@ Dayokanu, U cannot tell me what a typical Chelsea team must look like. It all bores down to the manager. I can decide to have Glen Johnson, Terry, Wayne Bridge and Ashley Cole in my defence. Lampard, Steve Sidwell and Wright-Phillips in the midfield Then Sinclair, Drogba and Joe Cole in the attack. My team would still be a formidable team of 9 English players so what are u on about? My question is why does England has more top seeded teams than any country in Europe? Is UEFA partial or what can u say is the factor? Lemme tell u the answer? It's because the top 4 teams in England are stronger than any Top 4 teams in the same league in the whole wide world. No question, the La Liga is more competitive but overall, the Premiership is miles better than La Liga. Say no more!!!!!!!!!! |
@ Banderas, I said Luiz Ronaldo is the best striker ever to have played the round leather game. His records speak for itself. There will be no need for me to start writing what he has done. He is a true legend. On the Solskjaer and Henry issue, Lets be realistic here. As u can see, Solskjaer only beats Henry on the frequency not the number of different medals they have won. Henry has won in different leagues and for country, Solskjaer won everything in one team and Zilch for country. What about individual accolades? Does Solskjaer get a mention anywhere? Correct me if i am wrong. Blackburn Rovers and Chelsea can be mentioned in the same breath. There's no difference between the 2 clubs. Remember, there's a difference between Chelsea and Chelski. Chelski is what we have today. The Roman revolution winning back to back league titles. Chelsea is what we had before 2003. One league title in 50 years. Geddit? |
Spain has won the Euro Cup but England has won the world cup. Technically, England is better than Spain. The only team with foreign legion in the English premiership is Arsenal. Chelsea, Man Utd and Liverpool have a decent percentage of British players. The Man Utd team that defeated Roma 7-1 had 8 British players in the starting line-up. What else can u ask for? I don't know why anyone would rate the La Liga more than the English Premiership. The La Liga used to be great in the past but things have changed remarkably these days and if u analyse the quality of players in the EPL these days u will marvel. Was it a coincidence that all the Premiership clubs topped their groups in last season's UEFA Champions league? Anutha coincidence that there were 3 Premiership clubs in the last 4 of the Champions league last season? Premiership clubs have reached the finals of UEFA in the last 3 seasons? C'mon . . . . . . . .Give the Premiership the credits. Afterall, England is the only country to have all of its 4 representatives seeded in the Champions league. Your favourite La Liga only has 2 seeded teams in Barcelona and Real Madrid. ![]() If that's not an evidence of The Premiership's strength then i wonder what it is. |
@ Dayokanu, You seem to be missing the points like free-throw shots. 21 Premiership titles for player A and 1 premiership title for player B is the same thing. They have both won the Premiership. The amount is purely academic!!!!!!!!!! Why did Jose Mourinho throw his Premiership medal into the crowd? He said he threw it away because he has won it before and it does not matter how many times. Technically, Luiz Ronaldo has won more than Beckham. Most of Beckham's titles are club titles. Ronaldo has won for country and club. I won't waste space to start listing what he has won but i can tell u one thang. Luiz Ronaldo is the best striker ever to have played the round leather game. @ Banderas, Basically, u are saying Beckham shouldn't be mentioned in the news because he is no longer a good player? Maradona stopped playing ages ago and he still gets mentioned everytime. What about Pele that stopped playing 3 decades ago? What Beckham gets is off-field papparazzi and what do u expect from a footballer that married a spice girl. If Drogba marries Paris Hilton today, he would get more publicity and thats a known fact. Stevie Gerrard has saved the English team? Yea right. Like he did against Portugal during the world cup. Gerrard's penalty miss was the most crucial. You expect a player like him to take responsibility when it matters most but he didn't. Lets just see Gerrard as a great club player not a national hero. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer winning more titles than Henry? You need to check your facts right. Solskjaer has won the Premiership, FA Cup, Carling Cup, UEFA Champions league, Intercontinental cup and Community Shield-----6 titles. Henry has won the Premiership, FA cup, Carling Cup, Community Shield, World Cup, European Cup, Confederations cup, French Ligue 1 and French Super cup.-------------8 titles. You can do the math and tell me who has won more. |
How do u expect a player of 31 yrs to still play in the same way he was at 24 or 25 years. Age catches up for Bleep's sake. Compare Claude Makelele now to what he was at Real Madrid or Luiz Ronaldo of 1999-2002 to Ronaldo of today. Is Luiz Ronaldo also over-rated cos he is now FAT and doesnt score like he used to? Nigga Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Beckham is not overly skilful but he is the best at what he does in his PRIME and that is why he is a walking billboard. |
@ Banderas, David Beckham has paid his dues as a player. I disagree with u on the Gerrard better than Beckham bit. What criteria are we using here to judge that? Gerrard is a good player but i don't think he is better than David Beckham as they don't even play the same role as footballers. Beckham in his days is the best passer of the ball. Luiz Ronaldo and Ruud Van Nistelrooy will tell u that day and night. Beckham is a prolific free-kick maestro in his days and he has saved the English team from embarrassment times without number. If u want to rate Beckham from what he is today then be it in your own head. If u want to rate him for what he has done in his entire career then Beckham leads the pack out of all the English players. Only Beckham has won the Premiership, FA Cup, Carling Cup and the UEFA Champions League, Intercontinental cup and the La Liga. Stevie Gerrard has to win all these titles before he can be mentioned in the same breath as David Beckham so deal wiv it.!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
I totally disagree with u. La Liga for what it is attracts 99% of the players in the South America. If u consider the fact that only Brazil speaks the portugese language in the whole SOUTH AMERICAN continent and all the other countries SPEAK spanish then La Liga has a slight adavantage over the influx of talented foreign players. Remove the Brazilians and the Argentines in La Liga and u have nothing. Maybe thats the reason why Spain as a country has never won anything. You cannot really say the same about EPL. The foreigners do their bits but there are more world class English players than Spanish players. The media also kind of overhype and overrate the English players but when u look at players like Joe Cole, Steven Gerrard and Wayne Rooney then u will be convinced the player development schemes in the Premiership is miles ahead that of La Liga. Its the Latin Americans that makes the La Liga thick. |
The FA premiership is the best football league in the world. It has the best organisation, the best media coverage and the most funded. Only America's NBA, NFL and MLS have more audience that the EPL. |
Anyone saying David Beckham is over-rated should see his/her brain-surgeon. Beckham has paid his dues as a player and he has won something that Chelsea and Arsenal players haven't won yet. UEFA champions league. The most over-rated players Frank Lampard and Cesc Fabregas. |
Man Utd Retains the Premiership title and the FA cup. Crashes out of UEFA champions league in the Finals to Barcelona. Wayne Rooney injures his metatarsal yet again. Mikel Obi had a spat with Michael Ballack which led to Ballack's departure to AC Milan. Joe Cole tests positive for anabolic steroids and was banned. Ideye and Bala Ezekiel joins Chelsea in January transfer window. Mourinho also considers signing RASHEED YEKINI but the deal was squashed by Roman Abrahamovic. Liverpool Fernando Torres becomes 2nd highest goal scorer in the Premiership. Stevie Gerrard sustains a back injury ruling him out for 6 months. Sergio Ramos joins Liverpool on loan in January. Liverpool crashes out to Man Utd in UEFA champions league S/finals. Liverpool draws Chelsea at home and snatches a rare away victory in the Premiership fixture. Arsenal Emmanuel Adebayor becomes the highest goal scorer at Arsenal. Gallas had a spat with Wenger leading to his departure to PSG in France. Ribery joins Arsenal in January transfer window. Tottenham Berbatov suffers a fracture and was out for 3 months. Martin Jol signs Eidur Gudjohnsen in January transfer window. Salomon Kalou also moves to Spurs in January. Tottenham reaches Q-finals of UEFA cup. Chimbonda scores a winning goal to defeat Arsenal at white hart lane. Newcastle Michael Owen scores 3 successive hatricks in the Premiership. Obafemi Martins leads Newcastle to win the UEFA cup final. Sam Allardyce signs Diouf and Faye to Newcastle in January. Damien Duff scores 15 goals in the league. Diouf spits in Rooney's face and Wayne retaliated aand the 2 of em were red-carded. Man City. Sven Eriksson breathes life into Man City as they win the 1st 3 matches. Man City signs 3 Italian players in January transfer window. Eriksson and Jose Mourinho trade cusses on the touchline in a feisty match. Mourinho brands Eriksson a paedophile while Eriksson calls Jose a nicompoop. Eriksson signs Freddy Adu in January. Man City draws United at the Manchester derby at Old Trafford. Relegation Derby, Wigan and Fulham relegates. |
Of course, It starts from scratch but United will start with a swagger of the Champions. With newbies here n there, there will be a buzz when the season kicks off. I can guarantee u 6 straight wins before any hiccups, and by then, our rivals will be struggling to catch us on the table. Remember last season, 'twas catch us if u can from August to May. ![]() |
@ Loyika, Liverpool has finished above Arsenal in 2 successive seasons now. Who woulda thought that could happen even in 2004(Unbeaten run season). The gap is closing down on Arsenal. It was the way the Gap closed on Man United after 2000/01 season. All these lower teams are beefing up and to be honest, i think Martin Jol has done a wonderful job at Spurs. Lets see what pans out and i also think Berbatov was the signing of last season. He was awesome!!!!!! |
@ Loyika, Truth be told. Spurs have closed the margin into a thin film now. The difference between the 2 teams was huge some 2-3 seasons ago but it aint anymore. If Wenger does not tighten his belt, Spurs might just finish above Arsenal this season. ![]() |
@ Loyika, Jealousy Jealousy. Every team will lose a match at one time or the other. Your reasons here are not good enough. Even the treble champions of 1999 lost many matches in that 1998/99 season so lets be objective. Do u think i mind Arsenal beating United home and away last season? I wish Arsenal could be taking 6 points off United every season as long as we win the premiership title. ![]() What we are saying here is addition of Tevez will boost United's chances of winning the title. If we had Tevez last season, we wouldnt have lost some of the matches we lost. The Milan nightmare was because we had a skint defence. No Rio, No Neville, No Evra and an unfit Vidic. Take the equivalent out of Chelsea and lets see where it gets em. Afterall, Chelsea had everyone bar Petr Cech and they lost to Spurs & Middlesboro. United had no Saha and Neville and beat Chelski 4-0 on the same grounds. Football aint mathematics, Arsenal whupped us home n away last season just the way United did in 2004/05. I know its 11 against 11 but if its that simple, Arsenal wldn't beat Everton 7-0 at Highbury some seasons ago. United wldn't beat a highly defensive Roma side 7-1. Tevez's addition will be an advantage so if i were u, i would be SCARED. ![]() |
If only wishes were horses . . . . . . . Razor would join the REDS. We will chase u back to your blue world if u try to. You chelski tweak-- clench ur butt-cheeks |
@ Rikkyjen, WORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think our rivals are scared shitless. SAF's Man Utd dream attack is finally dawning on 'em. Last season's exploits of Rooney n Ronaldo is still causing ripples throughout the country. Just when some teams are planning to neutralise the effects of this dynamic duo Fergie wants to bring in another prodigal son. Status has changed from Dynamic Duo to Tenacious Trio. ![]() I can't wait for the season to start. . . . . . .Lets kick some asses. |
@ Kitaun, I have been able to prove Tevez has achieved more than Drogba. All these talks about Drogba's hype is bollocks. Thank You for mentioning Etoo who u think was a HIT at Mallorca. Etoo @ Mallorca averaged 14-17 league goals in all the 5 years he was at Mallorca. When Etoo joined Barcelona in the summer of 2004, he notched 24 league goals in his debut season and he was just a goal short of becoming the joint top scorer in la liga. Can u explain why this is so? In the following season, Etoo scored 26 goals to grab the pichichi @ Barcelona. This was what he couldn't do in all the years he was at Mallorca. Where did the sudden revival come from? Why can't u realise it was because Etoo found himself among world class players @ Barca thus boosting his gameplay? Wazza is anutha classic example. A very good player but he wasn't going to realise his potential in a crappy team like Everton. Rooney scored a total of 17 goals throughout his entire career at Everton. Big deal, innit? In his debut season at Man Utd, he scored 17 goals in all competitions. He achieved all what he did @ Everton in one season @ Man Utd. Big deal? What transformed him? You and I know it was because he played with world class players. Since his debut season, his number of goals have increased progressively as he scored 19 goals in his 2nd season and 23 in his 3rd season. This is why i think Tevez with his natural ability will do well @ Man United. Plug Tevez in the midst of Ronnie and Wazza and their goal tallies would burst the 80-goal mark. Saha is a different issue. Louis Saha is a good player but he is jinxed with long-term injuries. Whats the point in relying on a player that cannot guarantee 50% appearance in league games. You might as well ship him out and let a more reliable player fill his void. I'd rather have Tevez, Ruud, Huntelaar and even Smith before i sign Saha. Saha is a global deception; he used to be national but his fake hype has spread to Africa, Asia and the Americas. ![]() |
@ Loyika, Don't break sweats on that tweak with the Failed Brain Syndrome. What do u expect from a lass suffering this kind of ailment coupled with acute dysmenorrhea? She spews shyte and could also be suffering from diarrhoea of the mouth. U better dial 999 before this bitch infects everyone. ![]() |
@ Failed Brain Syndrome(FBS) United has joined the UNICEF African chapter since 1999 and have been contributing in fighting HIV/AIDS scourge in South Africa. Alex Ferguson and players have met with Mandela and many other African organisations to make contributions towards the development of Africa. Whats the point in signing African players only to be treated like Dung the way Chelsea treats DROGBA and ESSIEN. Someone said ESSIEN and DROGBA are the biggest performers in Chelsea and they earn the lowest wages!!!!! Indeed, Chelsea represents Africa both on the field!!!!!!!! Representing by paying Africans minimum wages. ![]()
|
No wonder ur brain fails. . . . ![]() I wrote that cos someone was bovvered why Essien isn't on the top 10 list with his 24 million-pound deal from Lyon. Read between the lines, pillock. |
@ FBS(Failed Brain Syndrome), No one is questioning Essien's ability. He is a very good player but good player does not necessarily mean high wages. Lyon and Essien's agents should be held responsible for his very low weekly wages NOT me so vent your anger towards them. You tweak. @Chuckdee4, Lampard and Terry are English so u should always expect em to earn high wages. Ballack and Shevchenko are world class before they joined Chelsea so expect their wages to be also high. Chelsea made DROGBA and ESSIEN so expect em to earn low wages. There r 2 kinds of players in football. The ones that the club MADE and the ones that make the club GREAT. Do the math and tell me the category where DROGBA and ESSIEN belong? |
@ FBS(Failed-Brain Syndrome), I don't expect u to use ur head as ur username suggests, FBS. Man Utd has done far more in South Africa over the years. Only empty barrels make the loudest noises. Chelsea didnt have to make it so public. The whole idea is political. Check this out . . . . . . . . . . . . A NURSES’ hardship fund raised £750,000 — after some of the Premiership’s best-paid stars pitched in with a day’s pay. Arsenal captain Thierry Henry, Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard and Man United winger Ryan Giggs are among players who contributed. Top footballers can earn over £100,000 a week — compared to an average nurse’s salary of £21,000. But six months ago fundraiser Dr Noreena Hertz knew no one in the world of football. Now she has recruited 239 players to the May Day For Nurses campaign. She came up with the idea after helping organise Live8. Noreena, 38, said: “Every single Premiership club is now on board and almost half of the players are giving up their pay today.” The cash raised will go into a Royal College of Nursing fund for nurses who need money for things such as childcare or transport to work. Managers including Terry Venables, Sir Alex Ferguson, Sam Allardyce and Martin O’Neill and former players such as Jamie Redknapp and Graeme Le Saux also took part. And over 29,000 fans agreed to give up a day’s wages. The entire squad at Watford gave up a day’s money — and nurses led out the team yesterday. All the players for Fulham Man Utd, Arsenal and West Ham’s first teams also paid up. Reading had 27 contributors, Sheffield United 23, Blackburn 23, Bolton 22 and Spurs 20. Middlesbrough failed to cough up but boss Gareth Southgate did get out his chequebook. Worst were Chelsea — with no players donating. Hmmmmmmm . . . . . . . .So much for CHELSKI IS RICH. |
Essien earns only 60k a week. His name can never be on the top 10 list. |
@ Razorr, Ya talk is cheap. Don't think i didnt notice how u ran away with ur tails btw your legs in the Drogba Vs Tevez debate. I am sure u now know Tevez at 23 has achieved more than Drogba at 29. Buncha tweaks!!!!!!!! |
Talking about touts and hoodlums? Who are the biggest group of touts in Europe? Chelsea fans. How sick can some fans be to cite threats to Anders Frisk(FIFA Referee) family because Chelsea lost a match to Barcelona in 2005. The same set of touts forced Graham Poll(Premiership's best referee) into an early retirement with death threats directed towards Poll's family. Chelsea players, fans and the management are all rogues as far as football is concerned. The same set of people denied vehemently that they never met Cashley Cole in any hotel but we know the truth now. Lil' wonder William Gallas and recently.,Cannavaro said Chelsea has no class. ![]() The same set of fans were responsible for sending dangerous parcels to Rooney and Ronaldo @ the Carrington training complex towards the end of last season. I am sorry for Chelski's future. @ Kitaun, You should know better as a soccer-buff. How can u judge Tevez's performance based on what happened in a shitty club like West Ham? How may matches did he feature in until the closing hour of the Premiership last season when the fans forced Curbishley to play him? What was Wazza's input at Everton when he had shitty teammates? What is his input now @ Man Utd with brilliant players like Giggs, Scholes and Ronaldo? How many goals do u think Drogba or Henry will score if they play for a shitty team like West Ham or Sheffield United? I tell u, Henry will be happy to score 10 league goals in a season as the team's total goals might not even exceed 30. Javier Mascherano is another classic example. He was crap at West Ham because he had mediocre team mates who cannot understand his level of football brilliance. Did u notice the transformation when he joined Liverpool? Remember how he single-handely destroyed Chelsea's midfield machine in Anfield in the Champions league semis? That is what playing in a good team can do for players with natural ability. There's no way in HELL Tevez won't be a Zeus if he plays with Ronaldo, Rooney, Scholes and Giggs at Man Utd. Its like disobeying the laws of nature . . . . . . . .Tevez will definitely blaze the league if he joins Man Utd. |
@ Razorr, Stop deluding + deceiving yourself. You need to see it on HDTV, The football shirt is awful. Even the commentators were complaining about it on Chelsea TV. Chelsea players looked like REFUSE/WASTE MANAGEMENT WORKERS in a London Borough @ Vieira, Take a look at the Jersey and tell me this shirts dont look like what Islington borough workers wear when they come for ur wheelie-bins. ![]() |
@ Razorr, Save your breath!!!!!!!!! Only 2 scenarios are bound to happen and UNITED will win on both occasions. The problem here is NOT that West Ham AIN'T selling, The issue is who gets the economic rights of the player known as Carlos Tevez? What FIFA has to decide is who picks the transfer fee between West Ham and KJ. SHOULD FIFA decides West Ham owns Tevez's economic rights, then United would have to pay West Ham United or get Tevez on a loan as the case may be. Tevez might miss the 1st few games but the transfer window schitzo is a bit of a red herring if the 2nd scenario suffices. If Tevez WINS his case against West Ham (and Gill seems VERY confident that he will) then Tevez WILL BE A FREE-AGENT. This means he is NOT bound by transfer window bollockz and can JOIN United at any time throughout the season. I don't know why haters don't want United to sign Tevez. Peops are beginning to fidget over this transfer saga and wishing United don't get him. Don't hate United because they are splashing on new players and Chelsea are buying dud players. We got the money. We spend the money. We bought the honey. ![]() I pity United's rivals next season when Tevez joins. |
@ Kitaun, Huntelaar would have been my choice if i have a way cos i wanted someone to replace the void Ruud left at Man United. It seems he is out of reach and good luck to him. We might pinch him next season. I'd rather we sign Tevez than sign no one and let Saha deceive us again like he did last season. If we cant get Huntelaar i think Tevez will be a manageable option for United. I would buy any striker(similar to Wazza or not) than to depend on Louis Saha who can never be fit to play 20 league games in a season. Should United decide to go with a 3-man attack, i think Tevez and Ronaldo supporting Rooney upfront wld be magical. Man United will become MONSTERS in the Premiership cos the attack will be unstoppable. Tevez and Rooney are brutes but i think a manager like Ferguson will have defined roles for the 2 of em and make em play together efficiently unlike Lampard and Ballack who always collide with each other. It will be interesting to see how Fergie works with his pit-bulls. |
@ beetintin, Leave Tevez? How can we drop him just like that? West Ham wants to sell. The only problem here is who picks the transfer fee. MSI says they own the right to the transfer fees and West Ham only has the player registration rights. FA wants the transfer fee to go to one party but 2 parties are fighting for it. Tevez will be a wonderful addition to the present united squad. Tevez on the left, Rooney in the centre and Ronaldo on the right plus they all can play anywhere in the front line. This adaptability in the frontline is why Barcelona is the best in Europe so Man Utd should grab this opportunity. SAF must sign Tevez. FIFA will eventually resolve the impasse and United would sign Tevez. @ J-K, Where the heck have u been? I dont like this ur MIA attitude. I hope u have not been sleeping with our enemies. It wont be long so let Tevez enjoy his vacation. |
Razorr, Instead of u to punch holes in ma theory u are mouthing me to be losing it. You fucking PERV!!!!!!!!! What has Drogba got more than TEVEZ as a football player? Zilch. I will let u gallivant in ur fool's paradise. Tevez is an ace, Drogba is a dud. Carlos Tevez in Drogba's shoes at Chelsea wld have scored more than Drogba. |
FOC in Jand? You must be dreaming. Ya best bet is to get bed n breakfast. Manchester residents are violent. Remember Amityville? The local folks even call the city GUNchester. Stay safe! |
@ Razorr, I would rather have Tevez in my team than 100 Didier Drogbas. Tevez is a young player and i can tell u he hasn't peaked yet but Drogba is past his peak and his on the decline. Everything about Carlos Alberto Tevez oozes class and character. Tevez's deal from Boca Juniors to Corinthians of Brazil is the biggest in the whole SOUTH AMERICAN football history. Knowing how Brazilians don't like Argentines, Tevez worked his way into the fans heart and bagged the fans favourite player in Brazil. He is the 1st non-Brazilian to win that award in almost 30 years. He has won more accolades than Didier Drogba even with his young age and a very short football career. Tevez was the South American Player of the year in 2003, 2004 and 2005. If u consider the number of talented players in South America then y'all guys will agree that TEVEZ is the BIG DEAL. He won the olympic golden boot by scoring 8 goals in 6 matches for Argentina olympic team in 2004. Tevez has an olympic GOLD medal to his name Tevez came to West ham and became Hammer's player of the year. Tevez isn't just good because he is joining Man United. Tevez is class because he is a good player. I will never rate a player because my club is signing him. Go and read my comments when United signed Carrick last season. Carlisto is a more all round striker than DD Drogba. The FA is scared what United might become if we sign Tevez . . . . . . UNITED will be MONSTERS. Didier Drogba, What can i say about him? The only thing Drogba has more than Tevez is good looks. ![]() Basically, he had nuthing until 2006/07 season where he scored 33 goals in all competitons. Some ignorant Chelsea fans even think he had the highest goal tally in Europe . . . . . Buncha Tweaks!!!!!!!!! Managed to scored 20 goals in 36 games in the league and Chelski fans went hay-wire. He had 2 disappointing seasons at Chelsea where he finished 10 goals in 26 league games and 12 goals in 29 games in his 2nd season. What a record for Chelski's mr prolific. He also managed the CAF player of the year aided by Etoo's injury and Essien's defensive role to cover for Terry's injury. How can i rate this dude over Tevez who does it consistently? Drogba is a good player no doubt but i worry about his consistency. |
