scan which I did and the result came out perfect'I.e nothing seem to be wrong.I was given evening primrose oil and one other ferrous something can't remember the name but after taking it my cycle was 28 days after which it moved to 30 nd then 34 nd it has become irregular again.
Please Doctor what do you think could be the cause?

I am sure you stopped taken the prescription that is why it fluctuated after u had it for 28 days.The causes could just be anything from your daily activities,to stress,addition of weight,eating habits,illness,travels,and so on.Any way I will advice you the dr.Make sure eat and live right and you should be ok.

I believe u should be ok now.But in reality you have to be really mindful of the drugs you take.You will have to consult your dr b4 u take them.

Good you are pregnant again.But it will be important that the cause of the last mc is known so that this time around corrective measures will be taken to avoid another mc.Try and talk to your dr.There is nothing to be scared of.God will give you the strength to carry ur baby full term this time around.In Jesus name.

Thnks.[/quote]progesterone level rises after ovulation and drops if the egg is not fertilized preparing for the onset of menstruation.The drop in that test result is too low below normal values to actually confirm that ovulation occured.Pls can u tell me the no of ur cycle days.

I believe you have started doing something to get rid of it.It won't stop you from getting pregnant though.

Yes,there is nothing wrong with having a 3 days flow.

Chestnut: Dr help M̶̲̅ε̲̣̣̣̥,I missed my period in april,had a urine pregnancy tst which was positive,I went for a blood PT after 2 wks cos I wasn't feeling pregnant bt it was also positive.I started seeing blood d following day it came as spotting but later turned to a heavy flow of thick blood,I weent to hospital but was given an injection and primolute tab. I did a scan which read dat there was nothing in d uterus.I bled for 2 wks b4 seeing anoda DR who told M̶̲̅ε̲̣̣̣̥ to av anoda scan which shows retained product I went for evacuation immediately.N̶̲̥̅̊o̲̣̥w̶̲̥̅̊ its been 3wks after d evacuation. Am yet to see my mc and I do av abdominal pain sometime.pls wen shld I xpect to get pregnant again cos I really need a baby asap.thanks

Just three wks after evacuation and you are worried? Your periods will return soon and then you can start trying again.

So from d result does it mean am ovulting or nor cos I don't see the egg white cm.[/quote]You have high prolactin and this can interfere with ovulation.It is possible there was a form of ovulation but progesterone values of over 10 will confirm normal ovulation cycles.I am sorry I am not too sure if you are ovulating at all.

please i had a cerclage placed on the 17th of April at 13weeks. on the 6th of may i had a membrane rupture and lost the baby at 16weeks. i feel so devasted as i had a perterm birth last year at 26weeks the baby died after 2days. please any reason why this happening as i thot the cerclage was to prevent perterm birth.

Premature rupture of membranes is one of the risks associated with the usage of cerclage.The risks far outweighs its advantages.

Sorry about the mc.It means just what u wrote.You had an infection as a result of the evacuation you had.You have nerves of steel to have kept yourself till now without getting rid of the infection.The earlier you get treated the better for you so as not to incur other complications.

Yes,you may need to go for SWAB test.

I will advice you see a doctor to rule out menstrual abnormalities.I will not like to go into details here so as not to scare you.But pls do see a dr.

Depends on the supplements you are taking.Why do you want to stop it?

Mar July: Hello Dr, dh did Semen test and his count was low. The test culture also show yielded moderate growth of enterococcus species after 24hrs incubation at 37c. What is it and does it have any effect on fertility and me as well. If yes, what kind of test should i go for. He wants to go for fertilaid for his spermm count. thank you.

Yes it does have effect on fertility,it can caused by UTI amongst other causes.Yes he can use fertilaid to boom his sperm count but will need to see a dr for the removal of the traces of enterococcus or get supplements that can do justice to it.

bolorunfem: Thanks Doc, I 'sharply' saw a gynae as advised and a swab was taken, doc immediately placed me on a 7-day gentamycin injection, flagyl tabs 1tab 3ce daily/7days, augmentine 1x3, one other tab that I took 1/2 3ce daily and 6 tabs I inserted vag.inally. I was to see doc on completion of the treatment (i.e 1week later) and that is when he saw the result which revealed mild growth of staph. My concern now is that he said the infection showed resistant to GENTAMYCIN and that he would then place me on something else so I exclaimed that does it mean I only suffered the pain of 7days injections in vain and that would I have to take a fresh round of injections (I did not even talk about the money? Then he said a quick 'No-No' and that he would only place me on Cyprotab and that should take care of it.

Now my question is since the resistance issue was mentioned, does it not mean the gentamycin had no effect? Will cyprotab completely clear the infection totally (I don't want to be partially treated oh). Can you recommend anything else that can completely clear off the mess from my system? Sorry for my epistle, I await your response. Thank you.

Well start with the cyprotab that is its job and lets see.

You have to be sure that your period is regular 35 days that is,you must have calculated your past 3-5 periods as 35 days to be sure that your period is 35days.And if it is then you can using your test kit whenever you begin to experience temp rise in your body and when you start to notice a discharge like Egg white cervical mucus(EWCM).Or you start testing from day 15.

Injections or drugs do not proffer permanent solution they just temporary relief.In as much as possible try to improve your food with more of vegs and greens,vegetable fruits and fruits(juicy ones) and also get supplements to help you further as no matter the amount of nutrients you get from food it may never be enough.
And if you are overweight try to reduce it.The most important is to correct the events in your cycle.

In one sentence your enemy has tubal blockage.You have to see a gyn for further diagnosis.

Do you feel as if you do not ovulate?Why not confirm by getting an ovulation predictor Kit (OPK)

Pls confirm before you start administering anything.You can confirm if u ovulated in ur last
cycle if you go for an hormonal assay on cd21

Do not make love on that day.Start making babies two days before ur ovulation period that means if you expect ovulation on the 18th day,start bd from 16 - 19.For better results
