Your first point suggest IN A relationship but your arguments vehemently oppose a girl of different religion being IN A relationship with a boy of another religion which means that your points are outside the basis of BEING IN A RELATIONSHIP.
To fall in love is different from to be in a relationship. To be in a relationship means that the two parties must have seen their differences and still finds it convenient to relate with each other knowing the other party as a faithful follower of his/her religion would not fail to adhere to the basic tenets of his religion which is love.

Religion is the lifeblood of most communities in the world. 80% of the world's population believes in one deity or another, the other 20% are shared unevenly between those who strongly do not believe in the existence of a deity and those who do care whether there is a deity or not.

For people who belong to the 80%, religion dictates their way of life, social responsibility and even self esteem .

Relationship on the other hand is established when two people have a natural affections towards each other and declare same to each other.

For every responsible man/woman that wants to go into a committed, quality relationship, among the main qualities they expect in their potential partner is to be 'God-fearing' . This denotes a state of acknowledging God and His laws and principles and making a deliberate effort to subject oneself under these principles in all aspects of one's life .
What brings us into the realisation of these laws and principles is Religion.

A romantic relationship is strengthen when the two parties gets to know each other very well and getting to know each other well means that there must be some form of 'reference point' which subtly dictates the expectations and responsibilities of both parties to a quality relationship.

Religion enhances (makes better) relationship in that both parties having earlier submitted themselves to a certain set of rules and principles , knows what is expected of them and their duties and responsibilities to each other .

That is what people mean when they say they are looking for a God-fearing partner because it is only in this context that a partner would ravished in the love of his/her religious (God-fearing) partner knowing that the same set of principles that binds them in love would also keep them from going after strange people , fighting and abusing each other, lying, betrayal, stealing and other vices that should not be associated with responsible God-fearing religious couple thereby enhancing the trust for each other and making a better relationship

While acknowledging the existence of other 'Point of Reference' on which some relationships stands, the most formidable, dependable and trustworthy 'Point of Reference' , tested and working over the years is religion.

If people do turn to religion to seek help and establish their businesses, finances, careers, academics and even political lives, why would they not do same to enhance their relationship.
