Stupidity of the highest order! It is the Police, who did not do a thorough intelligent gathering before jumping to someone's house that should be sued to court. What kind of childishness is all this? You mean if I tipped you on information about something, you will not do due diligent on it? What differentiate this police officers from "Agbero"?

So Oga, what are you saying? For me restructuring means devolution of everything from the so called centre to the state, while the centre monitors and regulate how policies of govt are implemented. Is that too hard to understand?

Let me share mine here, though just few.

Today I just decided to go through my post on Politics and I found this interesting and want to share again.
How true this is? Undeniably true.

I remember one evening, about pass 4PM in Lagos State Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja. I was with a group of other Lagosians during the peak period of Presidential election campaign. I was asked why I choose to vote for GMB instead of PMB?

This was my answer: I said "though I am not too pleased with GMB style when it comes to taking action when necessary. But I still prefer him to PMB.

My Reasons: When PMB declared his intention to run as Nigeria President, I went to investigate PMB's records of mind development after he left office as a Military Head of State. I was shocked when I discovered he never developed his mind after that. I tried to search further, yet I could not find one.

So I asked myself, "How will this man handle this dynamic, technical and highly tech world? I discovered that governance today needs a lot more than words and zeal.

When PMB was in power then the world wasn't a "Global Village". What that phrase means is that your action or inaction will have impact on the next neighbour, which may be the next state, country or continent. What that phrase means is that everything now has single centre point. It means we are closer than ever.

I'm sorry to say this but I must say that PMB lacks the today's skill to handle a dynamic, multi-cultural country like Nigeria as well as the dexterity in dealing with today's world. He is very confuse. This is very clear. He has no direction. That is the worst!

Up till now I don't believe Nigeria is in recession or depression as most people attribute it today. How can we? I have toured this whole country by God's grace and I have seen the strength of each state and region.

What we have today is not Economy Recession, rather it is Minds Recession which happens to be the worst recession. The minds of our Leaders are in great recession or better still, depression. This is the worse recession one could ever pray for.

I am pained to see our children suffering due to lack of our leaders mental strength. Their mental laziness is alarming!

In conclusion, I want to say that the elites are not doing well at all. The intellectuals are misleading the people. They have failed. I will not end this if I don't make mention of Chief Olusegun Obasenjo's selfish and misleading role in all these. Shame on him. IBB, you haven't corrected your wrong yet. You need to do this before it is too late.

Most batteries on heavy use are 2 to 3 years then you replace them making the solar/inverter concept not to be so superb. so for me get a brand new diesel generator and regular NEPA.

My brother, after 2 years in my new business, I discovered that I need something that can work without noise. Something that can power my bulbs, fan and about 4 computer systems when "NEPA" and my Generator are off. I was given cost estimate on solar + inverter and the cost run into millions of Naira.

CAC should provide my friend with the company they said had the same name. We have gone through the public search and we cannot find the name and they also did their search before approving the name. Please they need to do justice to this.

Hello, I understand you're pained and all but you have to read the Company and Allied Matters Act and also the caveat clearly stated in the registration portal.
Anyway, I understand the frustration but I fear the worst you can do is write to them for refund if your client is not interested in substituting the name. The reason is that, you cannot force CAC to register an already existing name...

PS... Not all company names are on cac website... Regards

Thanks @jimihendrix, but I think we have submitted ourselves to abnormalities in this country. We have given way to incompetence and mediocrity in this country. CAC has its Acts, but that Act, I am sure does not support incompetence. My friend paid for Availability, which gives CAC the time to check if the name applied for is in existence or not. That stage was passed, certified and the name approved. Only for them to come and tell you at the end of the day that the name in question is not available.

Are they going to pay for the time they wasted, the business card and letter head done on the approved name, the company zeal and the rest?
I am of the opinion that such incompetence should and must be stopped.

Send CAC customer care a mail forwarding your complaint since the letter was issued to you by your collection point and not directly from the headquarter. However such mistake is a rare one since you have been issued a registeration number already

Thanks for your response @kinibigdeal, my friend attached the above document and sent it to CAC via email and they claimed that the letter is from them. It was from that point I decided to make it Public on his behalf because I really felt bad about it. Is this what the Federal Government call Ease of Doing Business?

I will follow this one to the end. I will get the last email sent by CAC asking my friend to pick up his certificate dated 9th of February, 2018. What nonsense!

Hi everyone, my friend shared this experience with me and I told him something was fishy about this.

My friend filed for a company name and it was approved, paid for and processed. On the 9th of February CAC sent him a mail that he should pick up his certificate from the office he processed the name, which is Aluasa, Lagos branch. On getting there he was handed a letter dated 4th of February that his registration was rejected on the ground that there is existing company with similar name. NB: Please note the two dates above.

So I decided to do public search on the name lo and behold, I did not see such name. Moreover, I was wondering though, if it is possible for someone to process company to the point of certificate collection before CAC will discover that such company has similar name?

Please expert in the house help me to assess this case. Is there corruption in this process? See below the result of the public search.


The company name in Question is Datapower Technologies Ltd with RC No: 1468749 and the one alleged to be in existence is Datapower Technology Ltd with RC: 995253.

The later is not in public search.

I never said all Voters Card are like this. My point is that the moment the operator of that machine noticed that the printer(s) has run out of ink, the best thing to do is to stop the process and refill the printer, that is if they don't have a backup which shouldn't be the case. Don't you know the important of that card? When something is wrong, it is wrong. Do not try to justify something wrong. I came across many of that card recently in my office. Some of them you can't even see the faces of the person on the Card due to poor capture and printout.

INEC should make sure they reprint these cards if not, they holders will not be able to make use of them.

I am greatly burdened by the way we execute important things in this country. I decided to publish this particular post because I have come across this type of Voter's Card recently in my office and it is becoming too much.

I run an ICT Centre and I have a business centre at the front of that same office. Recently people have been coming to laminate their voter's card there and I wondered why such. Most importantly, what raises my curiosity was the color of the Temporary voter's card. Then I decided to ask one of them why they were bringing the stuff to a business centre for lamination and why the Card colour looks like this. I was shocked that they were asked to pay a certain amount to laminate the card in the Registration Centre. To even make the matter worst, they will have to queue for it as well, or you can as well "Tip" a security officer there to help you fasten the process.

My problem is not the "Tip" but the way the Temporary Voter's Card Registration is handled. Are these Agencies serious at all? How can they make use of printer that run out of ink? Is there no provision for ink replacement? To make the matter worst, the way some of the passports are taken is even laughable. Someone will be looking up or sideways and they will still snap you and print this rubbish. Ain't they know how important this is? INEC needs to sit up and know that Nigerians will not take any excuse from them if they fail to execute the next election freely and fairly. We will not accept any form of failure from INEC.

When are we going to do things the right way and with purpose? This Nation is still struggling with National Database, and the avenue to create one is being mishandled.

After the whole scenario and saga of the Dr. Oji Alllwell who took his life by jumping from 3rd mainland bridge, I had known and come to notice that life isn't all about money and riches. Who would have thought that a young man of his age who is a Medical Doctor, own an SUV and a driver and might be living in a very comfortable house will commit suicide.

The whole internet was full with sympathy to the family, insults to the young man and many felt why will a young man who is a Medical Doctor and living comfortably will commit suicide. But the truth about it is if you haven't suffered depression, false accusation and so many challenges in life you will think life is all about comfort, roses and possession of wealth...............
