Education / Re: Dear Ex-classmates by ini4brandon(m): 7:30pm
My primary school mate accidentally stumbled into my office yesterday. Instinctively he reeled out my 3 names (thank goodness he didn't mention that nickname) to the amazement of my colleagues. Life has changed our trajectories but it was fun relieving those years in Aka1 Primary School.
In summary, value your childhood friends and classmates, you can't buy back your youth but they'll give it to you free of charge.
Religion / Re: The Truth About Christ Embassy Healing School by ini4brandon(m): 10:21pm On Mar 24
bobokanis:
@ poster.
I have another version of this healing school.
I have a clse friend who had spent hundreds of thousand of naira on his one ear old daughter who was had kidney problem at the National hospital Abuja.
After months of unending spendings with no improvement at the hospital, he decided to try the healing school of Christ Embassy.
At the healing school after a couple of weeks, the girl was ministered to by Pastor Chris and surprisingly she was healed.
This girl will be 3 yrs old soonest hale, strong and vibrant.
So what do you think about that?
This is not a story, I am a living witness.
You are right to some extent but you are somehow ignorant that your interpretation of faith is based on your feelings rather than what the Word of God teaches.
You are entitled to your opinion but all I know is that your motive for going to the healing school was basically wrong "so Pastor Chris could touch your sick folk!". Does he have to before healing comes?
Finally, if Pastor Chris is trully your role model, father and all those things you called him, I doubt you strongly if he is all these to you. You are definitely one of those who proclaim to be a member of BLW but is actually "completing the square".
To be continued
While not trying to ridicule your faith in miracles, I advice that you shouldn't also be quick to rule out the long term efficacy of the drugs this young girl was given at the hospital. Medications unlike miracles take some time to yield observable desired effects. As journalists would say, there is a possibility the young child's 'miraculous' recovery at the healing school was not unconnected to her previous hospital stay.

I knew one of them, Irene Edwin. I was her client where she was worked before enrolling in Ikot Esurua.
She was very beautiful, well mannered and honest. Served her customers diligently and professionally.
The last time we met, she said with excitement in her eyes, "Sir, I have gotten admission to read Laboratory Science at AkwaPoly"..... I wished her well and we parted.
Never knew that would be the last time. Sad loss indeed.

Family / Mum Died On Our Wedding Anniversary. How Do I Turn It Around Next Year? by ini4brandon(m): 3:42pm On Jun 22, 2023
My dear loving mum succumbed after a hard battle to cancer barely three days ago. We are hurting intensely.
Wifey was 💯% supportive through it all.
Toghether we fed and tucked her into bed the last night. Toghether, we cried the next morning when she breathed her last.
Mum slept 7:30am. on 19th June. It was our wedding anniversary date!! Mixed feelings you'd say?
Hmmm...We all miss her so dearly.
My question is, how will I balance these painful thoughts with the joy of subsequent anniversaries because definitely, the sad memories will flood in on June19th 2024.

Family / Re: Should A Man Live In His Parents House After Getting Married? by ini4brandon(m): 3:17pm On Jun 22, 2023
As an only child, I've lived under the same roof with my parents, though in separate flats for the past 7 years. No major issues. We stay, pray and play toghether lol.

It all depends on how you relate with your better half. My wife knows she became the Numero Uno in my life (after God that is wink) from the day we said our marriage vows. However, she also realizes my parents are very precious to me.

My parents' deep knowledge of the Holy Scriptures makes them easily accept the fact that my wife and I are actually "One". They respect thier boundaries even on issues like who should spank our kids.
The bonding with their grandkids keep thier spark alive. I verbally remind them how much I love them.

I've always told my wife we have the option to move out whenever she so desires. The way it is currently, I doubt she ever will.

Sadly, my dear mum succumbed to cancer barely three days ago. Wifey was 💯% supportive untill the night before mum died, Toghether we tucked her into bed that night. Toghether, we cried when she breathed her last the next morning.
Mum slept....7:30am. on 19th June. It was our wedding anniversary date!! Mixed feelings you'd say?
Hmmm...We all miss her so dearly.

In summary, it really boils down to the kind of lady you marry and well, the kind of parents you have. The key phrase is ; mutual respect for boundaries.

The club chairman Ayansi did a great job too.

There are several people named Yakubu....this is a "muslim name thou" MURIC may kick. Also if someone uses this song to spite a Yakubu somewhere; it could lead to a serious fight. Rather than use a name of a person ,INEC should have been used.
