deedee44: For the first time in my close to 2 years ride sharing career, I snubbed uber and faced taxify ALONE. I must confess I enjoyed it, just 2 days sha, I plan to continue with taxify when I resume work tomorrow to see if I will enjoy it for the rest of the week then it will be bye bye to uber till they remove their stupid 25% commission. How can I do 15 legit trips for 25% and when it was time to enjoy 3% they told me they suspected fraudulent activities. Are they mad? F*ck them for now Yahoo plus |

vicolame: 2k per hour for the first 4 hours, Subsiquent hours can be 1500 per hour. Note that doing per hour you must sound it loud that it's a must the person do the four hours nothing less so the person will not play smart with you. As well going out of state while on this agreement is a separate bergain. Try as much as possible to be flexible when charging offline.
You can stick to a particular rate for each hour instead of having different tarrifs |

franksam2009: sir you are just beating around the bush, contradicting your earliest statement and also not making any sense at all.. Earlier you said no matter how many cars u put in the market it cannot be saturated abi, now u are saying the market is bad because there are less riders So automatically you are implying there are less riders and more drivers which contradicts ur earlier statement. Bottom line is the more cars are pumped into the market, the less request you get, more waiting time, more money/commission for Uber/taxify. Good for riders, good for Uber/bolt , bad for you Okay |

adsmaster: my day one experience.....woke up by 5am did not get a request till pass 8am even after i reposition myself, had to drive from badore to vgc before the first request which the rider cancelled, got the second request after accepting and driving close to his destination, he still cancelled....the thing tire me but i finally got my first request and did it. Rider us going to lekki phase 1...my brothersi wait tire for lekki phase 1. Had to move to eko hotel there i gor a request as i was speaking with the rider, he too cancelled... I stay there tire then move to ikoyi there i got a trip to osbourne estata...i wait tire again till i take break, but am back out again in eko hotel been waiting since 4pm no request......
I beg your all should tutor a newbie here biko...naaa 1500 man done make since morning...but am not discourage i know its a learning phase...
What do you advice i do? How do i position? Addo road is usually a good place for request during early mornings. It was just a bad day
As for Ikoyi, try Dolphin although it's usually flooded. But if you know your way around, you could beat the floods
You'll be fine.. Just make sure you target residential areas at mornings, residential/offices at noon and offices at evenings
if you aren't around offices at evenings, still hang around residential areas. This advice is for workdays oh
You'll be fine |

pope191: My oga u no go like know wetin deh happen to me, can't complain, yesterday I almost activate war with one rider, today nah rider carry me enter balogun market say make we deh find clothes up and down since 10am, this is d third time I'm doing dis with her, energy drained already, even me get store I pick clothes with pricing, woman, choice and price matter
In as much as I'll like to agree with you view, riders work with flow of money circulation in the economy, while driver work with positioning due to influx of excess car in the system, but as we have always agree that the system will regulate itself. Let's use raining period for example, surge comes up cos much driver went off and don't like Driving in the rain, soh during such period ride is certain at the expense of your car. Lately I realize it will take luck to breakeven once u mis d mornin train (working class), do few trips during the day and position for close hour.
One tin I observe this Sunday on taxify was surge almost everywhere. I totally agree with you. No money, no rider...
But times are changing. Night life is springing up in our cities. Gone are the days when you can't move around once it's midnight. In all, there are good days and bad days
And also positioning matters... Not only about location, but also with time. As a driver, you should know when to rest and come back online. Coming online from 5am to 10pm may not guarantee 20k gross... Just know when to move, stay or rest.
And as for that market wahala, the last time I did it was when I carried an Oba in Lagos and his wife(story for another day).
That's my best trip ever on this platform |

Chuwaa: I disagree, Union Bank also did massive sacking last month as well. Do you know the ripple effect of a loss of one job? One job lost is equivalent to four dependents average. The more the sack the less the money for uber. More danfo will gain, same way mama put will keep making money while Mr Biggs and tantalizers closes shop. I wouldn't use a bank as a yardstick to measure progress in this job. Even if Union bank folds up, it has nothing to do with uber.
Uber is not as expensive as you see it. It is not expensive. A 3km journey is #500. Carry 3 other person with a trunkload of items, it's still #500. What has any job got to do with that?
I can count how many bankers I carry from Monday to Friday(I mean pickup and drop off points). Students, caterers, teachers, civil servants and a whole lot of others use it. Even Ecobanks retrenchment wouldn't even show in uber's earning sheets. One rider goes, another comes
And saying Tantalizers and Mr Biggs will feel it? I don't think so. All these guys need to do make it as affordable as possible. Gone are the days when we see fast foods as luxury. With #500, you'll eat a plate of rice and chicken in Chicken Republic. With #550, you'll have pizza at Dominos. This is something an unemployed person can afford once in a while |

pope191: Izzou for NURTW Chairman, MC Oluomo never know wetin jam em
But we cant take away the fact that more drivers, more waiting time to get trip. Imagine where u have 3 cars and 6 riders, surge loading. But where u have 10 cars and 2 riders, nah gisting sure pass (Chevron drive). Las las we go deh aiit Of course...
There's more waiting time now, not because of more drivers, but because there are less riders. The riders determine whether this business will last or not
Let's not also forget that in transportation, we have peak periods and off peak periods. Not just for uber, but all areas. If you go to most bus stops now, fares have dropped because there are less passengers. Come back by 4pm and the whole thing changes. It's still the same with our job
Any driver that finds himself is VI by 4 to 5pm is likely to get a trip out, unless he limits himself with destinations
To me sha, we should be clamouring for more riders. The more people are aware of the app and it's affordability, the more we have trips. We cannot limit the number of cars that will enter the platform. We cant
How your side Pope? |

xana101: I saw Eco bank staff protesting at Amadu Bello way. It was a massive sack in d back. Soon Majority of them will ask “how do I become an Uber/taxify driver” most of us that lost our very good jobs and later become Uber/taxify driver need to save very good money and start a better business cos very soon this driving biz will be Over saturated that u can’t make 5k daily. As long as there are riders, it can never be over saturated
Count how many danfos you see on the road. Yet they still make a living from it despite the government buses competing with them
Count the okadas, kekes and the rest...
As long as there are riders, if you like put 500 corollas, it will still contain them all
The period you're going to bed or resting, someone else is trying to get a ride, and someone is going to pick them up
The transport sector is very massive. |

Eberejesus111: This just shows that the government needs to come in and boost the capital in this sector to make it beautiful, because with this our designers can come in and make good sketches that these inventors can work on.
Did you know when ford made his car initially, it wasn't beautiful. It was just an engine stacked with wood and iron. Making it look skeleton like. But as time went on, designers came in and made it what it is being suitable for Every generation.
These people are just inventors, they know little about designing. It's the designers job to make it beautiful and suitable for the public. God bless you. |

ifyalways: 3 bedroom flat for husband(sick) , non working wife and two kids. None of you or people close to you adviced you guys to subtly sublet out one or two of the rooms for atleast 100K each to help offset the bill?
You got some cash, instead of trading on things like foodstuff(daily sales gauranteed) you went to sale clothes?
Bad decisions all through.
Going forward, ask your family and relatives for help and look for a mini flat(one bedroom). It must not be within your immediate locality .Maybe Agboju area. 100K at most for total package and start your lives afresh . If that one no work maybe it's time to relocate to the village and re-strategize.
The landlord sef go don suffer. One year or more rent lost, plus money spent in court. Why did he need court order to get you guys out? Strong head on top another man house.

How many churches even remember to pray for the release of Leah? How many? The only people who pray for that girl is her parents. The rest of us are praying for "Dominion", "Greatness" and all that stuff.
The Christians in this country don't have a voice. Thats just the truth. As long as it doesn't affect "our member", it's none of our business. To every member, his church is the most powerful and it is only "his daddy" that God speaks to
