northbird: OK. Boss. But then, its a fluid situation out there sometimes, you lose your guard, if there are areas you know. Please, post the ones you know. @ least having a foreknowledge of wat to expect minimises the chances of being extorted. Yaba Lagos Island Victoria Island
These ones have enough one-ways
Others are Somolu, some parts of Ilupeju, Oshodi, Ikoyi and I think Ikeja
But as for Yaba and Lagos island, be very very careful. VI can be better. People around will just advise you, and you hardly see council jumping up and down there
Better still, if you aren't sure if somewhere is one-way, looked at how the cars are parked, or simply ASK THE PEOPLE AROUND |

falcon01: haba Alhajai Akanbi, 20k daily? e no ring bell for you? You should have asked for ID card and ask your friends to snap all their ID cards till you come back safely. Someone charters a cab from Apapa to Ikorodu for a whole day and 20k is too much for that?

pocohantas: Yes, it could be very tedious. The bureaucracy in our civil service is a major bottleneck. We are not there yet.
I hope she finally got the funds? Oh she did
I laugh when people say banks and other institutions will try to frustrate you so you can't access the deceased entitlements
Just get all the required documents and be patient....

pocohantas: I like to think partnership is more about the deed legally binding the partners. It is also errorneous to think that every partner must participate in the work or share in the assets/liabilities of the business.
There are different types of partners, depending on the level of their participation or liability in the business. Really? What then makes him/her a partner?
I still understand you though |

shollywendy1: Izzou, sorry i have to disagree wit u on this. When i was working in a company(name witheld). A particular logistics company supplies us with vehicles(staff buses) and our company remit monthly to the logistics company. The question is; Do we call that relationship between my company and d logistics company a partnership or employer-employee? If i walked in to izzou auto and logistics to rent car for a purpose. Irrespective of what my purpose is on d said rented car whether uber, taxify or personal use. The relationship between me and mr izzou auto and logistics is partnership. He did not employ me. Does it mean that the logistics company employed my company for supplying them staff buses? Just my opinion I actually see it from this view.
I was just looking at the investment itself... The driver brings the expertise while the car owner brings the rest. E get as I take see am sha |

deedee44: But we're talking about drivers having accidents here. Anyone could die truly, but anyone who drives long hours every day is exposed to more risk of death. It shall not be our portion in jesus name insha allah I totally understand

pharod: I will use the analogy of the food canteen and 2 cooks to answer this question. What they bring to the table is expertise. Cooking for the public is not something u can just stand up and start doing. They go to school and pay to learn. Likewise drivers, they learn how to drive and bring that expertise with them. If you remove the 2 cooks, your food canteen will just be a shop with chairs and tables. Of course, U can decide to cook the food yourself but if u can handle it, you wouldn't have thought about involving anybody else. Secondly, driving is considerably more dangerous than cooking. Apart from expertise, drivers put their lives on the line every day just to meet that target. And the owner of the car will be in the safe confines of his home waiting for his weekly cashout. If there's damage to the car, it can be repaired. What if there's damage to the driver's legs in an accident or worse, his life?? So if he shop gets burnt one day, what do the two ladies get to lose? Absolutely nothing. We can talk about expertise, but the investment is the car. What is the driver bringing into it?.... Maybe HP would have looked more like a partnership sha... Maybe

deedee44: ]1. You set up a rental business and I came to rent your car, I am not your employee but a business partner, abi you will give me employment letter? and pay salary whether there's sales or not
2. "I see uber guys get serious accidents, and I ask myself...."What's the fate of the car owner" Why not also ask what's the fate of the driver? (If he dies or gets handicapped) and the fate of the family that depends on him And if something goes wrong, what part does the driver play as a partner? Someone here talked about collecting a car on 25k rental, and the same car owner will service and repair..... And you still see it as a partnership?
As for issues concerning death, anyone could die. Because I drive doesn't mean I will die through driving. My point was in the case of losing the investment(the car), who bears the brunt? Who loses? |
