/ First thing first, before shipping any consignment, one should ensure that the fund for clearing it is available.
People do this all the time. They ship goods and have no concrete contingent plan to clear the goods. In some cases where the containers are consolidated, some will not come up with their clearance fund thereby incurring demurrage on goods that otherwise should have been cleared in a few days.
The people that are highly connected and profit from the stupidity of such importers usually pray for such amateurs to ship their goods. \ |

Cannonleo: bro they are two ways to the coin.....u have a point defense chiefs has been too lazy and money conscious for the pass 2 decades.. however i have access to the battle space...the issue of proper equipment is now a mantra used by cowards in the army to evade combat...in the days of the jtf..have armor was not deployed to the NE yet insurgents were driven out off maiduguri and saw hell until they changed tactics...if there was no proper equipment BH wont be interested in fielding stolen NA weapons and lotting armories.the fact is that mistakes were made in the start of this war..majority of those mistakes have been corrected. mind u i lost a relative in combat(KIA) so i know what i am saying. much as i would want discipline to take is rightful direction on this case i would prefare that PRIvates and lance coporals be either jailed or retried..commisioned officers however should face the bullet.....it was an oath they took when joining the army...this war has shown that the military is no big joke..many people i know who had monetary ambitions while trying to join the army have dropped that ambitions after seeing that court martials can take place and hold it judgement..it is complex but one thing must be done...discipline must be preserved shekina / Invalid argument!
People who signed up to join the military are contracted to defend the country against external aggression.
They did not sign up for Kami Kaze missions.
You cannot go to war with your two hands tied behind your back due to the omission (or corruption) of the high echelon of the military.
The military is quick to condemn them but not quick to condemn the pot-bellied kleptomaniac generals in Abuja.
Every good outcome usually follows appropriate and mapped out algorithm.
Issues about Nigeria should never be judged in the real sense of it. It should be judged based on the peculiar environment people have to operate. \ |

babyosisi: You won't see them back here People like carefreewannabe ,invertedhammer ,Phoinix and their co travelers who started their show of shame from the old thread to discourage people .They have slithered off like serpents and probably mad that the completion was a success. Let this be a a lesson to the young people reading When you have a plan,a dream,a goal, don't let anyone stop or discourage you Those who want to discourage you sometimes will put up a big fight, but you should stay focused but be mindful that when you refuse to be moved, they often get angry and intensify their efforts and when you remain resolute, they always walk away in shame.
This may look like a simple thing but it has a great lesson It reminds me of the story in Nehemiah about sanbalat and Tobiah When the children of Israel were rebuilding the wall, they were making fun of them and their efforts, they critised them, criticized the quality of their work and when they people persisted, the Bible says the men got enraged and co-haters joined them in droves and they began to threaten violence but the Israelites used a strategy, they appointed watchmen over the workers, some of the workers became watchmen with arms and others worked. It did not deter them. A parallel of this happened here. That is a good story for anyone who needs courage to silence the voice of negative people. Many of them are motivated by envy. / Babyosisi & Babymama:
You are full of yourself. Aren't you?
This competition was masked as a $100 Xmas gift which I pointed out that it is fallacious.

Then you would pick one of the suckers and bless him/her with $100. I cried foul.
People saw the impropriety of your request, they added more money and modified the requirements.
Most importantly, they termed it what it is--a competition! And not a Christmas gift.
Moving on...
Now that you have solved the world's problems with your $100, get a rest.
I am beginning to believe that this has nothing to do with the competition.

The problem now is nigeria foreign exchange reserves is dwindling rapidly. The russian case is different from nigeria case. Russia is under us and eu sanctions which has made it difficult for russia to access badly needed funds but nigeria isn't under sanctions. The problem nigeria is facing is as a result of reskless spending. / You are right. I was thinking of temporary fix without thinking about the other side of the divide. Thanks for pointing that out. The US dollar index is very high now which means every other currency is currently losing value against USD. CBN can just let the market reset itself or keep flushing money down the drain via intervention. It is a double whammy. Low crude price and diminished naira value are sucker punches to Nigeria. This is going to be painful when the tickle down effects start manifesting. No more time for forming. At the current rate, if they relax Western union and Moneygram payout to be in foreign currency, we will flood Nigeria with foreign currencies. This singular act will reduce pressure from CBN because all their interventions will never work (ask Russia).

ken2020: my life is just in a big mess right now and I just can't find a reason to continue living. After my Nysc , life was so miserable for me due to my jobless state. Out of the love my parents have for me , they sacrificed all their life savings to help me start a business, they believed so much in me that was why they sacrificed all their savings despite the fact that I still have sibbling who also need money. They were hoping that I will be successful in the business and so help my younger ones. I just can't believe that am bankrupt in just 6 months of starting my business. since I started my business it has always been from one misfortune to the other. finally i got duped by some fraudsters who I believe used some charms on me to collect everything I have , they made me sell my shop and all my few properties. Before I could come back to my senses, they were no were to be found. I deeply depressed , right now, am homeless but the worst part is that my family is not, aware of this situation. They still think am doing fine in business and I just can't face them when I go home this Xmas. I have been thinking of a way out of this situation but still, I can't come up with anything, I have offered my kidney for sale butup till now no buyer has indicated his /her interest. Right now am in serious debt and my debtors are just on my neck everyday..The shame is just too much for me to bear. I have already made up my mind to commit suicide if I don't get a buyer for my kidney before the 27th of December. I just pray my parents will find a place in dia heart to forgive me. / My friend you don't have any problem(s).
Take a walk into any teaching hospital in Nigeria and see the patients there.
There are some of them that pray to God to be as you are right now.
You will never see life the same way after the experience.
You are crying that you have no shoes until you see someone with no legs who is enjoying life.
Take note.
But if suicide is your only option, go for it.

Tumbling oil could take thousands of jobs with it
NEW YORK (CNNMoney)
The oil price crash could take thousands of good-paying jobs with it in America and around the world.
Bad news already started to flow this week: Halliburton (HAL) affirmed that it plans to cut 1,000 positions due to the depressed oil market, and BP (BP) announced an unspecified number of layoffs as part of a $1 billion restructuring plan.
More cuts are almost certainly on their way.
//
If you work for oil companies in Nigeria, brace up. The only thing constant is change. Companies have to protect their bottomlines. Your jobs may disappear soon if the slide in crude price persists.

How to perfect yahoo yahoo in an imperfect world
Yahooism is a word that has come to stay and unfortunately the perpetrators see novices who are not versed in the technical know how of OBT (obtaining by trick) A master at yahooism must be gifted and equal to the task ,in order words ,he or she must know how to outsmart the mugu without being magar-ed. There are different ventures one can undertake and diversification is the operational word. You spread your tentacles like the biblical casting your bread upon the waters, you never know which one will bring in the desired result.
Methods
1. Send out letters which must be written by professional writers and edited to check for spelling errors and geographical truths in the claimed location.
2. Sender's name must make sense, names like Nnamdi Abdullahi or Gloria Smith make no sense and appear fake and must be avoided.Do not,I repeat,do not send pictures of yourself in stupid positions to your intended mugu, you will become an object of ridicule in the www.
here comes the most interesting part
3. As the letters go out into the inboxes,a proper businessman doesn't fold his hands awaiting the returns ,he ventures into other things and the easiest I would describe here.Open a church.yes a " spirit filled church".Find a catchy name like " Church in the Now" or " His abiding presence" or " Open heavens" Something really trendy and totally posh. Then as the GO you must fit the part and it starts with the right looks.Find a stylist and revamp your wardrobe immediately. Lose any tinge of native accent in your tongue and throw in a wanna here and a gonna there and speak americanaish. To learn this watch JIm Iyke movies for 10 straight days, you will get it . Before you launch the inaugural service, find at least 15 beautiful light skinned girls with impeccable smiles,a male worship leader that could pass for a GQ model ,a master guitarist,a skilled drummer and a fine keyboardist,a set of good microphones and top quality musical instruments with the right percussion ,the Church is born. In less than 6 months you will have more tithes and offerings than you can count. / Congratulation!
Score: 7/10

Tearg1: This question has been in my heart all year long, it seems like different girls like different things in a guy. Some are interested in his wallet, like I once experienced and some are actually seeking genuine men.
In any relationship, I believe personality matters alot, especially that of a guy.. Some of my friends are always wary of ladies who try to take advantage of them because of their "cool and calm" personality. Like I once witnessed, a close friend of mine whom I cant mention his name on here, took a lady to a top restaurant in Lagos and she tried ordering 2 bottles of Moet, and my friend felt embarassed.
He walked away after the meal, paid for the entire dinner and deleted the lady's number from his cell phone.... \ Who knows what women want? On the side story: It is your friend's fault. Next time, tell him to feel the lady up before taking her out. If she sounds materialistic, ask her the craziest thing she'd ever done on a date. And a typical woman, she will ask you too. Tell her that you took a lady out once who ordered expensive items on the menu and how you disappeared to avoid paying. She will get the clue. It is either she goes on a date with you or not. After all, she is not doing you any favour by dating you. It should be mutual. BTW, how did your friend stay there and allowed her to order 2 bottles of Moet? He has serious problems. /
|
