I have seen the eclipse of the moon and Harley's comet but i am yet to see Loyika battle anyone either at Rumola road in PH or Oxford Circus in London.
It is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Let me enjoy the moments.

N.B.
Before both of u splash your life savings on this bet, let it be known that Ronaldo and SAF, despite earning 100k a week, had a wager of only 400 pounds.

Loyika is on the RED corner and will be slugging it out with a leprechaun called FBS on the BLUE corner.

@ Dis Guy,

I wldn't be surprised if Akola rents out his NI to unsuspecting Ibadan dudes as u suggested.
No one knows what Akola is doing in the UK.
The last thing he told me was his businesses are here and without the UK his business will suffer.
However, he has advised everyone that Nigeria is a better place to be than the UK.
Akola is a plonker!!!!!!!!!!!!!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 4:02pm On Jul 16, 2007
Loyika is a GOONER but he knows too much about Premiership clubs and he knows Ferguson is an institution.
Man Utd V Chelsea wont be a big deal. It will just be a testimonial match that will allow United to unveil their new players.
Nani and Anderson might want to prove a point or two to Jose Mourinho but Ronaldo will be hoping to silence his countryman.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 3:30pm On Jul 16, 2007
@ Loyika,

I think we should ignore this IRRITANT.
He loves the attention of the whole Nairaland seeing him as an slowpoke.
Alex Ferguson described the 1989 season as the darkest period he ever suffered as a manager.
United went on a run of 6 defeats and 2 draws in 8 successive games and he was due to be sacked.

In 1990, Ferguson's job was in the balance and would have been sacked if United had lost to the fearsome Notthingham forest in the FA cup.
It was sure as HELL that United would lose the match but Fergie turned it to victory and later reached the final.
The match against Forest is still known everywhere in England as the match that saved Fergie's job.
FBS is a pillock and i think we should all let him display his idiocy some more.
Its a characteristic of all Chelsea fans locally and internationally.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 2:44pm On Jul 16, 2007
FBS is a diseased-coochie.
I am going to retire is very different from i was sacked.
Ferguson had to appeal to Abrahamovic to let Jose Mourinho stay last season when their beef got heated up.

Ronaldo scored more goals than Lampard last season so what are u on about?
Lampard's 16 goals in the 2005-2006 season is a record for a midfielder in the English Premier League, but this record was beaten by Cristiano Ronaldo on 5 May 2007 in a match against Manchester City when Cristiano notched 17 goals.

Its obvious u dont check ur facts.
U r truly a pussy.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by Jackal(m): 2:30pm On Jul 16, 2007
@ Loyika,
FBS is a cunt!!!!!!!!!!
Who hates Chelsea? Who cares what happens at the Bridge?
U guys have failed to emulate Fergie's record of winning the title thrice back to back so u can start all over again.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 2:29pm On Jul 16, 2007
There can never be ego problems at Man United.
Ferguson gives no fcuks about any player.
He is the only manager that enforces NO PLAYER BIGGER THAN THE CLUB policy.
When Beckham was getting heady . . . . . he hocked him off.
RVN also questioned Fergie's tactics and he went the same way.

All the players we have are young so they dont even have egos.
Anderson and Nani will learn to behave themselves at Man United.
Hargreaves will also settle down well. I dont envisage any problems with the team.
Everybody will get his chance to play.
If AC Milan and Inter Milan can do it, United will surely can.

@ FBS,
I never knew Fergie was about to be sacked.
Larry Izamoje sometimes misinform u guys so dont always believe what u hear from him.
The only time Fergie's job came on the table was when he said he would retire and way back in the late 80's when United was under-performing.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 2:16pm On Jul 16, 2007
@ FBS,

Drogba score 30 goals and none was penalty? Thats remarkable.
Ronaldo is not a striker . . . . . .  He is a midfielder so to have scored that number of goals should be appreciated as well.
One thing u also fail to notice is assists.
Ronaldo's assists last season was outstanding. He had a hand in almost all the goals United scored plus he is technically skilful than Drogba.
He dribbles, good in the air and make things happen and he is just 22 years so u can say he hasnt peaked yet.
Drogba is at his zenith and might go on the decline this new season.

@ Loyika,
This dude named FBS doesnt belong to this planet.
MU wanted to sack Ferguson? I am having a laugh.
Fergie is unsackable but Mourinho is.
Obviously, Chelsea wasnt chelsea before Mourinho came to England.
What a terrible thing to write about one's club.
Thats the difference!!!!!!!!!

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 1:49pm On Jul 16, 2007
@ FBS,

The same Messi that used his hand to score against Zaragoza scored the goal of the season @ La Liga.
They never won LA LIGA but they gave it a fight. It was a stupid head to head that condemned em to 2nd place.
I wonder what Mourinho would have done if United had won on head to head scheme.(He would say Football is against Chelsea).

Why can't u just appreciate the young kid? How many times have Drogba dived(although he does it stupidly) to get free-kicks or penalties?
Every player has to protect himself so that is no basis of judging a good player.
Maradona was a chief diver at USA 1994. He conned his way to make sure he got 3 points against Nigeria and they did.
Dive or no dive, these players are very good.

Chelsea might have won the league twice consecutively but United has won it thrice consecutively in the past.
United has won the league 9 times is the last 15 premiership titles(60% success) in a league of 20 teams.
If that is not an achievement, i wonder what achievement is . . . . . . . .
The last premiership title was the sweetest because nobody gave SAF a chance when the season started.
Its good to know the Old Cowboy can still outsmart the young gun-slinger.
Fergie is the best at what he does.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 1:22pm On Jul 16, 2007
You r right.
The 2 guys mentioned are the best young talents in the world whether u like it or not!!!!!!!!
Messi and Ronaldo are up there with the very best and all y'all can just admire because u don't have any young talents in your team.
Ronaldo must have cheated Premiership players who voted him the best, he must have also cheated FA who gave him the Barclays player of the season plus the best young player in England.
Did he also cheat to score 17 premiership goals as a midfielder?

Messi, a cheat?
Name any player in the premiership save Ronaldo that is better than Leo Messi.
A player with so many outstanding qualities the whole world is saying he is the new Maradona. At what age? 20.
Messi is better than all Chelsea strikers moulded 2gether.

Don't hate the players, hate the games. grin

@ J-K,

Word is Bond!!!!!!!!
Chelsea don't buy with their eyes open.
I see no sense in getting Shevchenko, Ballack, SWP and Boulahrouz.
Have u noticed the number of expensive players Chelski bought that had to be kicked out after just one season?
Del Horno, Boulahrouz, Maniche, Jiri Jarosik and Kezman?
There's no doubt Mourinho is a good man-manager but u have to question his poor judgement of players.

@ Ruudie,

What do u expect from a very tired Man United side against Milan and Chelsea.
The fringe players that were supposed to help out were all injured.
Saha or JS Park on the bench could have helped a lot in those matches.
Ronaldo seems to be the only threat on the pitch and the opponents knew as long as he gets stopped then United is toothless.
U cannot expect a player to conjure magic all the time.
If u don't believe me, ask RIQUELME last night.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 1:05pm On Jul 16, 2007

RIQUELME was still the best player on the pitch last night.
He was fouled so many times and i believe the Referee didnt protect him as he could have done.
If that was a Premiership game, Riquelme could have made 5 Brazilian players cop red cards EASILY.

The supply was zapped by those gorilla looking Brazilian midfielder.
Brazil threw away sexy football for Bolton-like football.
They didn't win it pretty and they knew it was the only way they could contain a rampant Argentina.
Brazil won it the way Man United stopped Arsenal's unbeaten run at OT. grin
Kicking everyone off the park.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 12:39pm On Jul 16, 2007
Take your trashy comments to your Chelsea thread. U are nuthing but a Chelsea ballz-sucker.
Ronaldo won the accolades because most of the players in the Premiership voted for him.
Terry, Drogba and Michael Essien all voted for Ronaldo so its not about racism.

Ronaldo was the most-hated figure in the Premiership in August 2006.
He was booed everywhere he went so he didnt start at a vantage point like other players.
By January 2007, he has virtually converted all the fans that he was the best in the land.
If u ask me, thats what u call class.

This is what i call character.
If Drogba had shown half of it when he was being booed 2 seasons ago as a diver, he would have won it then.
Dont hate the player, hate the game.
Ronaldo was miles better than Drogba last season.
Sell Ronaldo? You are having a laugh.
Tell Mourinho to sell his penis!!!!!!!!!!!!

She was advised to try other visa because it is obvious the visitor's visa ain't working.
The Student's visa might work out for her instead of her wasting ample time and money on a wretched visitor's visa.
No one is saying she's desperate to come to UK but i'd say she's more than desperate to come to the UK. The number of attempts clearly shows this lady wants to leave Nigeria and have a change of environment.

Why are u talking like a novice?
U said she had an opportunity to overstay but she didn't.
Who would wanna overstay with a Visitor's visa in the UK of today where Police would soon be given the powers to question anyone on the streets and check on his/her immigration status?
Jackal an economic immigrant? I am having a laff.

Akola is a born pessimist.
He is so anti-British its not true.
Akola has done a great campaign to discourage Nigerians to stay out of UK but he stays in the UK 6 months of every year.

He was asking what makes UK special as if it is comparabke to Nigeria in any way.

@ Ruudie,
Stop sulking. . . . . . .  Shit happens in football.
I have put it behind me. I lost 100 pounds bet plus Nigerian flying crawling eagles crashing out as well, it's a shitty weekend but there are positives.

Enough competitions are coming up to brighten up the whole schitzo.
So there's light at the end of a dank tunnel. . . . . .

First all, it's the ASIAN CUP on July 24.
Liverpool, Fulham FC, Portsmouth and South China FC will be participating

Next on the roll is the EMIRATES tournament on July 28.
Inter Milan, Arsenal, Valencia and PSG will be slugging it out to win.

Whats more . . . . .
The AMSTERDAM tournament starts again on the 2nd of August.
Arsenal, Lazio, Ajax and Athletico Madrid will grace the tournament.

Lastly,
Its the ROTTERDAM tournament in Holland on the 3rd of August.
Liverpool, Feynoord, Porto and Shanghai Shenua will do their battle.

All these matches will fill the void till the COMMUNITY SHIELD on the 5th of August.
So it's FOOTIE all the way till the Premiership kicks off on the 11th of August plus these matches actually allows United faithfuls to have a good view of the title challengers like Arsenal and Liverpool.
Chelski shouldn't pose a problem!!!!!!!!!!

Cheer up, mate!!!!!!!!!!!!

The followers are not SICK.
They only tend to emulate the leaders.
Our past leaders were so corrupt u will marvel at what these GOONS did in the past.
Of all the countries who had OIL, Nigeria was the only one that succeeded in doing absolutely nothing with it.

What have we got after 47 years of independence? ZILCH!!!!!!!!!
Nigeria can be described as an open sore of the African continent.
Despite an oil bonanza of $280 billion the economy is derelict, public services are chronically inefficient, schools and hospitals are decaying, higher education has virtually collapsed, roads are pitted by pot-holes and the telephone system hardly function.
On the average, Nigerians were poorer in 2000 than they had been at the start of the OIL BOOM in the 1970s.

The record of successive governments had been abysmal. Leading institutions such as the civil services swallowed huge sums of money but delivered few services, embezzlement and bribery were fucking rife.
Vast sums of money were spent on prestige projects, to no advantage. A total of $8 billion had gone on constructing a steel industry complex based at Ajaokuta that had yet to produce a single bar of steel. Billions were sunk into ultra-modern capital city at Abuja, complete with glittering hotels and office towers, that the ruling elite enjoyed using but that brought little benefit to ordinary Nigerians like You and I.

Even worse were the vast sums siphoned off through corruption. Abacha's greed exceeded that of all its predecessors. It was estimated he stole more than $4 billion, taking money either directly from the treasury, or from government contracts, or through scams like Petroleum Trust Fund that he set up ostensibly to channel extra revenue from an increase in domestic fuel price into infrastructure and other shady investments.
What do u expect the followers to do with all these web of events?

Sports › Re: Copa America 2007 by Jackal(m): 12:13am On Jul 16, 2007
Argentina didn't turn up.

Erm, erm, they did turn up but Brazil came with a game plan to disrupt the flow of the Argentines.
Its like what Bolton does to Arsenal. Close down on the engine room which was Riquelme.
He was fouled more than 1000 times . . . . . . . . .With the engine bombarded, there was no flow from Riquelme thus cutting supplies to Messi n Tevez.
Brazil deserved it but the score line is flattering.

As for the flying eagles, My heart bleeds for 'em.
They were shit. I have never seen a team as terrible as them represent Nigeria in major competition.
Ohenhen, Adepoju, Mikel Obi, Pius Ikedia and Aghahowa will be grossly disappointed to see what the team has degenerated into.
No strength in-depth, no midfield maestro and technically, no play-maker.
A well-trained Nairaland team would beat this crop of players.

Nigeria as a country is sick.
The problem with this country is simply and squarely a failure of leadership.
There's nothing basically wrong with the Nigerian character. Nothing wrong with the Nigerian land or water or air or climate.
The Nigerian problem is the unwillingness or inability of its leaders to rise to the responsibility, to the challenge of personal example which are the hallmarks of true LEADERSHIP.
Nigeria's health will continue to decline until this problem is solved.
