Sports / Re: Brighton Have Qualified For European Football — It’s The First Time In The Club by intruder15(m): 12:36am On May 22, 2023
obembet:
Brighton secured qualification for European football for the first time in their history with a 3-1 win over Southampton.

A win, due to their superior goal difference, means they are all but set to finish in the Premier League top six which guarantees Europa League qualification.

Exactly 40 years since their only major final appearance in the FA Cup when defeated by Manchester United, this was a historic day for a football club that avoided relegation from the football league on the final day of the 96/97 season with a 1-1 draw that sent Hereford down on goal difference. Their rise has been astronomical under the ownership of Tony Bloom.

Huge achievement for the club, players and for the coach Roberto de Zerbi.

If Westham wins the final, that is an automatic qualifier to the Europa league. Which means that Brighton won't qualify

What's the difference then?

Missing script is like being absent for an exam. It means you don't have any score.
You will definitely rewrite the course. However, your initial score does not exist.

Carryover is mostly inferred when you actually failed the course. Which means that it will degrade your GP for that semester. Your scenario has no impact on your GP which is a good thing.

Good day everyone
Please the admins should take this to the front page please 😭😭

I'm currently a 400 level student of Enugu State University Of Science And Technology, Computer Engineering, and we're currently facing a big issue, which the management of the school wants to keep hidden.

Here's what's happening,We wrote a practical on Feg293 when we were in 300 level First semester and I all submitted my practical manuals and made sure to attend the Classes the lecturer did have with us. So I'm currently in 400 level 1st semester and our Results for the course was released, and to my very surprise I had missing scripts

Upon seeing I had a missing scripts, I noticed that 80% of the class had missing scripts also. And the lecturer is requesting that we all make Payments of ₦7000 before we have our original results uploaded and assigned to us , and failure to do so will result in us having carryovers

And the whole class is just keeping mute on this matter fearing the lecturer and not wanting to say anything, please I know that we can get our voices heard, this is not right

Attached below is the results he uploaded

Missing script is not carry over. Las las you write the course again and pass.
Family / Re: Is It Okay To Let Your Fiancée Know Your Monthly Salary Range? by intruder15(m): 9:29pm On May 19, 2023
babaYIBO:
I’ve been dating this girl since early last year when I was still serving and she’s really into me. She doesn’t bill me unless I purposely send her something. And we occasionally hangout a lot too.

By mid last year, I brought her home to meet my mum and some of my siblings. My mum likes her so much and she would spend time with me in our house.

I finished my service around September last year, and I started hunting for job. I was taking online classes etc..

So I got a job earlier this year, and the pay isn’t bad. Only my mum knows how much I’m earning and few friends. My girl doesn’t know.

Now, I’m likely to be getting a pay rise this month.

I’m also planning to get married to this girl next year, hopefully, she’s been a good girl even when I was jobless.

I don’t know if it’s okay to let her know my salary range. Although I’d not be telling her specifically the amount.

Is this a good idea?

Let it flow. What do I mean?
Does she ask you about your finances from a potential billing perspective? I guess not based on what you described of her.
Women that naturally bill you will bill you more when they know you earn more.
Women that naturally don't bill you won't feel any different if they knew you were earning more.
Several things works for several people. Each have it's pros and cons which are heavily dependent on the parties involved.
Hence, follow your heart taking into consideration;
* Her financial meticulousness
* Your financial meticulousness
* Her billing tendencies
* Your extravagant spending tendencies.

Solution: Seek for other sources of income maybe online or a tangible side hustle.

What does your wife do for a living?

Also, seek to join co-operative societies where you can dave and later borrow money to buy the car you want for Uber.

Express all these to your wufe as well so that you both can make your goals a family project to strive at.

Above all, no matter what happens, do not impregnate your wife with a baby for now... Cheers sir grin

Family / Re: My Dad's Friend Willed 90% Of His Properties To His Daughters And Not His Son by intruder15(m): 5:31pm On Apr 25, 2023
IyaebeTheGreat:
My Dad's friend and his family are in a mess now as the second wife (now ex) sued him over willing more than 90% of his properties and other valuable possessions to his first and second daughter.

It started long ago when he got married to his first wife(now ex) who had two daughters for him, they were childhood lovers and they lived perfectly.

However trouble started when he got a job in portharcourt and he met this other woman who came for IT , he discovered this woman is from our home town and he got more attracted and decided to keep her as a mistress, but the woman wanted more.

So, the affairs started over there and she was practically living with him while the wife stayed back home. Soon information started reaching his wife about this other woman but the wife always discard such information saying her husband isn't such type of person.

When the same information keeps reaching her, she decided to pay him an impromptu visit and boom she met this other woman there already acting as a wife, she confronted the husband and he told her he intends marrying her as his wife, she got angry and left back to base(home town).

When this other woman came home, she informed this man that she was beaten up by his wife's mother and siblings when she was passing by their house ( it was all lies) and the husband came home and arrested his wife (her 1yr old baby was in the cell with her as well), her mother and all her siblings and further went ahead to marry the other woman.

It was so messy that divorce was the only option they had left, he also forcefully took her two daughters from her and they were now under the care of the new wife. That was how the other woman became his wife and had three children for him( a boy and two girls).

After several years, the children are all grown, he gave them the best training and he endured so much bad behavior from this second wife to save face not until he caught her with charms inside a sack of garri that was sent to her by her mother and that was the last action that led to their separation. He married another woman making it the third one.

The third woman came and couldn't conceive because the second woman made a vow that as long as she remained married to her husband, she'll never bear children. Till today the third woman never had any child but she remained in her marriage childless.

Now, this man has come of age and decided to have a will on all his properties and other possessions. Surprisingly he willed over 90% of his properties and all other possessions to his first two daughters from his first wife leaving his only son from the second wife with only a landed property.

The second wife got hint of this and vow to deal with him by all means. She has sued him to court and involved his kinsmen but this man insists that that's the only compensation he can give to the first wife who never offended him in any way and maintained that he's not going back on his decision.

As at now family and friends are on his neck to have a change of decision considering the fact that his only son is very responsible and does not portray any form of threat or irresponsibility but he's obviously not listening and maintained that nothing can make him change his decision.

Please is he right with such drastic decision?

Is there sense in willing almost all you posses to a female child who will take such inheritance to another family?

How best will you handle such type of situation?

It's his will, his property, his right as he pleases.

End of discussion.

Why not calculate it per capita?

When you calculate it per capita, which is what really matter, you will notice that poverty is far less in the SE

They calculated it how they wished to mislead the gullible. Half of Niger state is bigger than the south east. Which means that they having more figures doesn't translate to them being more poor.

The dullards won't reason it that way sha.

I disagree with this report.

Last time I checked, SE plays host to the highest number of billionaires in the world.

Based on ipob bureau of statistics, the SE has 970 billionaires per square centimetre.

You lack sense sha. The stats is per square mile. Meaning that land mass is being used to compute the figure. In case you are too dull to realize, half of Niger state is bigger than the entire south east in land mass. Half o. Not whole. Meaning that south east should come first because it has the least land mass. Not necessarily because it has more poor people.

Borrow sense next time.

I contacted UBA CFC and they asked me to engage them via DM. I engage them and narrated the issue to them and even send them the receipt of the transaction but instead, they told me to contact the sender. I told them that it was a stranger and that his number was no longer reachable but they haven't replied to that yet.
Also, I wasn't trying to impress, my boss was around when the transaction took place and I had been using my account to receive money from customer for him throughout the naira crises when POS were failing and banking services were very poor because he's not a digital person. In fact, none of his account is even enabled to use ussd transaction so he's aware that I have been useful to him in that regard most especially during the naira crisis.
Note: he hasn't asked me to pay him back or even frown at me over this issue. I just feel that guilt that my account was involved and the goods worth almost 200k just lost in this manner. Perhaps if we didn't opt to try the transfer option, the customer would simply left and those items will remain the way they were. But God knows best, this isn't the first time I have used my account to receive money for him. I even opened an OPAY account which is linked to phone number to receive alerts for all transactions

Engage UBA fraud team then. Explain the issue and request they assist recover the funds.

Sometimes I wonder if our society prioritize the idea of curbing digital and financial crime or they actually create an enabling environment to abet such crimes.
Amidst this naira scarcity which still persist to some extent in various areas, it will be an understatement to say that our banking system failed woefully if we're to judge by their performance throughout the naira crisis till date.
I wish to bring to everyone's attention that the United Bank for Africa (UBA) is more of a criminal organization that one has to be careful with while dealing with their customers because there's a high chance of one getting into trouble due to the lapses from their back-end.
UBA bank is one of the banks which a successful mobile transfer from their customers can easily be reversed to the customer after business has been transacted and the customer is gone.

My experience
I was at our shop when a customer came in to make some purchase of goods to the tone of almost 200,000. He tried to pay with card but the machine couldn't read his card so we opted for the option of transfer which he did using the UBA mobile App in his phone. I saw him did the transaction and he it was successful. I waited for the alert to drop after a few minutes but it didn't. I now asked him to share the receipt of the transaction with me but he suggested I should just snap it from his screen since his colleagues were already calling on him which I did. I snapped the receipt containing the transaction reference, sender's name, recipient account number and bank, name of sender and date then we exchanged contact which I dialed the number to be sure that the number was active and inside his phone. After checking my account with my first mobile app severally and not seeing the money, I now decided to send 1,000 naira from my OPAY account to my First bank account to see if that will trigger both alert to drop but still, I also didn't get the alert for the 1,000 I did so I symply assumed First bank was probably having credit alerts issues so I was calm and didn't bother to disturb him only for me to hear my phone ringing and it was the customer calling, I picked the call and he told me that the money had been reversed to him and that boosted my confidence somehow so I imagined he couldn't have been a fraudster then I asked if I should send another account number and he agreed then I sent my fidelity bank account. Then I started calling him to confirm if he had received the message but he didn't pick. I kept calling at intervals for six times and later sent him a text then he called me back telling me that he had seen the account I sent that his mobile app was just having network issues that I shouldn't worry.
Then when we were about to close, I decided to ask him about it again but his line was no longer reachable and his call was already forwarded to a non existence number. Till this moment, I haven't been able reach the customer neither did he call me.
Thanks to UBA bank who will reverse a successful mobile transfer to their customer after business must have been transacted.
If I hadn't had this experience with my kid sister who owns a UBA bank and did a 10k transfer to me which showed successful and she was debited but which was later reversed to her, I would have assumed that the customer must have used a cloned mobile app to defraud me but no, that is how UBA operates. They can reverse a money transfer to their customers after it shows successful with transaction receipt generated.
I'm just down right now, don't know what to do cos I don't have such amount of money to repay my boss.

This is what happens when you are eager to sell market to please your boss. You should have insisted on card transaction via the POS.

The money isn't gone. I believe the screenshot you took had the user details. Send a mail to UBA CFC center and state the issue. Your proof is the debit and reversal the person got.

An average Nigerian is a thief looking for who to steal from. Make them freeze the person account. Rubbish.

Right from introduction, the very moment her father ask her, do you know this young man and his intentions and she concur, a lady already knows she is married.

It's not rocket science. I believe you have at least 10 female friends. Ask them the question in a true of false answer narrative and come back with the summary of their responses.

You will be amazed.
Romance / Re: Help, My 3months Marriage Is In Danger, Should I Confront Her? by intruder15(m): 6:58pm On Apr 16, 2023
Bekeey:
Good morning my people, please pardon my grammatical errors and long writeups. I'm curiously in need of your help to help me decide if I should confront her or not. This is the problem, traditionally I got married to my wife this January 2023 and by grace of God our wedding is coming this July 2023, our IV is already out, we have got 45% of the Wedding needs already, like Asobi clothes, her own clothes and my clothes too, we have also booked for Decorations, DJ, MC etc.

So, here is the issue that I need to confront her or probably council the Wedding because since I got noticed what has been going in my absent, I wasn't myself for past 3days, I am emotionally exhausted. Here is the problem, there is thus guy that always call her late in the night from 10pm, whenever I asked her who was that, she always tell me is just a friend that they have known right from secondary school, that she knows her girlfriend that nothing is between them. I asked her,did he know that you are married, she said of cause, he is aware. I said OK, that day passed, so the call kept coming same time 10pm but not everyday. Later I began to notice that the guy doesn't call in the night again maybe because she have asked her not to call her by that time again. So 3days ago, I had access with her phone, my brothers and sisters, I was shocked, behold the person that told me she has nothing to do with him that is just a friend. All there conversation in that chat was sweetie, sweetie, that's what they call each other. Though, I found out my wife doesn't give him that chance that she's only interested to eat his money because I saw a receipt of 20k he sent to my wife. The guy was seriously asking for her nude videos which she didn't send to her but she instead sent him stickers. The guy will send her some videos showing her how he will sock her breast, and one hot round of sex, my wife will just replied him OK. Last chat my wife chatted him was where she is begging him for 50 to 100k to pay back by June. She don't have anything doing, I wonder where she will get the money to pay him back. Till now the guy have not replied him. I can say she has not started cheating on me because, she just relocated from Awka to Abuja where I leave and she doesn't know anywhere yet. She is always at home. So where I'm confused now is, is she sending him her nude and delete it at instant or she is just playing ▶️the guy? Even at that, as a married woman 👩did she suppose to engage in such conversation with a man? And she is already pregnant, 16weeks pregnant precisely.

Please house, what should I do in this situation, should I confront her or to keep monitoring her but the fact is, it still disturbs me why my wife a married woman should be having such discussions with a man.

Remove the notion that she is married to you even though you have done trad. Most ladies don't see themselves married until they have done their white wedding.

There is really nothing to talk about as you didn't see anything incriminating from her. When your girl is chatting with a guy, ignore what the guy says to her and read only her responses. That should guide if you should be worried or not.

There is nothing you had stated earlier that warrants you to be scared or confront her. When you are done with your white wedding, you can then change it for her if such conversation exist afterwards.

Let's see a 2nd female after Etiaba in Anambra, and a first elected female in Nigerian history.

No matter how corrupt some women are, let's be frank with ourselves, they are better at leadership, starting from the home, where they are mothers to their husbands. Women who are corrupt exist, but their statistics are not even up to half of male politicians.

Etiaba did remarkably well just under less than 3 months then, flagging off quite a number of projects. She conducted scholarship exams all throughout Anambra then to get the best, who would be funded at the tertiary levels.
