My father taught me to be industrious and hardworking.

He never had a male child, so he trained all six girls to be goal getters and independent quite early in life.

He taught us self-discipline and resillience in the face of hardship. So when actual hardship came knocking, we were able to scale through without fainting for the short period it lasted.

He taught me to be prudent.

Lastly, he taught me how to fry stew very well.
