Why not give it to him? He pays 35k weekly. Give him at 30k. It could go a long way in encouraging him.
I really like the guy's zeal and wish I could motivate him too |

jesusson2020: To be honest, Uber pay better than bank job.
Is better I drive Uber than work in a factory.
One of my co worker who previously worked in a factory, has inform his formal colleagues, to go learn how to drive. If you say Uber is slavery, then factory work will be what?
Meanwhile I have a full day rest yesterday, after doing offline to akure go and come.
I have already remit my 35k weekly rent this morning. Whatever I make from today to Sunday will be in my pocket.
Don't allow those saying Uber is slavery drag you back, go out there and start making money. Thanks for the info
Let me tell my friends in the banking sector to resign immediately |

pope191: I'm exhausted, like sleeping for the rest of the week... Yesterday I was joking in my mind like this work don tire me, my ears are not mine again, things girl's says on phone to question they ask "how do I smell? Does it look like I've smoked? Smell it" Frown face* what's my own now... Can make one have tummy upset.
After a good outing yesterday, around 10pm, got a trip going to ikeja from VGC, happy me, prayer got answered. Just few miles 2 approach 3MB, I don't know what punched my tyres (few weeks old), came down to check, need to change tyre. Open boot, no air in spare tire, had to manage and destroy the tyre to Yaba to have it fix. I woke this morning to realised spare is bad, had to get another tyre, spending around 6k. Head on to Ikorodu this morning, notice steering got hard to turn around the road that leads to Ijede, serpentine belt slipt into 2 (one of the Boris in pulley), had to fix that, buy new belt, spending close to 14k today
It is well.... Profit of 2days gone in a day, it ain't easy, tomorrow is another day So sorry brah....Its just a bad day you had
How did you manage the situation with the rider? |

The earlier we realize that this gridlock can never ever leave that road, the better...
The answer is simple: Corruption
These tankers pay to park on that expressway. Nigerian Army, Navy, LASTMA, FRSC, NSCDC, Nupeng union and the rest are all stationed there extorting these guys in the name of "controlling traffic"
How come these tankers disappear whenever Buhari is around? It means something can be done, but as usual, the government doesnt care

Epphy: How much were you expecting? You paid toll huh. You should always expect to have #200-300 less on long distance trips on #taxify. Them sabi scam drivers That brings me to the next question
You take a rider to Lekki for example You pay the #200 toll....
When you end the trip, you see #2000 including toll
Why should your earnings be #2000 instead of #1800..?.

Tyche: You are right. But the truth is that the profit margin is not what it used to be and is dwindling, as compared to his other lines of business. Moreso, FMN has flour as it's core business and is always upping the game while Dangote and their likes are playing catch up.
He's never going to sell his cement business, he's currently dominating it, and will do so for the foreseeable future. The companies that tried challenging that dominance, including FMN, have since moved on.
Truth is, if a mechanic, or any mechanic for that matter, not necessarily Gazzuzz, will abandon ehailing, then we need to take note.
Ride-sharing has seen it's Glory days of renting but it's long past. There's still money if you follow the business model; driving yourself. You need to spend one night at Admiralty road, Eko hotel or Allen and see a handful of drivers that see this business as a gold mine.
You're looking at it from Gazzuzz angle. Why not look at it from Dru's angle too? He said its working for him. Or you don't believe that too? Find your strategy and build your structure.
And I will tell any partner: Any vehicle you put on e-Hailings will die. Don't expect to use it for e-Hailings and expect it to be the same of close to its former self after 3 years
|

Tyche: You are being overly emotional chief.
Let's look at it objectively, Gazzuzz is a mechanic, he knows all the long and short cut to maintaining a vehicle, sourcing spares, etc.
If he can leave the biz, it speaks volumes of the business.
Honestly, except you are driving yourself, it's easier for the camel to pass through the eyes of the needle than for you to break even the way the business is going these days. It does not speak volume of anything sir
Dangote is planning to sell his flour mill doesnt mean the business is not profitable. Other flour mills are doing well
Yes, the business is tough now. Only die hard drivers can afford to save after rentals. But it still boils down to having your own structure and strategy. Dru found his, and it's working for him
I don't make as much as that jesus guy makes because I still have other plans, and I dedicate time and days for other plans too. It brings me money or information too
Everyone has his own reasons for driving a car in this business
Uber is just a means to an end for me. It's not an end in itself |

Megadrop: Riders are now becoming smarter since drivers are refusing to do short trips. As I was driving out of VGC I got a request from a lady who said she ws at Dmatel hotel by Askamaya and she's going to Ikoyi. I was happy cos she wasn't going towards Ajah cos of the mega chicken traffic. As we hit the express babe made what I suspected to be a fake call and thereafter told me that she wasn't going to Ikoyi anymore that she's gonna change destination to Mega chicken. I gats quickly do a u turn and face mega chicken. Got to destination, ended trip N430. Chai that thing dey pain. Samething happened on Sat. Picked a rider from one Arts exhibition center at Onikan and she was going to Chevron drive only for her to change destination to a restaurant on Awolowo way after a call. Got to destination ended trip N378. I experienced my share of this nonsense Yesternight
It was quarter to 11pm in Ikeja Phone beeps, I accept... After the usual pleasantries,
Me: Where are you headed to? Rider: Lekki Phase 1 Me: I'll be there shortly
Get to the street after all the bad roads. The street was so narrow, it took minutes to turn and she wasted my time well
When she got in, and was on the trip
Rider: Please turn at Alade roundabout and enter Afolabi Aina. I want to pick up something from a friend
Me: Okay
Turns and she stops me in front of Crownhedge hotel.
Rider: End the trip please. I wouldn't be going to Lekki again Me: Keeps mum Rider: Call your account number Me: On top how much? Please look for #500 and give me. I don't accept transfers for such amount Rider: Looks angrily at me, comes down and walks in to beg the security man for #500
Gives it to me angrily and left.

After several card trips, I started one trip and it was cash. I didn't know when I shouted "ope o", Rider asked what happened, I say bros u be my last hope to get cash for fuel.
