Ivynwa 08:16:42 AM Viewing nwadelta's profile.
What's the essence of shouting to the world whose profile I viewed dearie??
Dude had a thread on wanting to leave his white wife to try out black chics and I checked it out to see whether he has acted against our advice and done his wish.
https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-534600.0.html
There's no need for you to play detective on me, is there?
Now let's leave the thread for our sister to get more advice and consolation from good NLs. May the new year be good for you and us all.
Family › Re: My Husband Is Proposing To My Younger Sister Because by Ivynwa(f): 8:00am On Dec 27, 2010
Oh dear, why is he giving up on you having a child or is there a little known problem on your part that has prevented you from making a baby?? If not has it ever occured to you two that he may have a lil problem like low spermatozoa count etc and need to be checked out too for any anomaly to be corrected.
I am sure you are aware of this but in case you are not: Are you sure you two are are trying out for a baby at the perfect time in your cycle which is the ovulation period? I have heard a married woman who didn't know the right time to try out for a child until she got told by a doctor. This thread below is about a couple that was finding it difficult to make a baby until they took the good advice of Nairalanders which is basically good timing.

https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-147141.32.html

I truly feel for your plight and wonders how you must be feeling now, it's going to be alright okay Baby. Try calming your husband with much love so that you two can try all available option to succeed (if you have more options remaining). If he is insisting on marrying somebody else he shouldn't be unfeeling enough to have you choose for him and what is your sister doing in that picture? Doesn't she feel your pain? Let her know how much you hurt and that you need her to be loyal to you as a family now and not consent to your husband should he approach her.

Who is that Nigerian singer that sang a song about how she became pregnant years into her marriage and just at the throes of the painful period that her husband was about to marry another woman? May God help you as he helped her. Amen

Hey people, sorry about this but too much profanity is beginning to go on here and I have called on the moderator to come and close this thread which was intended for just fun and plain chat up but is being turned into a garbage bin of profanity. Thanks for coming by here to contribute, Merry Xmas and a good new year to you and yours!

Merry Xmas and Happy new year to you Mukina and all in this thread.
Mukina this is to beg that you close this thread of mine below please

https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-570836.160.html

My reason for wanting it closed is that it's no more serving its purpose for people to chat and have fun, some individuals are busy there using profane and the dirtiest words of the earth on themselves. A certain unbelievably married woman is running amok therein cursing people in an unheard of manner. I'd rather the thread be closed so that I don't lose my cool on her not that she has any respect remaining as she has sold all of them. Right now she is vomitting things on other people(not even me) on that thread but it's getting to me and some others that a human being can look down on her fellow beings like she does. Just help me close that thread please.

Mr. ghotee you seem very unhappy in your marriage, from your past posts in NL you are not happy that your wife cannot really work a job or show much responsibility at business either, it got compounded by the MIL side of it.  You have really been weighed down by these problems, they are no easy problem for a young man as in having to fend for a family and stuff. It is good that the MIL's part of the problem is being solved, you and your wife need counselling and good communication between the two of you. Have you ever let her know how much you hate that she can't handle business? If you haven't, do let her know she might put more effort into it. You two need to seriously discuss that issue, she need to get her striving spirit on so that she can handle stuffs and be able to take care of her children wherever the wind blows. They did say that no condition is permanent.

Politics › Re: Explosions Rock Jos At Christmas: 20 Killed by Ivynwa(f): 5:40am On Dec 26, 2010
Do you actually mean that moslems bombed churches in Nigeria on Xmas day? Is that really true??
If that is true then Nigeria should hurry up and divide up so that the moslems can do their religion in their own country? How long will people be getting killed in the name of religion and we all write it in the newspaper, talk about it, point fingers and wave it aside. I have had enough of it and hope you have.ENOUGH IS ENOUGH PEOPLE.
Politics › Re: Nigeria Needs To Split Urgently! by Ivynwa(f): 4:56am On Dec 26, 2010
@poster
Glad to see somebody thinking almost exactly the way I do. Life will be better and development will be faster for us all if we split up, we are too large to handle. Zoning to me is child's play, it is the direct synonym of tribalism. Divided into smaller 5 or 6 nations, resources and amenities can get to reach people. I pray they realize that before that zoning thing causes a big problem. Let us not be negative anyway because I detest bloodshed in the name of politics and the struggle for power.

ROSSIKE:
My experience as a Nigerian dealing with foreigners has almost never involved any perceived negative prejudice coming from them on account of news headlines or stories of Nigerian fraud, crime etc.
Some of you who do not interact regularly with foreigners as Nigerians tend to exaggerate those supposedly ''widespread negative perceptions'' about Nigerians.
If you DID mix with people, you'd find that 99% are actually more interested in the positives of the country than the negatives you assume they are all thinking and talking about.
The other day I was in Jamaica, and 99.9% of the people I interacted with were full of respect for my Nigerian nationality. And I mean PALPABLE respect. I wouldn't discount the influence of Nollywood on this, by the way. Over there, almost every home has at least 20 Nollywood films. I know some people there who hold thousands of Nollywood films in their collection. All foreigners with a bit of brains and exposure KNOW that Nigeria is FAR FAR MORE than the parochial media stereotype.
R-E-P-R-E-S-E-N-T-I-N-G!! Rossike give me some high five there.
Infact let me give you this West Indies song below as a little gift

@Poster
Please note that we are not supporting that you bring in relatives to live with you and your wife endlessly, it can get uncomfortable and make marriages hard through loss of privacy and other interventions, so avoid that too.

If the issue is strictly that of the maid of the house, that attitude of chasing out maid after maid does not tell well of a wife, those maids are the children of other people. If she take them like hers there shouldn't be much problem between them.
Family › Re: Forcing My Mother-in-law To Leave My Home by Ivynwa(f): 3:12pm On Dec 22, 2010
Sometimes a problem cannot be solved by adding more problem to it as he is being adviced to bring in his own band of relatives. It is true this method worked brilliantly for Brai777 but that does not mean that it will work for this poster as his wife and MIL are too colluded together for that besides the part that he is not from the same ethnic group as they are seems to be making him unwary of the steps to take that can be mistaken in the culture of his spouse and her family.
What is the main reason why MIL is in the house? Is she sick and is being taken care of by your wife as in some cases that are understandable,if she is and you are still uncomfy with her presence, you can help make arrangement and give financial support for her to be taken care of by your wife's relative outside your home. If she is not sick and have no purpose of staying on for years like that then Christbenogor's advice is a good one, some uncles and elders of both families should be invited over and the matter discussed.

Poster you know the same set of people you paid her bride price to, when you meet them support your claim by asking them whether you paid the brideprice for your MIL too? That it is only your wife you humbly asked them to let you marry. That should help you defeat them hands down sweetie, please go home and make yourself comfortable Ojare, you did not commit any crime in getting married for you to run away from your cosy house.
So na all these wahala people dey see for marriage sef, abeg make I follow dey enjoy myself-o now abeg wetin!
Family › Re: Her Attitudes To My Relatives by Ivynwa(f): 5:59pm On Dec 21, 2010
Let's say that that child is that of you and your wife, I'm sure that you two will be putting heads together to find a solution and teach her to respect people. Should the child be sent away because she belongs to somebody else and you two cannot train that child to do right.
