/ In all honesty, what is the definition of home? Nigeria is more of a house than home. \ |
/ CBN devalues the currency of the greatest place on earth? Not my problem! Una go turn from TANites to Termites. U cannot take your car to a carpenter for a fix. Neither should you hand over your economy to a zoologist to manage. Square peg in a round hole? GEJ till Jesus returns!!! \ \ |
/ Nigerians! Nigerians!! Nigerians!!! Even if Jesus Christ comes down to earth, Nigerians will be the last to know. Day in day out, Nigerians troop to churches calling on God to fight their enemies, to destroy them with fire and bring confusion among them. Here we have a thief calling out fellow thieves...God's confusion at work if you ask me. And instead of cheering him on to take on his fellow looters, Nigerians are lampooning him forgetting that it takes a thief to catch a thief. Only an insider can change Nigeria. God will not come down to do it. OBJ ride on. I listened to the message even though I detest the messenger. / |
/ You will be surprised at how a lady you treat well today may be of immense help to you in future. Trust me. \ |
/ And for those who want to kill themselves on top a bowl of pap(akamu) and custard....good luck! \ |
john403:\ Don't be surprised that someone, somewhere reading this news is still packaging his consignment with the belief that "getting caught" is not his portion. Maybe one babalawo or pastor don rub something for him body under the false promise that he will go "Baba Suwe" in custody. SMH / |
Raiders:/ You are the one missing the concept. USA stopped Nigerians from DV lottery programme. How else can you migrate as immigrant if no one sponsors you or you do not qualify for the investment option? So people who plan on going Houdini will apply for nonimmigrant visa to get in first. After all, no be to give water to monkey wahala dey, na to retrieve the cup. Most of those applicants are on Usain Bolt mode. The "bigger boys" are moving their families out until the election is over while nincompoops are busy shouting APC! PDP! / |
/ Oga Spyder: Put me down for 1 plot pls. \ |
voltron:/. Are you a learner? What do drug lords, fraudsters, mafian bosses and other menace to societies have in common? Answer: They are all great philanthropists. Ask Al Capone, Maddoff, Sandoff, Ajudua, Ibori, Emeka, etc. Emeka must be a good student of history. \ |
FeverRay:/ Nigeria has animal rights law. But na for inside belle. I no blame you. . \ |
/ Take heart guys. When you look back...you will notice that the ones that everyone thought had it in High School turn out to be losers. And the ones least likely to succeed...are the stars. Keep your hustle on. May be one of these kids will grow up to be your Area Manager. \ |
Litmus:/ You need to snap out of your delusion \ |
Na so dem dey talk all these years until Mrs Iweala finally summarised it this year by saying "tighten your belt, austerity measures are coming". Now that other feel good fictitious news are coming, the next announcement from Madam Iweala go be " buy Nigeria must go bag cos you are on your own". I dey hope say the person cooking this numbers go don tire now. I guess she has to justify her salary. / |
\ Fact: GEJ outperformed OBJ. Q.E.D The only thing GEJ lacks is the will (some call it balls) to take decisive action that will stand test of time. I term it lack of self-confidence. It is very apparent that GEJ never in his wildest imagination envisioned to be in the position he is today. He just wanted to be the "side-kick" that enjoys all the fringe benefits without rocking the boat. Thus, he never campaigned for any position. It even appears that he is still in shock to be referred to as "The President" His underlings noticed this a long time ago and are capitalizing on it. / |
/ These things scare the politicians more than ordinary folks. The politicians know that they have no real friends. No gain without pain. That why some say "give me liberty or give me death". But Nigeria is " give me death instead of war". And in an effort to keep war at bay, Nigerians continue to die like ants from man's wickedness to man by preaching elusive peace. So...which is worse? / \ |
deniiQ:If there is anything I have learned having lived in the West for many years, it is that oyibo marketers can sell ice to snowman. Packaging! Packaging!! Packaging!!! That is why people are shocked at how much corporation budget for advertising a product. At the end, they pass the cost to consumers. Anyone that thinks GMO will be marketed as GMO is ignorant of how things work. Until recently, people used to think that the content of processed food is exactly as shown on the label. The food industry for instance, has some technical and legal loopholes they latch on to fulfill the basic disclosure requirements. But if you are in Nigeria and want to believe all these snake oil salesmen, good luck. BTW, someone mentioned that Africa has more disease than the West. The difference is that most disease in the West come from chemical destruction of organs of the body unlike Africa where pathogens reign supreme. / |
/ I foresee a proliferation of cancer in the nearest future. Genetically-modified food masked as "hybrid"? E too sweet na im dey kill pass. \ |
Jim Nwobodo: “My son was ill for five months before I knew about it and we were\ Chicken coming home to roost. Btw, the bolded statement tells all there is to tell as well. Death was already knocking at his doorstep. "We squander health In search of wealth; We scheme and toil, and save, Then squander wealth In search of health; And all we get is the grave; We live and boast of what we own; We die . . . and only get a stone."....Anonymous / |
nationwide1:/ The sad part is that you went to UN Building in NY City to look at the bad/uncompleted part of the building to remind you of Nigeria. It wouldn't hurt as much if you'd looked at the beautiful parts for comparison. SMH. \ |
A beautiful ticket outlet that is... www.nairaland.com/attachments/1876529_112_jpeg27d9d3e33dfc5711ae5a104087ca2ae0 |
/ These artists have run out of ideas. This is a rip off of "Dorobucci" and "Eminado" beats. Flavor had a similar song that was more or less "Dorobucci" in disguise. \ |
frodobee:\ You people sef. All those churches and Christians massacred in the North, who/what failed them? Just say R.I.P to the dead. BTW it is becoming very clear that black people cannot coexist peacefully whether in the developed world or in the jungle. It is very sad. / |
/ My position on Ngozi Iweala remains same--she is a paper tiger and clueless. I have made this position known in some forum like naijaobserver mostly frequented by Nigerian intellectuals such as VC Aluko, and other notable Nigerians from world class universities such as Oxford, Havard, Cambridge, etc. I stated that Okonjo Iweala worked for World Bank where duties and responsibilities are clearly spelt out under the supervision of white overlords. Her job was to follow already laid down protocols and procedures which any reasonable monkey with some training can do. The interview process is just to weed out candidates based on paper qualifications. Now throw the same Okonjo in a crappy economy like Nigeria she has become like a deer caught in headlights. It does not help that she is functioning under the leadership of an inebriated President. \ |
/ First thing first, they need to disband HOR or Senate. The activities of both chambers are redundant not to mention the colossal drain on resources. Then cut back on the bloated salaries and bonuses of the members. Get rid of the duplicate ministries and parastatals. Get rid of the assistants to the special assistants to the assistants to "God knows who". Then when all is said and done...focus on austerity measures. / |
nijanigga:You just chose to waste "name-call" you should have reserved for a better use @oloshi. Who said I cannot use any examples I want? You mentioned CNBC. I drag Cramer name join. Abi CNBC dey for the original post? People who cannot maintain a clear line of argument will always choose name-calling as an easy way out. Thank me later for playing a role your dad should have played in your life. / |
Did the Emergency rule make any difference? NO! GEJ is just hoping for miracles. / |
Nichobabe:\ You think say you dey austerity before? Govt wey no dey pay salaries and gratuities when excess money dey. If this thing happen, u go hear am. No be person wey see fuel go buy? When e hit, APC and PDP will make no difference. Muslim and Christians, North and South. Everybody go know say there is new sheriff in town called poverty. For Okonjo who is always in lala land in denial with her fictitious statistics to finally acknowledge the bumpy road ahead means that extra wahala dey o. The big guns are already dusting their international passports. E-warriors una go hear am. GEJ till Jesus returns! / |
When we called on the leaders to be more proactive, their e-warriors called us unpatriotic. Now the chicken has come home to roost. They are going to extort the "living be-Jesus" out of the already impoverished masses. Nigerians can only learn the hard way. E-warriors una go follow suffer. Those pittance oga dey pay una will not be enough. Hopefully, oil will not stay down for too long or na real gbese. / |
ekemini007:/ Educate yourself on the duties of a President and a Commander-in-Chief pls. A President' job doesn't end in riding a convoy of vehicles, commissioning projects and earmarking N1bn a year for refreshments. / |
Caleboha:It makes sense. That's what I said before....instead of purchasing brand new M-16, etc. They are busy crying over Cobra they cannot afford to maintain ( and by "they" I mean BH b/c the army/Air force will abandon the Cobra for BH at the first sound of gunshots. Kudos to C.JTF. it takes a like-minded people to fight nutcases. They know the terrain better. Also they will be saving their a/sses as well cos BH mows down everything on their path. / |
Osahon7:You ended up agreeing with me. Thanks. @what pays d bills You and I seem to agree that no man will say that his goal in life is to be a nurse. Thus leading up to my irrefutable statement that "condition na im make crayfish bend". / |
nijanigga:/ Like everything else the noise on oil is now too loud. Usually what happens is that individual investors will pile up shorts gunning for $50/b and the price snaps back resulting in Bear trap while demolishing all the stops all the way back. Price forecast is not science. Cramer is known to talk up or down stocks depending on what side of the trade he is in. Just letting u know. Some folks use him as a contrarian indicator. Lol / / |
