My wife was at the salon today where she overheard a conversation between a man and another woman over the phone. The man put the phone on speakers. Here is the story. The woman is pregnant and lives with her husband who is in Sokoto. During the conversation the woman told the man, who happens to be her ex-boyfriend to come over to Sokoto to pay her a visit since her husband was out of the country and that she needed to have him around for a few days but the man refused. He told the woman to come over to Lagos instead because it will be safer as her neighbors might blow the whistle on her. During the course of the conversation, it was revealed that the woman was six months pregnant and she is not sure of who the father of the baby is. They also made fun of the woman's husband that he is just a dumb aboki who married a sharp Lagos girl. The man even went ahead to tell the woman that he hoped the child would look like him instead of the woman's husband. What is your take on this? As for me, although I know there is nothing new under the sun but I was shaken to the core of my being with such brazen display of infidelity. And as a married man the thought of such a possibility made me understand why some men would kill their wives and commit suicide. |
nyameke: I don't think I disrespected your personality per se but I apologize if you feel otherwise..Apology accepted. You won my respect. |
nyameke: I don't think you understand what beimg an alpha male is.. God didn't make others beta and alpha. That's fallacy of the highest order.. being alpha is a way of life to put it simple..Thanks for the lessons in differentiating between an alpha and beta male. It is not a crime not to know a few things but trying to bring down others while correcting them is at best, pathetic. By the way bro, I am sure you go the message I was trying to pass across and that is the issue. I will appreciate it if you could make your rebuttal to my opinion instead of concentrating on mistakes on definition. I believe that my inability to differentiate between the two does not mean I do not have the right to air opinion. |
justwise: Your analogy does not add up, no bank will even take an employer who spent 7yrs on sick leave and came back for just a year to complain that the bank is not doing well. You did not bother to answer the question. Would you stick with Access bank that is not willing to go beyond N5 million if you were the one? After all First bank made the offer of N7 million just the same way United made the offer. The thing is First bank (United) has made the offer and you are saying no bank will make an offer. |
Delafruita: if access bank hadnt picked you from your mediocre status and brought you to the level where first bank saw you worthy, where would you be?especially since access bank kept up your intelligence by sending you on various courses enduring many years of your mediocrity. Please answer the question... Are you saying that you will stick with Access bank at N5 million despite First bank making an offer of N7 million? I sense that is what you are saying. |
I am sorry to say but all these dos and donts are all a waste of time. These kind of things stop you from being yourself. You try to be an alpha male when God made you a beta male. Anyway the Kim Kardashians of this world date alpha males while the Michelle Obamas of this world date beta males. If a woman does not appreciate you for who you are, then move on with your life. Trust me, you will get to meet the woman that appreciates who you are. You cannot just go ahead and change your personality. It doesn't work that way. What works is making yourself a better person, not changing yourself. |
ochukoccna:One question for all these vexing Arsenal fans. Kindly answer. You work in a place like Access bank, a great bank by the way where you earn N4 million/year, where they pay you medical bills free when you are sick. Then First bank comes calling with an offer for N7 million/year plus free medical bill. What will you do? Stick with Access bank that have told you that they cannot go beyond N5 million/year because of certain policies? I want only Arsenal fans to answer this question. The last time I checked, United fans did not cry like babies when C Ronaldo left, Infact they never prayed for injury for him, the just wished him well. |
A lot of people on here don't seem to understand the spirit of Man united. Please check the history books. When one or two strikers get injured some other players step up to the plate. Everyone thought United was down and out when C Ronaldo left and Rooney came firing. When Rooney was out for some months last season Hernandez and Berbatov stepped up to the plate. Anyone ever wondered why Welbeck that struggles to get playing time with United was on the starting XI for the Three Lions ahead of Andy Carol? No need to say more. When United is written off, that is when they kill the game. |
bonysmile: What could possibly be responsible for someone no longer finding his/her spouse or partner attractive?Unfortunately this story is not complete. There is very little that can be done with this level of information. |
snthesis: my bday was ystday, and it dawned on me its time to settle down, get married.Honestly, getting married is not theory and tips. If you are still looking for practical steps in achieving this feat (you call getting married a feat and is in awe of it), you are not yet ready to marry. Take it from a married man. |
Sweetlemon: I'm actually crying right now. Thanks so much sir! It is real men like you that are able to keep and COMMAND the respect of beautiful women. God bless you sir!Thank you and God bless you too. |
bittyend: Are you also Isale_gan?No, I am not Isale_gan. I have only one handle. |
sigmundfreud: NO. Am not trying to make anybody feel smart or dumb...but lets look at it like this.I agree with you sir. |
Hmm... I have followed this war of words and if I may chip in my bit. I am totally with Sweetlemon here. Tagging "most" beautiful ladies as dumb is already setting up a stereotype. When I graduated from medical school, the best graduating student was a hot lady and I mean hot; and she graduated with a distinction. The last person to graduate with a distinction from that school prior to that was 6 years before. Oga Sexkhillz (apologies if I got the spelling wrong), how do you react when Australians and Malaysians tag Nigerians as mostly 419 people or drug dealers? Do you accept that stereotype sitting down or try to let the world know that it is not true. Another example here is my wife who is a perfect combination of beauty and brains. She gets at least three toasters every single day even with wedding ring on her fingers and she is as homely as they come because I can proudly say that I married the best woman in the world. Maybe you should go through some of my posts and you will see the post of a man who is happy with his marital life. Summary: the tag that most beautiful women are dumb because they can open doors with their smile and so on is baseless and dependent on your sentiments and views about life. Until you have carried out research analyzing at least 50 beautiful women, your opinion remains just that, an opinion and not a fact or the truth. For all we know, you may just have the talent of only jamming the beautiful ladies that are dumb. |
This is so interesting. A lot of people here know next to nothing about life. It is so easy to say I'd rather marry a Michelle rather than Kim after the fact. And that is because Michelle is the wife of the most powerful man on earth while Kim is the girlfriend of an artist who I don't like his songs. Truth be told all those people saying they will sleep with Kim and marry Michelle have a mentality that just doesn't work. Barrack met Michelle while they were still in college and for the records it did not look as if Barrack slept around when he was dating Michelle. If Barrack had been sleeping around, Michelle would probably have left him for a more decent man. And if Barrack had been unfaithful Michelle's prayer probably wouldn't have worked. If you want to be a great person focus all your sexual attention at your wife and your wife only and her prayers will work magic on your life. Keep sleeping with Kim, while you are married to Michelle and before you know it Kim will ruin your life and your Michelle will leave you. |
The story is about someone who beat up his mother. Instead of learning lessons, it has degenerated into tribal war. |
Exhilarating |
watch~tower: safeLove: Even though I hate climbing down the stircase in the morning. I love making breakfast for my boo. He enjoys my cooking and I love to watch him eat. So I seize every opportunity I get to feed him. For now he's the only "kid" I have.Out of these two women, we know who a man would rather marry. The contrast is as day and night. @Watchtower, we are taking analgesic for your pain because we know that the family is the smallest unit of the society. We are worried because we certainly wouldn't want our well trained daughters dating your sons that did not learn anything about sacrificing for the family. |
This is unbelievable! I am sure that something has been done about it since the camera caught the boy in the act. I am 100% sure that the boy is from a wretched home where the father treats the his mother like crap and beats her up regularly. The boy has learned very fast. Did anyone notice that the boy was only after baby girls? Hmm, that boys needs a pediatric psychiatrist fast! @OP did this happen in Nigeria? |
pendo89: The problem at times with NL is that people give advice based on the bad experiences only.Wow... sincerely I am surprised at the venom being spewed at ladies below 25. Come on, not all of them are bubble heads and this generalization is sickening. |
Amya: First off, let me start by saying this is a 100% true. If any one knows me on Nl, they'd know I don't make up stories.Amya, this is just to inform you that we are not fools on Nairaland. I hardly ever post but I have to post on this your useless thread. I see a link between this post and a thread you started. Let me refresh your mind... https://www.nairaland.com/809222/fastest-way-reel-guy I find it difficult to believe that it is not this your aunty's husband you were trying to reel in since November last year. Now you have finally reeled him in and you are looking for tips on how to fleece him while playing the victim. Well done, ma. |
I am really worried about the way people are talking on this thread. All those guys castigating the idea and telling us about how corporate entities do it abroad. Please spare me, jare. Unemployment rate in that abroad is rising and I won't be surprised if one day this small business ventures grows to the point that those human beings castigating the idea come and drop their CV to work with the business venture they want to use their mouths (and keyboards) to kill. I am all for the growth of the Nigerian GDP, anyway it can as long as you are not doing anything illegal. We need more people like these who would build more companies that will be listed on our Nigerian Stock Exchange so that all those doubting Thomases can come and rush the shares. |
LOL. I guess for as long as D'banj keeps singing about bosoms and bums, he will make heaven if he does not join illuminati. ![]() |
razzberry2: pls tell us,who runs d world? No mind am. I have enough respect for women. They have changed the course of this world in different ways right from when Eve ate the apple and offered some to Adam. Or is it Cleopatra that caused the downfall of Julius Ceaser? Helen of Troy that caused the annihilation of a whole city? Joan of Arc that turned around the French history? Or is it our own Patience Jonathan that has enough bombs in her vocabulary to kill the president and cause a second Nigerian civil war? Abeg, women run the world jare. |
kalufelix: Al d ladies are acceptin veez silly statements as if it does add anytin 2 d fact dat dey ar women...same old sh1t we hear errday.Whatever. |
LaughterNoon: I wonder what is DEADLY about these terms rather @OP the heading should have been "5 SILLY TERMS USED BY WOMEN"Fine. |
Metalgoong: Who cares !WOW! |
mbatuku2: Everybody is AA in my family, and I dont intend introducing AS, talk less of SS, in our genes. I missed a very gorgeous chick because of this. I knew it was harsh, but no AS kids for me. AS is as bad as SS to me.Good for you. You are probably going to miss many more gorgeous chicks... to keep your family bloodline clean. |
Alfoasegh: Watch it man, most female SS are usually prone to crisis during pregnancies. I lost a female colleague who was SS and pregnant some years back during a crisis.Well maternal mortality rate in Nigeria is over 800/100000 pregnancies and one of the highest in the world. I bet not all of them have the SS genotype. I know a friend who is SS and she has two children already and they are doing very very well. |
We all see the way the miracle and signs and wonder churches are filled to the brim every Sunday. It is in the nature of Nigerians to look for quick fixes without the hard work. A lot of Nigerians have a sense of entitlement and the mantra of the average Nigerian is ise kekere, owo nla (means small work, big money). You see the symptoms all around you, everywhere you go. People pray, go for job interviews then end up doing the job shabbily with poor customer service. This gets worsened by miracle testimonies of people who sit down at home and then someone brought money for them out of nowhere; they then go to church and give testimonies and the Pastor (mini-gods) tell them if they pray the same miracle will happen if they bring half of their salaries to support the prayer. |
watergate: I and my wife are expecting our first child(a boy) in a week or two..... So much for an expectant family, we really can't wait and i must confess, i have got an invaluable information here to help my wife through the early periods of our babys' development. One funny thjng though, haven't decided on a name to call him.....lol.Don't worry, you will be fine. I had no clue what to name my daughter until the night of the naming ceremony. ![]() |
