GMB may not have a magic wand. But his fate would have been sealed if a supposedly younger, more educated fellow didn't turn out to be the biggest disgrace of the century. The fact that people are willing to give GMB a chance is an indictment of GEJ. GEJ and GMB are products of the so called educationally-challenged areas. And to that effect and on the real sense of it, they are both illiterates.

His cluelessness knows no boundary that he is the first president to be referred to as "some guy named Goodluck Jonathan" by a US Sen. McCain. One can only imagine the kind of dinner jokes they are using him for. And like it has been noted, "respect is earned".

GEJ makes mockery of education.

Buhari did not cut short democracy.

Buhari cut short lootocracy dressed as democracy.

When you see democracy, you will know.

He might have done some things wrong but all the campaigns against him are being funded by the looters who want to protect their loots.

THANK YOU!!! You've said it all.

Ladies and gentlemen, GEJ was no fool when he brought in the likes of Prof. Nnaji and the current Power Minister, or when NOI, current Coordinating Minister of Finance and the Economy made Power it's priority in its first few years of administration. Thanks to GEJ:

1) Old power stations were fixed and expanded.
2) New power stations were commissioned and brought online
3) Issue of adequate gas supply to these power stations (gas-powered) was tackled via the GAS REVOLUTION that saw the construction of thousands of miles of gas pipelines across the nation from sources to destinations. At a point, it was no surprise that Nigeria can no longer meet its obligations to its West African clients as it re - routed it's gas to its power stations as it made the power sector it's priority. That was NEVER done by past administrations, GMB ' S inclusive.
4) Our transmission grid has been drastically expanded and modernised with new lines and new substations constructed and commissioned.
5) Same transmission coy managing the grid has been outsourced to Manitoba Power, a reputable Canadian utility firm. Again no surprise there as our original grid was built earlier on by a Canadian firm too.
6) Distribution wise, we've seen the massive distribution of step - down transformers and full implementation of prepaid meters. As a matter of fact, on taking office for the very first time, the current Power Minister, Prof Nebo, he instructed the full release of power transformers hoarded by the now defunct PHCN.

Overall, the strategy adopted has worked. Power generated, previously hovering a bit over 1,000MW during past administrations, has exceeded 4,000MW (except for current drop to 3900+MW, no thanks to sabotaged gas pipelines). Nigerians now enjoy more hours of light compared to yesteryear. As a matter of fact, I can confidently tell you that I personally enjoyed 22 hrs of light all year round at Jalingo, and over 10 hrs of light at Uyo, a dramatic improvement compared to previous years. Business - wise, I've seen a considerable drop in diesel (AGO) consumption at my family owned business from N600, 000.00+/month to a bit over N200 , 000. 00/month.

The system is still not perfect, but GEJ has definitely impressed me.
/
All these analysis just to justify darkness in Nigeria?

I am sure you have no clue about what you said

Invest where you live. The ones in Nigeria will continue to entice you to come snd invest in Nigeria because they stand to gain from it. Otherwise they will not bother you. As for your kids, take them to Nigeria 10x in a year, it will still not make them move to Nigeria. Some of us that grew up a little bit in Nigeria can hardly stand Nigeria talk of full bred nominal Nigerians.
You investment will be more secured outside Nigeria. I have tried both worlds and I still better knowing that I have more control over what is not in Nigeria. 1. Just before election, he will start working on projects that Ibos have an emotional attachment to.

2. Ibos will go crazy and start saying that GEJ is their Jesus on earth

3. They vote for him en masse

4. He wins the election

5. A committee will be set up to review the contractual and budgetary implications of the project. After 9 months , the outcome will be to go to the national assembly for legislative authorisation for more funding. This will take about 2 and a half years

6. Number 5 will take a total of 3 years and 3 months- next election cycle starts and promises start again.

Why is anyone not asking why progress has been very slow. They are not exactly building a city on water

Family › Re: 6 Ways To Avoid Marrying The Wrong Person by InvertedHammer: 4:14am On Jan 15, 2015
lilmaxfidel:
There is a right way and a wrong way to get to know someone for marriage.  The wrong way is to get caught up in the excitement and nuance of a budding relationship and in the process completely forget to ask the critical questions that help determine compatibility.

so based on my observations, here are seven ways to avoid marrying the wrong partner.

Do Not Marry Potential
Oftentimes men consider marrying a woman hoping she never changes while a woman considers marrying a man she hopes she can change.  This is the wrong approach on both accounts.  Don’t assume that you can change a person after you’re married to them or that they will reach their potential.  There is no guarantee, after all, that those changes will be for the better. In fact, it’s often for the worse. If you can’t accept someone or imagine living with them as they are then don’t marry them.  These differences can include a number of things such as ideological or practical differences in religion, habits, hygiene, communication skills, etc.

Choose Character over Chemistry

While chemistry and attraction are no doubt important, character precedes them both. A famous quote follows, “Chemistry ignites the fire, but character keeps it burning.” The idea of falling “in love” should never be the sole reason for marrying someone; it is very easy to confuse infatuation and lust for love.  The most important character traits to look for include humility, kindness, responsibility, & happiness.

Avoid Pre-Marital Sexual/Physical Activity

Recognize that there is incredible wisdom in why God has ordered us to refrain from intimacy before marriage; they are to prevent great harms as well as to keep sacred what is the most blessed part of a relationship between a man and a woman.
Aside from the obvious spiritual consequences, when a relationship gets physical before its time, important issues like character, life philosophy, and compatibility go to the wayside. Consequently, everything is romanticized and it becomes difficult to even remember the important issues let alone talk about them.

Avoid Lack of Emotional Connection

There are four questions that you must answer YES to; Do I respect and admire this person?  What specifically do I respect and admire about this person?
Do I trust this person?  Can I rely on them?  Do I trust their judgment?  Do I trust their word? Can I believe what they say?
Do I feel Safe?  Do I feel emotionally safe with this person?  Can I be vulnerable?  Can I be myself?  Can I be open?  Can I express myself?
Do I feel calm and at peace with this person?

If the answer is “I don’t know, I’m not sure, etc.” keep evaluating until you know for sure and truly understand how you feel. If you don’t feel safe now, you won’t feel safe when you are married.  If you don’t trust now, this won’t change when you are married!

Pay Attention to Your Own Emotional Anxiety

Choosing someone you don’t feel safe with emotionally is not a good recipe for a long-lasting and loving marriage.  Feeling emotionally safe is the foundation of a strong and healthy marriage.  When you don’t feel safe, you can’t express your feelings and opinions.  Learn how to identify whether you are in an abusive relationship.  If you feel you always have to monitor what you say, if you are with someone and you feel you can’t really express yourself and are always walking on eggshells, then it’s very likely you are in an abusive relationship which is potentially leading to a wrong marriage in all standards.

Beware of Lack of Openness In Your Partner
Many couples make the mistake of not putting everything on the table for discussion from the onset.  Ask yourself, “What do I need to know to be absolutely certain I want to marry this person?” “What bothers me about this person or the relationship?”  It’s very important to identify what’s bothering you, things that concern you, and things you are afraid to bring up for discussion. Then you must have an honest discussion about them. This is a great way to test the strength of your relationship. Bringing up issues when there’s conflict is a great opportunity to really evaluate how well you communicate, negotiate, and work together as a team.  When people get into power struggles and blame each other, it’s an indication they don’t work well as a team.  Also important is being vulnerable around each other. Ask deep questions of each other and see how your partner responds.  How do they handle it?  Are they defensive?  Do they attack?  Do they withdraw?  Do they get annoyed?  Do they blame you?  Do they ignore it?  Do they hide or rationalize it?  [/b]Don’t just listen to what they say but watch for how they say it!

[i]With all this put into considerations, you could really head to a successful marriage

We know all these already.

Do you know how to differentiate between "packaged" and real deal?

Now that's the one I am interested in learning not the obvious things.

Honestly, no one knows their spouse until they live together for some years which is why people pray for divine guidance instead of checking a list of shallow characteristics/traits.

The version I heard was that India had 22 players. 11 in the field and invisible 11 in the air. A ball that should have been a header would be fired mid air by the invisible players into the post and instead of a football, Nigerian keeper was seeing seven palm heads.

And whoever told the story always insisted that his grandpa was live in the arena and witnessed it.

It is similar to the story about "mammy water" aka mermaid making life unbearable for the engineers when River Niger bridge was being constructed. Zik had to play "dare" with mammy water. Zik enter a bottle as a fly and came out and dared mammy water to try it. Mammy water flew into the bottle snd Zik corked the bottled so fast that mammy water was trapped. Voila! That was how they were able to build the bridge unhindered.

\
Politics › Re: Obasanjo To Jonathan: It Is Too Late To Support You by InvertedHammer: 8:02am On Jan 14, 2015
Flets:
FIVE Reasons to Vote GEJ

1) Consolidate on the agricultural policy - If all we can achieve in the next 4 years is feed ourselves alone without significant import, it would be equivalent to 31 trillion naira per annum assuming 500 naira per day for 170 million Nigerians for 365 days. That is a massive market with mighty potentials for wealth to average Nigerians and significant employment.

2) Sustain the automobile policies - With five car assembly plants nearing completion as at Dec 2014 and another 10 targeting completion by Dec 2015. We can commence and sustain car assembly. By 2017, the car manufacturers will commence manufacturing of the spare parts in-country. and with the re-invigoration within the power sector and ajaokuta steel plant, this industry will be the soul of manufacturing in the whole of Africa. Nigeria will become a car export country for the region in the next 5 to 6 years

3) Ensure continuity on power roadmap en-route constant power - Nigeria is few years to constant power, with lots of power plants nearing completion already, the ongoing gas assembly plant in Delta state, the ongoing investment by the private investors and the bids in hand for foreign competitors that will be introduced in 2016 .... we cannot afford to distort any of these ongoing plans. The story about constant power will soon be history

4) Ensure true democracy is further entrenched into our society. 4 more years of freedom of speech/ information and free/ fair elections will deepen our democracy for better years. Autocracy, intimidation, press bondage and unfair elections will be alien to us come 2019. And any government afterwards can only continue or better the process because the foundations would have fully solidified

5) Ensure that our infrastructures get the desired attention including our roads, railways, airports etc and sustained for the long term. Ensure that the oil and gas sector is deregulated through removal of subsidy to allow private sector participation with the consequent emergence of numerous refineries and petrochemical industries. Continue set up of the right institutions to fight corruption like the e-wallet system for fertilizer scam, biometric registration for ghost workers scam, pension reforms for pension scam etc.
/
In other words, you believe that without GEJ, Nigeria will cease to exist. It is the same stories they told during IBB, Abacha and OBJ's continuity efforts.

Nigeria is bigger than one person nonetheless an inept, clueless and naive man grudgingly drafted into politics by his equally myopic, gluttonous and illiterate wife.

If he fails, even his ardent supporters will bare him naked.

They are called AGIP--Any Government In Power for a reason. They have no permanent friends but permanent interests.

So if GEJ loses, we shall witness the mother of all decampment. Think you hate Nigeria politicians now, wait till GMB wins. Even the most faithful of GEJ supporters will curse him in public to curry favour from the new sheriff in town. Do not stick your neck out for any Nigerian politician.
