Scammers, stop sending me emails. |
Has anyone actually listened to the audio Bible Experience where Pastor Adefarasin spoke as "God" in the Book of Genesis and Exodus? Its awesome !! |
I am an atheist, out and out. It took me a long time to say it. I've been an atheist for years and years, but somehow I felt it was intellectually unrespectable to say that one is an atheist, because it assumed knowledge that one didn't have. Somehow it was better to say one was a humanist or agnostic. I don't have the evidence to prove that God doesn't exist, but I so strongly suspect that he doesn't that I don't want to waste my time." (Isaac Asimov / 1920-1992) ""I have observed that the world has suffered far less from ignorance than from pretensions to knowledge. It is not skeptics or explorers but fanatics and ideologues who menace decency and progress. No agnostic ever burned anyone at the stake or tortur." (Daniel J. Boorstin, American historian and author / 1914 - 2004) "I do not consider it an insult, but rather a compliment to be called an agnostic. I do not pretend to know where many ignorant men are sure - that is all that agnosticism means." (Clarence Darrow / 1857-1938 / Scopes trial / 1925) "The mystery of the beginning of all things is insoluble by us, and I for one must be content to remain an agnostic." (Charles Darwin / 1809-1882 / quoted from James A. Haught, "Breaking the Last Taboo" / 1996) "Well, I tell you, if I have been wrong in my agnosticism, when I die I'll walk up to God in a manly way and say, Sir, I made an honest mistake." (Henry Louis Mencken / 1880-1956) As to the gods, I have no means of knowing either that they exist or do not exist." (Protagoras / 485-410 BC / in Plato's Theaetetus) "O God, if there is a God, save my soul if I have a soul." (Ernest Renan / 1823-1892) "An atheist, like a Christian, holds that we can know whether or not there is a God. The Christian holds that we can know there is a God; the atheist, that we can know there is not. The Agnostic suspends judgment, saying that there are not sufficient grounds either for affirmation or for denial. At the same time, an Agnostic may hold that the existence of God, though not impossible, is very improbable; he may even hold it so improbable that it is not worth considering in practice. In that case, he is not far removed from atheism." (Bertrand Russell / 1872-1970) |
I really like Pastor Paul Adefarasin and his style of preaching/teaching. He was recently auditioned in US to provide the voice of "God" in the Bible Experience recording of the Old Testament due to his unique British/American/African authoritattive accent. http://www.usatoday.com/news/religion/2007-07-09-bible-recording_N.htm |
havezoe:Where is the exact location of this mini-estate in Calabar?( Calabar South?,Ekorinim?MCC? 8 Miles?,Marian Rd/Efio Ete axis?,etc, etc) When were the buildings built ? Are you advertising the estate for sale or are you just inviting us to view the splendour of the place? odical:@Odical, I have sent you an email, you could check on www.crossriverforum.org for more research information. chukslist:The "change" in Calabar is not an overnight success. There are lots of historical antecedants responsible. Calabar was the first capital of pre-colonial Nigeria in 1914; when there were only 4 legislative seats in Nigeria under the 1922 Cliffords Constitution-Lagos had 3 seats while Calabar had 1. Calabar had contact with missionaries since the 18th century which has influenced the way things get done there. Using the historical antecedants of Calabar,Donald Duke created a brand and decided to market Cross River through Calabar. He developed the Calabar Slave museum, the Old Calabar Residency and the Marina Beach Resort as Tourist sites. He introduced the Calabar Carnival using the rich culture of the people as an annual Tourist affair. He took up lots of debt to construct roads on a pay-as-you-build contract basis with Strabag, thereby opening up so many erstwhile remote parts of Calabar to good feeder roads and high quality road networks; and encapsulated his vision in the Tinapa Business Resort which has finally received the Fed Govt gazette to operate as a Free Trade Zone. Finally he refurbised and marketed the Obudu Mountain Resort (formerly Obudu Cattle Ranch ) as a world class tourist destination. After all said and done-its the people of Cross River that make the difference. The life-style of the people endears them to all Nigerian over the country so its quite easy for non-indigenes to settle in Calabar, integrate and contribute to the development of the state. Now everyone wants to build a house in Calabar, everyone with a house in Calabar is now converting it to a Hotel (which is the latest goldmine there now) and everyone with a Hotel is thinking of the next business venture to delve in to take advantage of the newly upgraded Cosmopolitan staus of Calabar. There is an influx of brand new Chrysler and Toyota cars everywhere, the traffic lights and street lights there are much better than that of Lagos and when the Calabar Energy City project gets on the way there would be an independent supply of power outside the national grid . Armed robbers have no pleasure in Calabar as there is only one -route into Calabar (i.e the Odukpani junction which is the intersection between the Calabar/Ikom and Calabar/Itu highways) and its quite easy to cordon them off. |

You need to watch the film "City of God" and make your conclusions about security in Brazil |
Bossman:Go and get your Nigerian passport back from the Nigerian Embassy (wherever?),its still valid. |
beefy23:Bad scare tactics. I encourage every Nigeria who has the dream/vision/aspiration/incentive/motivation to travel abroad to go ahead and pursue it. Proverbs 26:13 "A lazy person says, "There's a ferocious lion out on the road! There's a lion loose in the streets!".Make adequate preparations and take that bold step-irrespective of the negative stories . |
The British/US governement do not have the right to invalidate your Nigerian passport. |

The person should be ready to be swarmed with lots extended family members looking for assistance, and sisters in church too looking for a God-sent husband. |
What kind of visa did you apply for ? |
abhosts:I have it on good authority that the tciket can be purchased with Cash from any of their ticket offices? The 2 week in advance notice before paying online is not a sustainable business model if they were trying to increase passenger turnover |

kufreabasi:The Police call a N20 bribe "Half-current", while a N50 bribe is termed as "Full-current". When they stop a driver along the Aba-Ph Owerri/Enugu axis. The demand for Full-current, while the driver will be negotiating " Oga, I beg collect Half-current now".Quite funny |
I am looking for a reliable Architect |
Scam smelling ![]() |
Nope. Donald Duke would make a better President than Prof.Pat Utomi. Donald Duke has a much more proven pedigree in an executive capacity while Prof.Utomi's proven pedigree is mainly theoretical (on the dailies,LBS and Patito's gang) |
@larez, Try and post pictures of 3,4 and 5 bedroom bungalows. They have a wider market appeal for potential builders in Nigeria and should be a bit more feasible and cost effective to implement too. |
What kind of stuff I can purchase here and sell in Nigeria for a tidy profit. |
WilyWily:Would Bakassi have been sold to Cameroon if it was under the sovereignty of The Republic of Biafra ?? |
I wonder where all the good girls in London are ? |
The BHC/VAC will contact you on when to get your passport, but there is no harm in contacting them with information from the AIT. They would respond by telling you that they are aware and that you would be contacted later on. |
