Politics › Re: #OccupyLekkiTollGate: Nigerians To Protest Over Reopening Of Lekki Tollgate by iswallker(m): 4:14pm On Feb 08, 2021 |
LegendHero: So if the soldiers shoot at computer village or the Seaport, the next thing is for these places to be shut down and destroyed?
Many of you guys don’t even give a bleep about the victims but you just want it shut for few reasons:
1. People don’t want to pay tolls again because we have been wired to think the government can provide everything so we should use it for free instead.
2. The people that think Tinubu owns it, they want it shut down to get back at Tinubu and have a bragging right.
3. Those celebrity that want to trend again with this.
4. People that are really concerned (unfortunately they are few).
One funny thing is that people are passing the tollgate currently and the only difference is that toll fees are not being paid. So I really don’t understand how people could disrespect the ‘dead’ and keep driving through the place if that’s the narrative they are pushing. Is there a detour through ya compound - maybe we can shut the road permanently and pass that side |

Romance › Re: The Silhouette Challenge And The Unnecessary Hype by iswallker(m): 5:39pm On Feb 02, 2021 |
Kalatium: I disagree with you.
There is no over hype of the Silhouette Challenge. People are just stating the facts.
In future other depraving things will come and we will still talk about it.
While i understand the side you are coming from, it does not mean we should keep quiet about it.
Is just like saying the issue of indecent dressing is being over hyped. And we should worry about other important issues.
Does that mean we should do away with morality? Morality don't increase GDP of a county or reduce unemployment Why re you running to the most "immoral" country in the world to seek greener pastures The guy is right - try right articles about level of decaydence and corruption in govt not to talk of tribalism and nepoticm - maybe we might leave a country for the coming generations we fear for. *write |

BigSarah: Which of the presidency is this ? Is it garba shehu faction or femi adesina?
MODIFIED Garba isn’t concerned about the crimes of these herders but rather the ethnic coloration given, that’s rather insensitive. Herdsmen have been on rampage for 5yrs their ethnicity is not a secret. But the generalization is a bit unfair not all herders are criminals. They all are - I have exepepeinced it - they have a sence of ownership of Land that does not belong to them - they destroyed barriers to gain entrance into a farm - simply because they traversed that terrain in the years before the farm came into existence. They are always armed - with poisened knives and sharpened cutlasses. They display animalistic tendencies. They point at another ethnicity - §the bororo - as being the culprits - but they are actually the ones that perpetrate the crime. |

plaindealer: This is what I don't get about the so called Nigerian youths and the lost, destructive, lawless and misguided Sorosoke loudmouths, they lied and spread dangerous fake news and propaganda that destroyed Lagos state, destroyed jobs, destroyed businesses and decimated the IGR base while demanding a better country when in fact they are the most destructive and lawless people in Nigeria.
Now we have lawless mentality youths and hypocrites rioting and demanding a better country, but simple laws and reflections of a better, sane and orderly society they can not obey, abide by or even support.
People don't drive against traffic in sane and orderly societies not only because they know that it's very dangerous and deadly, but also against the law and it comes with serious repercussions. The remedy can't be selling the cars off to their cronies - knowing fully well that we live in a country where nothing is transparent. |

ebenezer202l: thanks for your prompt response. She resides in Akwa ibom while the PTAD office is at Abuja, her pension managers are at Calabar and I doubt they will verify her again, so which means she needs to be on her way to Abuja. So I sent a message to PTAD and they replied me that there are ways to conduct a mobile verification exercise for those pensioners that are too frail and weak. So they gave me an email address for that And I sent them. I don't know how long it'll take them to respond. Do you know if it works? cc labiola Considering covid - online verification is a possibility - follow the lead of PTAD. |
