slimghost:Akande didn't spare anyone he knew of their success or failure. However, illiterates prefers to speculate rather than read. |
Mr. Bode, please deal with the facts and not emotions. The age of covering for lies is over. This is the first book I have read by a Nigerian politician who didn't spare his friends and foes. He didn't hold back at all. |
harqinhola: harqinhola: harqinhola:You haven't changed at all. Easily distracted from the main issue. |
donpapa:Stop lying. Several months backlogged salaries and arrears are still unpaid. |
omoolokunEsin:Good for you. You chose to read rather than throw tantrums based on excerpts. |
Flyingngel:Can you list the lies or you have comprehension problems? |
Adebowale89:Dumb kid referring to his grandfather's mate as an idiot. Akande is not a man that pretends, he says it as it is. If you are that pained, go and use the Lagoon. |
Oyinlola spent 6 years in power with higher allocations with nothing to show for it. He won an election and discovered some funds were mismanaged. What did he do? He made noise about corruption and then set the suspects free after some people allegedly intervened. Akande is a prudent manager who knows the dangers of an overbloated civil service. The result of reversing his policies is still lingering over the state as the government is still owing workers several months in salaries and arrears. |
Adebanjo is overreacting. The book has been published already. |
chiefobdk2:You need to go back to school. The reviewer never said such even indirectly. |
Where is the fraud allegation in that review? The reviewer is disappointed that a chronicle was written like a chronicle. |
Magnoliaa:You got it all wrong. You are essentially promoting harassment. Even if we accept your logic, Kemi is not a suspect, witness, informant or stakeholder. Outside the school, the students, the parents and the suspects, involving unwilling third parties is pure harassment. Also, even if sources cannot be revealed, CAN EVIDENCES NOT be revealed as well? What has this got to do with Kemi? Or is Kemi the evidence that need to be revealed? When did investigative journalism become posting a bunch of words on the internet and just leaving it at that and expecting people to swallow it hook, line and sinker? The constitution did not mention "investigative journalism", in fact such title is meaningless as far as the constitution is concerned. The constitution expressly protects Nigerians from being harassed. Even if Kemi is a road side hawker, neither police nor Falana have the rights to harass her for her view. |
I said something similar that it is illegal to invite Kemi because she ha no case to answer. But I got attacked by ignorant and emotional posters who wants Kemi to be crucified for daring to state her position. It is a shame that Falana has chosen to destroy his assumed moral standing because of money. |
He can cry but he would never condemn ElRufai or Buhari for not taking drastic measures. Despite insecurity, all northern governors and legislators are still opposed to state police and still support open grazing. |
ReeLoaDead:It is not about will. Try to get direct information if you know anyone in the theatre of war. Boko haram are still very much powerful because they have much larger numbers and have effective winning strategies. Remember what happened close to 2015 elections? Jonathan had to hire external fighters when he realized too late that the army lack the capacity to fight. Unfortunately, Buhari is too dumb to see the clear picture and he disbanded the mercs. It is sad and frustrating. All the fault lies with the government and top military brass. You are right about this, the government and military chiefs are clueless. The enemy has far greater number of fighters and better tactics than our armed forces. Gone are the days when they run on approach of the military, now they are the one taking the battle to military posts and camps instead of the other way around. |
Bobloco:They are waiting probably because they have no solutions too. An army running away and abandoning their weapons at the sight of Boko haram is nothing to be proud of. |
Grandmeister:You are wrong, the military can easily win any conventional war. But neither Bandits nor Boko haram are fighting conventional war. |
But you guys claimed, they are not ESN. Confused lot. |
Laggafin:Picking him up will have no effect on banditry. It will only make a mockery of the government which will look stupid clueless for arresting a man who has not committed a crime according to our law. Even in cases where the leadership of terror organization is clear such as Boko haram and Alqaeda, the death or arrest of the leaders didn't weaken the group. |
newbornmacho:Who released you from psycho ward? |
omoharry:I am just describing the reality here. Any protest need serious funding. Forget the ENDSARS protest and how it was funded. How were protest done in the past..we had more courageous men with burning fire to effect than what we have today ? It's not about money but the will to carry out this protest . With a crowed funding of N100 each from every willing volunteers, they should be able to get more than they bargained for . If people know that there is going to be a protest that cab force the fed govt to attend to the insecurity that is presently affecting every one, I don't think raising money through crowed funding should be a problem.what is needed is a courageous & a charismatic person that can coordinate Thier protest peacefully...and force the govt to attend to the terrible security situation in the north .You seem to think protest will have immediate effect on insecurity. It won't. Asking the government to exercise its power such as in the case of EndSars or subsidy protest is quite different. There is no off and on switch for insecurity. When a core tribalist like Buhari's can't even protect his close clans in his village from violence, that should give you a hint of what is happening. OBJ said it better few days ago. Buhari has nothing more to offer. The situation is beyond his capability. So people have to buckle their belt as the insecurity issue rages on or prepare for a marathon protest into 2023. |
Moferere:Sponsoring large protest is not cheap without funds from moneybags. An organic protest will not work for sentimental reasons. |
KoshCAD:Don't be gullible. It is the usual protest organizers that are issuing statements. If you happen to live in the north, please stay away from such gathering for your own good because we don't want to hear how southern protesters are locked up while their northern counterpart freed. |
Maxymilliano:Buhari packed head of departments in civil service as well as some southern politician and threw them into jail for alleged corruption which were not defined. It is not a surprise they were all released when power changed hands. |
fluffybaby:You and Kemi are ignorant. Paying tax is the duty of all income earners and not journalist alone. It is not the duty of the police to investigate tax issues. We have FIRS and SIRS for that. There is no formal qualification or legal papers for being a journalist unlike say doctor. Kemi is ignorant because she thinks she is protected because she is a journalist. She is actually protected as a citizen of Nigeria from being harassed. You and Falana should stop supporting illegality. |
joyandfaith:Any human right lawyer who defends a Nepa certificate holder is dubious and lack integrity. There is no doubt that Buhari lacks the qualification to contest. |
bencr7:Stop saying what you don't know. The US police do not invite strangers to an ongoing investigation. If they need to talk someone who may be involved they will ask for the person's permission which can be refused. In fact, no citizen is required to talk to the police whether they are suspect or not! In the case someone is involved in a crime and there is evidence for it, the police will go to court to get a warrant of arrest. Falana is supporting illegal police action against an innocent person. |
Oloniyan:Why do you guys love oppression so much only to start crying when you become a victim? Please list the crimes Kemi has committed so far on this case that warrants her losing her freedom. |
ChiefSosa:Even in Nigeria, criminals don't announce the dates of their operation. Not even Boko haram with all the weapons in their possession does. I suppose you are referring to some letters written by armed robbers to some communities. No specific date nor time nor location are indicated on those letters. Even if they do, criminals haven't been known to be truthful and such information are likely a diversion. Let us even assume you are a top police chief and decided to mobilise hundreds of policemen to wait for them. What stop the robbers from moving to another community for the time being and come back to their original target after the police have chased a ghost for a week or two and look stupid as no one shows up? In the case of protest, it is widely broadcasted. The organizers identity, location and the exact time is widely disseminated to attract as much participant as possible. Even in many cases, the organizers informs the police their movement on the day. There is zero basis for comparison. |
Golan007:MTN have been operating in several countries before getting their license. This Mafab has no experience with communication, has no real plan and have no business bidding for 5G license. The government just created another middle man to milk the telecommunication sector without offering any value. |
Mafab shouldn't even be in the race. They have created another avenue for racketeering. |
ChiefSosa:Criminals obviously don't invite outsiders nor publish the date of their operations. |
