If you have oil, why is region finding hard to pay salaries

Don't worry March is not far

Stupod question

There are arms sellers who they can sell oil at $10 a barrel just to buy arms

Even the American black marketers, might take that offer.
/
When ND goes on all out war and economic sabotage of Nigeria, the waterways will be so free for oil transactions with black marketers.

Lol.

GEJ is treating ND militants with kids gloves (just like he does to anything of significant importance) does not mean subsequent leaders will. Asari and Tompolo have tasted life in opulence so much that militancy even by proxy is out of their agenda.

Like empty barrels, they will continue to make some noise to stay relevant. Bait them and give them Orkar treatment, (20+ years in the gulag away from the mansions) and they will sing like birds.

Who are they going to sell the oil to?

Nigeria as a nation cannot even sell her oil.
And you think ragtag militants can?

Especially with oil price going down the toilet.

ND will get to a point when they will have to drink their oil because nobody wants it.

Nigeria was very rotten. Someone noticed the stench and said "enough is enough" that he would provide "Fresh Air" snd was voted in. Instead of fulfilling his promises, he created more mess and looked the other way while the stench prevailed.

Six years later, he is running from pillar to post ashamed of uttering his fresh air slogan because he knows that he is clueless.

In 2011, GEJ had a manifesto. But in 2015, his only plan is to show that the opposition could be worse. What a shame! Collosal waste of goodwill.

Jonathan is never a leader but an ursuper.

Oil producing countries (outside of USA ) are mapping out strategies to cushion the collapse of oil price.

Saudi Arabia has $900bn external reserve and a small population to cushion the effects of loss revenue.

Russians are short of throwing a kitchen sink to sustain their economy.

The President of Venezuela is running from pillar to post in search of solutions.

What is the President of Nigeria doing? No proactive steps except campaigning and hoping to drink his way to oil price
getting back above $100.

Salaries will be paid until after the elections and then the truth will sink in. By then, it will be late for civil servants to
take any action except of course by embarking on strikes, and the cycle continues.

The bane of Africans is the inability to take preemptive actions. They take reactionary approach to issues.

A typical African mentality is that cure is better than prevention. Let it break first, then start running around for solution.

Therefore, Nigerians must move forward now, not backward - as the Dele Momodu's would want it.

A 70+ years old should be able to manage Nigeria ( the greatest economy in Africa) with a meager GDP of $521 billion.

DesChyko:
It is said that one shouldn't criticize the men of God to avoid incurring God's wrath, but Rev. Fr. Mbaka is becoming too radical to be wearing a priest's robe.
Interferring with governance should be a collective decision by Nigerian priests, not a one-man's search for recognition. Why didn't he go for a private session with GEJ all through his tenure? Now, he is campaigning as the elections are close with a method 'as worthless as open letters' instead of focusing on winning souls for God.
To whom more is given, more is expected. Fr. Mbaka is not respecting his title.
/
If only the revered Martin Luther King Jr. as a minister had stayed away from voicing out social injustice in USA and concentrated on only winning souls for God....

I hope you are somewhat intelligent enough to get my drift.

None of you castigating Fr.Mbaka is able to refute his claims by showing us the 2nd Niger bridge, the 4lanes Enugu-Osha expressway, constant power supply, lower unemployment, strong naira, refurbished refineries, reliable internal security.

He is preaching austerity measures while ordering a new private jet and increasing Aso Rock budgetary allocation for food/refreshments from N1b last year to N3b in 2015.

Until you do, I wish God manage your immediate family the way GEJ is managing Nigeria. And since you so much believe in GEJ, it should be a blessing.

Fr. Mbaka said what every SouthEasterner knows but is afraid to voice out. Consider the Enugu-Osha rd, 2nd Niger Bridge, Ebelechukwu angle. Then think about all his promises that he failed to fulfill: Unemployment, Power, Security, Corruption. He lost focus a long time ago even with all the goodwill given to him.

I wholeheartedly agree that it is pointless fighting for the masses because the same hoi polloi you are fighting for will the first to villify a hero.

Let the mal fitted die to make room for the well-adapted. Why even bother crying for social injustice when the folks you are fighting for are a bunch of moronic ingrates?

You talk, you die; you don't talk, you die.

You can give GEJ the next 20 years and he will not do squat. One common denominator is that no one that tasted Aso Rock wants to leave peacefully. The attraction is like heroin. In 2019, GEJ will start looking for a way to stay more.

sibepoc:
I discoverd One of my closest pal whom i had lived with for over two years had sex with my girlfriend in his house. My friend use to have a party on the 1st of January yearly, after the watchnight service we go to his place to catch fun with other invited people. While the party was going on we decided to spice up the party by doing this game we all know as devil's basket, the game fell on my girlfriends turn and a guy was asked to touch three parts in her body of which he touched her bossom, her behind and another part in my presence, my girlfriend got upset and walked into the house(the party was outside the house but in the compound), i was going to stop her and explain that it was only a game that she should come back, she made a scene and got me angry and i shouted on her. She ran in this time around crying and with that act she almost destroyed the mood of everyone at the party. I left her, continued my job at the party(DJ) and my friend went in (he's fond of trying to be a nice guy to her when i make her upset of sumtin) to talk to her or whatever of sort. It was from there it happened, i wouldnt have known if his sister hadn't caught them in the act and told me on 3rd of January. I asked both of them and they didnt deny it. I'm trying to break up with my girlfriend but she's crying all heaven and hell her saying it was little of my fault, that my friend makes her happy when i dont and gives her more attention than I do but that she loves me so much and could die if i leave her. Pls note: My close friend and my girlfriend lives with me which has been since february. So please guys what do i do about this situation?

Politics › Re: Jonathan’s Planned Adoption As Igbo Candidate Divides Ohanaeze by InvertedHammer: 9:05pm On Jan 04, 2015
beopened:
Jonathan’s planned adoption as Igbo candidate divides Ohanaeze

The adoption of Jonathan as the consensus candidate of the Igbo was not on the agenda of the meeting, which held at the apex Igbo socio-political organisation’s secretariat...

A representative of Ndigbo in the Diaspora, Mr. Nwachukwu Anakwenze, had told the meeting that the constitution was amended under the previous administration, extending the tenure to four years.

Anakwenze alleged that those who were challenging the tenure of the executive were hired to cause trouble in Ohanaeze Ndigbo.

The comment apparently irked a former national chairman of the defunct Justice Party, Chief Ralph Obiorah, who immediately walked out of the meeting.

In an encounter with journalists, Obioha maintained that the tenure of the executive had long elapsed, saying those supporting the tenure elongation were persons, who masqueraded under Ohanaeze Ndigbo in the Diaspora’s umbrella, to collect N4m from the N20m released to Ohanaeze Ndigo by Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State.

He noted that it was obvious that some people came to the meeting with a predetermined agenda.

A communiqué released after the meeting however stated that the tenure of the executive was four years.

The communiqué also explained that the motion for the adoption of a presidential candidate was kept in abeyance, until further notice, as the leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo was still consulting.

The communiqué reads, “The amendment of the Constitution of Ohanaeze Ndigbo during the Ime-Obi meetings of August 14, 2010 and October 30, 2010 as well as during the General Assembly meeting of November 6, 2010 as shown in the video tape today is hereby ratified by the Ime-Obi meeting today January 3, 2015, hence the tenure of the office of National and State officers of Ohanaeze Ndigbo remains four years.

As long as Dr.Anakwenze is involved, there has to be some wuruwuru of some kind. The same man that stole the fund contributed by Ansmbrs state Association USA for a medical mission and claimed that he was robbed along Airport road Abuja with no injuries nor witnesses.
After his stint at ASA-USA, he has been forming all kinds of associations that exist only in paper as the president to remain relevant: anambraworld, Igbo World Assembly, ICSA, etc. The charlatan will say anything as long as there is money to be made.

Nigeria graduates are like their counterparts in other countries.
No employee becomes an expert without the requisite experience which is why some firms will let new graduates start off as the "errand person" until he/she gets her legs wet.
The problem is that there are too many graduates pursuing limited positions in Nigeria. And depending on the field, when opportunities exist, nepotism may trump academic performance.
If you are a Southerner and you work in one of the government parastatals, it will break your heart if you see the certificates and academic results of your Northern colleagues from the so-called academic disadvantaged areas. To make it worse, these fellows may end up being the boss. And mediocrity will be recycled.
