socialmediaman:Why would you post this unless you made it yourself. What is progress, what was being measured? |
Prime4life:It is selfish not to tell others about the dangers out there. |
Praxis758:The joke is on you. If the order is unconstitutional, it will be quashed by a higher court, if not then it means the local government always has such power but didn't exercise it. BTW, how many restructuring motions has your rep and senator moved in the house? You may not even know their names! |
candygist:Did anybody arrest Mailafia, Soyombo or the leader of northern protesters for speaking? No. They were "invited" for discussion. You are just a dunce. |
vedaxcool:It is time you quit telling these lies or bring him to book. OBJ must be a magician to have generated and spent several years budget within a short time without borrowing. |
Temi2468:You don't know what you are talking about. Criminals aren't arrested for opinions but for real crimes they commit. This may be strange to you given the country you live in. Airing your opinion is different from making an affirmative statement. Let the person who made the conclusion be investigated since she knows the facts.Opinion and affirmative statement is one and the same in this case. Let Falana sue if he thinks Kemi defamed his client just as expected of normal law abiding citizens. Instead he prefers to use his influence to incarcerate Kemi based on his clients wishes. He is just outed himself as a pretentious character with zero principles regarding the issue of police excesses that he regularly comments on. May be truth may be revealed. There is no "truth" in law. There are facts, evidence and speculations. |
Yahoo boys have started paying for PR. |
Most of our generals are clueless. The result speak for themselve. |
StreetFight:Don't say what you don't know. Sheriff is a political moneybag even before his foray into politics. |
PaChukwudi44:Dollars and more dollars. |
cedricksly:Insensitive, stupid or foolishness is not a crime! If you believe they should be crime, petition your lawmaker about it but first think deep about the future consequence for yourself. Just a little over a year ago, some people shut down various part of the country supposedly over police harassment and illegal actions. One of their patrons is publicly encouraging illegal police harassment against a non-criminal purportedly over hurt feelings. We have warped value systems as nobody seems to care about principles, only gains. |
What is Falana turning into? He is asking the police to arrest Kemi for airing her opinion. He would have been shouting oppression and due process if a politician did the same. Hypocrite. |
Redcrafton:Only one of those can even be considered a Yoruba "leader". I don't expect you, an Ipob member to understand neither does your pretentious concern make any sense. |
Our leaders are.. My bad, every government official is into bribery and extortion. Some of these evil workers even earn more annually than high skilled employees. |
jrusky:It shows you don't understand the military despite your claimed background and you are likely one of the gullible ones who believed a general can easily solve security issues in 2015. What is so sad is that you have still not recovered from the delusion that a general will be better in handling security issues. It is one thing to be harassing people on the road, it is entirely a different when faced with tenacious enemies with equal arms. Wasn't a general recently killed in an attack? Everyone is a bloody civilian until they own a gun. BTW, the so-called rank and stars are mostly gotten as political rewards. Pls if you are apc don't reply or quote me again pls I just beg you. Thanks. What does this even mean? SMH |
NigeriaIsGreat:There is no country where kidnappers don't operate and some regions are better than the other, that is a fact. Using an 18 year old who is eloping with a boyfriend is rather poor example of insecurity when the government's insecurity failures abound. |
jrusky:What is so special about an army General? |
Are the civilian spies the ones who gave Intel on when to attack baracks, where the armory is?Intel? When a facility is overrun, it doesn't take a genius to ransack the place and loot valuables. Even ordinary unarmed rioters looted AK-47s during the endsars riot. Was is civilians that gave Intel on the NDA attack?Intel again? NDA is a school and not a defense post. People are allowed to freely walk in and out the institution the last time I checked. There is nothing special in kidnapping students from a school that is open to the public. Drones, both weaponized and spy drones, there are so many high caliber long range weapons that would give the military an upper hand.I see you are shying away from listing the "so many high caliber long range weapons". There is a difference between upper hand and victory. America had more drones than they needed in Afghanistan, it gave them upper hand but they still fled at last. Then they didn't do enough, there is no limit to what can be done. There is always a limit. Anyone who tells you otherwise is lying. You are twisting history, it is alleged the Talibans bombed the world trade center on 911,The bold is completely false. Nobody has ever accused the Taliban of carrying out 9/11. You seem to be unfamiliar with the topic being discussed. America took the war beyond their shores to their stronghold and country, Afghanistan, toppled their govt and put in place a civilian govt with full American supportAll you described above are so fantasies. If toppling a government is so big of a deal, America will have indisputable power. You don't even need boots on ground to topple governments. Despite the "full American support", top US politicians only visited Afghanistan unannounced because of fear of attack. Today, there is a government in Borno, but a person would have to be reckless to take safety for granted. and only decided to pull out due to the high cost involved after almost 10 years.Pull out is the same thing as accepting defeat. Nobody pulls out while winning! I am not asking the Nigerian govt or military to go to Afghanistan, I am saying they should make Nigeria so hot for them, they won't even consider staying in Niger or Chad.Again, you are misreading the issue. The location is immaterial. Same defeat awaits an army who refuse to think beyond weapons or continue to ignore the troops incompetence. |
Shaky story with little details. She was likely "kidnapped" by an online boyfriend. |
Emergingnation1:Independence and secession are different. You need to read more. |
This is a foreign territory under France but the posters above don't understand this simple fact. |
My DM is literally FULLLL of people that have had similar experiences in LASUTH – how is it still running. This girl can't understand a simple issue. LASUTH is still running because it continues to deliver value to patients. LASUTH like other teaching hospitals takes a significant number of referrals from other medical facilities. Many of these patients usually have complicated issues and life-threatening emergencies with poor prognosis unlike normal patients in regular hospitals. When Ms Fapson discovers an hospital where people don't die, she should let us know. |
1Sharon:Why are you arguing blindly against facts? White people are very simple.Very simple indeed. ![]() What does that even mean? I know you admire the angelic whites, but stop feeling inferior to them. They are humans like you with similar makeup, dreams and flaws. |
1Sharon:It is clear enough with three zeroes. An average British person spends about 16,000 pounds on their wedding. This British-based couple are being vilified for spending their own money. |
Let us see. This policy could be disastrous for some tenants. Most Lagosians do not hold regular income job. |
dododawa1:Stop living in dreamland of socialists. There are no low cost houses, someone else is paying the cost. |
DriverX:And so what? I see you are into cars. Why don't the fear of a car breaking down after purchase scare you away from it? |
Eriokanmi:Stop illogical comparisons. An average British wedding costs about 16,000 pounds which is more than this couple have spent. Even at that, nobody is under any obligation to copy others . |
MrHyde:Their major funding comes from tax and kidnapping similar to the Taliban. Who would you prosecute in these cases? 2. Investigate to find out spys in the military and prosecute themThis will have little to no effect. The "spies" that make a difference are civilians. 3. Purchase enough weapons to go after themWhat kind of weapons do you think will make a difference? 4. Plant moles to get as much informationThe military already did. But this is real life and not movies. Basically, with intelligence and strong will, terrorism can be conquered.I suppose the Americans were too incompetent to follow this blueprint in Afghanistan? They can be defeated but it takes more than conventional thinking to defeated terrorist groups. |
knowhowk:Have the Nigerian army exhausted its own weapons? No. Some newly bought MWRAPs, Hilux and battle tanks were recently seized by Boko haram. What Weapons do they use to Fight the Nigerian army to get those Weapons from them ?Knives, Machete, local guns and low calibre fireams, that is what Boko haram started with. In fact, an average armed robbery group was better armed than Boko haram in the beginning until they started raiding police stations and army posts to seize weapons. The same soldiers who fled and abandoned their weapons would turn around to complain of lack of weapons and lazy journalists wouldn't bother questioning their claims. If you still don't get it, go and do your research and come back with a list or even just 1 special weapon that Boko haram uses that the army does not posses. |
knowhowk:It is a political lie that Boko haram have better weapons, they don't. In fact, almost all their weapons were seized from the Nigerian army. |
