@ christino, Don't be too hasty about Ruud. Real's yet to know their first team. When they do, there will be uniformity and consistency in the team and Ruud will deliver more goals. I trust Ruud to repeat his feat in la liga and raise up dusts. Put Ruud anywhere on God's green earth and he will deliver 25+ goals a season. He is a natural born striker. |
Ronaldinho 3-1 Zaragoza. |
Ronaldinho has won it. Anutha text-book free-kick that will make David Beckham jealous. Dinho is born to play the game. Scoring 6 goals in the last 3 games. He is simply the best. This game is awesome. Full of thrills and skills. Look at the way Dinho celebrated his 2nd goal. He practically jumped on Rijkaard's head. ![]() Pique(Man Utd loanee) has been booked. Sorry for the young lad. Ronaldinho is the best player in the planet. Did u see the 2nd free-kick? Bloody hell------------this Brazilian is awesome. He made the difference in this match. Class is def'ly permanent. Ronaldinho has hauled Barca back to the top of La Liga. Merry Xmas in advance. ![]() |
Barca should win. Rijkaard needs to buy a top striker or bring Maxi Lopez back. Gudjohnsen is not an out n out striker and Etoo has been sorely missed. |
Are u kidding me? Let him go there and lets see. Teary Hurry is a local champion. He had the chance to play in Spain but he declined. |
Another bad-ass performance from Europe's numero uno striker- Ruud Van Nistelrooy. I am sure his critics will be eating their own puke after his terrific performance against Osasuna. Scoring a hatrick on home soil is a mile-stone on its own just like Drogba did last night. How do u judge a striker that scored 4 goals in an away match? AbsoTRUTHly top-notch. U can't take away Ruud's amazing goal-scoring instincts. He has carried his run into La Liga and he won't be far from claiming the golden boot by May next year. Ruud has scored 2 la liga hatricks already in his debut season. It is phenomenal. Teary Hurry, are u watching?
|
Drogba has stepped up his game, no doubt. Improvement does not necessarily mean Drogba has matched Etoo's class. He is still following Etoo's foot-steps to become a true African legend. I launched a thread on Drogba to acknowledge his new-improved rhythm but he needs to do more. Let him win the Prem's golden boot, win UEFA champions league medal and then maybe i can begin to page him with Etoo. Until then, Drogba is just another Andy Johnson or Darren Bent(flash in a fucking pan). @ hustler, Injury means nuthing. Luiz Ronaldo's contributions in 2002 was just the fact that he scored 8 goals @ the world cup. Injury couldn't let him play for many months in 2002 but he still won the world footballer of the year award. Just one tournament. Compare that to African Nations cup golden boot, La Liga golden boot, La Liga title and UEFA champions league title(All in 2006) Do u think Drogba's credentials can match all these achievements? You do the math. @ Tosinadeda, Drogba has a chance to win it in 2007 but def'ly not this year. Awards are not decided on what a player achieves with Chelsea in only 2 months. Remember, Drogba is yet to win anything yet apart from the Prem title where Lampard(a midfielder) was the club's highest goal scorer. What does that say about Drog? |
@ Radiant, That was HARSH. The fact is Tosin is a bloody Chelskite so he has got the right to feel Drogba deserves the award more than any other African. I feel his pain but we should not let club patriotism affect our judgements. Ronaldo n Rooney are also contesting for the young player award but i think Leo Messi deserves it more. I support Man Utd passionately but Messi has to be the most talented teenager in the world. Samuel Etoo is world class and Drogba needs to do more to patch on Etoo's wavelength. |
@ tosinadeda, With all due respect, i think u are the dull nigga here. What did George Weah achieve for his country when he won the world footballer of the year and african footballer in the year in 1995? Liberia has never qualified for the world cup , let alone play @ the world cup finals. It is not rocket science. Sanuel Etoo is the best african player and the best striker in the world. U argued Drogba knocked out Cameroun but did he help his country win the CAN 2006 eventually? Where was Drogba when Etoo became the highest goal scorer of CAN 2006? He was busy perming his hair like a Los Angeles gay. Duhhhhhh, negro please, take a chill pill. Even if Etoo stays on the bench for 1 year, his achievements in football still outweighs Drogba's. |
Etoo should win it. Why are some people suffering from amnesia? What has Drogba played this year to merit CAF player of the year? Drogba has only enjoyed 2 months of terrific football in the whole year. The only thang to show all year is just a premiership title. Samuel Etoo has been giving a stellar performance from january till september when he copped his injury. Thats 8-9 months of spell-bound, terrific and top-draw football. He copped the pichichi, La Liga, UEFA under his belt and u guys are yappin about Drogba? Drog what? Try Yakubu. Negroes pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaze. CAF as an organisation aint myopic like most of y'all. |
@ Kitaun, Blackburn played zilch. As a matter of fact, they didn't just turn up. If only Wazza had taken the chances presented to him on a platter of gold we wouldn't be here discussing this. United tore Blackburn apart with crisp passes and fluid movement. As time wore on, they became confident and were closing the loose gaps. U wouldn't have known who was playing at home between both teams. Man Utd took the game to 'em and they were lucky to have lost by a goal margin. Check out the match details and holla @ me. I know u envy Man Utd. Dont hate, pls appreciate. United has not won a premiership game on that ground since Abacha died so give my lads some credits. Lets see how u guys cope with the tenacity of Liverpool tomorrow. Arsenal to nick 3 points? i don't think so. Expect another shocker tomorrow from the Scousers. |
Anutha 3 points. Breath-taking performances from Ronaldo, Giggsy, Saha and Vida. Wazza disappointed me, he should have scored a hatrick easily. Poor weather conditions made the match difficult for both teams but United worked their socks off and conjured up another clean sheet. The main event still centres on the 26th of November. Chelski must go down and this will be achieved if all the members of the 1st XI stay fit. United has no credible bench. I hope JS Park and Solskjaer recovers well before the match against Chelsea. The heat is on!!!!!!!!!!!!! Catch us if u can. Its gon' go straight down to the wire this time around. UP UNITED. @ Kitaun, It is not who scores that matters, the 3 points is imperative. We are not fighting for the golden-boot, we are fighting for the Prem title. United has now won 6 matches on the bounce. Scored more than any other team and has conceeded less than any other team. What else do u want from a team? Like i have said, catch us if u fucking can. |
@ Crazykid, Stop playing that game in mind, will ya? I can still remember the events on that day clearly in ma mind. Your last post is kinda nostalgic cos it makes me feel United are a notch or two behind the level we were at 1999. Giggsy's goal that night still ranks as the best goal ever scored in a football match. The circumstances that surrounded the goal makes it even better than Maradona's solo effort at Mexico 86. Ryan Giggs is a wizard. He is the best player to have ever played on the left wing in his generation. Giggsy's been running that left channel since the start of the premiership and he's still the best by miles. What can Man Utd do without him? He is United's most-prized possession and he is one of the best foreign professionals to have ever played in the Premiership. |
@ Rikkyjen, Thats the maximum shake-up i was talking about. The dismal performances of some players after the Southend's defeat left a sour taste in Fergie's fat mouth. He feels its high time he stops experimenting with Smudgy in matches and he is also aware that Smudgy needs matches to get back in form hence he decided to loan him out. I understand Fergie's plight but United's strength in-depth is annoyingly thin. Who do we have upfront? Rooney, Saha and maybe Ronaldo. Solskjaer is down. Saha is also a customer of the surgeon's knife. I think Ferguson will buy 3-4 players in the January transfer window. Rossi should be back from the wilderness by then and we should get back on track. No cause for alarms. Smithy needs to play more games to get back in shape and United cannot afford to keep playing him as every single match has now become important. The MUST-WIN syndrome has hit every manager and no one wants any slip-up. Chelsea has just 2 strikers in Drogba and Sheva and they are good. Rooney and Saha(if he stays fit) can also keep thangs happening, why not? @ Kitaun, Thanx, but no thanx. What did Arsenal turn Kanu to? Francis Jeffers, Pennant, Reyes etc. Wenger will only make him worse as a player and i don't think Fergie can ever loan his player to Arsenal. Never have, never will so keep ur snouts out of it. |
@ tosinadeda, I grew up where u just don't let people talk bollocks. If i see an idiot spewing garbage, i will be sure to point it out. |
@ Lordimpaq, Man Utd has already confirmed he will join the team next month for a trial. He will sign a 3 year contract if he performs and thats about that. |
@ Kitaun, I'm glad u have witnessed this yet again. Peace or no peace, this sonofabitch is going down today. His day of reckoning has come. AY(Animalistic Yob), Lemme break u something proper, I realise its impossible to take the slum out of u and its due to your dad's dominant gene playing his game on u yet again. Its nauseating to know u can still come back and fight after i made u bite the dust some few days ago. Some feeble resistance u got but i will consume your existence with loads of venom. After 6 months of therapy, u still act like a human-mutt that u are. Always spewing shhhit and writing as if illiteracy is hereditary. I can understand your father's poor literacy level because he never went to school- he got caught while raping a neighbour's cat. Spent 21 years in jail as a result of his heinous crime and that was the end of his story. U tweak, why don't u just disapper, better still, kill yourself? Taking your own life will do everyone a favour because u will never amount to something. Your continous existence is a waste because your productivity level is zilch. The only difference between u and a stray dog is just that u can stand on 2 legs. Apart from this, u are as useless like a baby's diaper. I have told u this before. If u marry a fool like u, Nigeria will reek of idiots. Get a knife, Take your own life, Die tonight. U make me want to puke. ![]() |
@ Justkunmi, Fergie left the big boys at home so as to preserve them fresh for Blackburn FC. We should nick the maximum points available on saturday cos i heard there's a max shake-up in the team after Southend's defeat. Expect the big boys to give anutha stellar performance at Blackburn. Majority of the players were given the hair-dryer treatment and some players have been told bluntly they might have no FUTURE in Man Utd. This development will bring out the best in some struggling players like O'Shea and Fletcher and Silvestre. Freddy Adu is joining United next month for a trial and we might sign him by January if things shape out fyne with him. Its so frustrating that we have a strong XI that is capable of beating any team but the fringe players are not just performing. The good players have been loaned out for more experience and Man Utd is skating on a very thin ice. I just pray injury syndrome does not hit the team. Giggsy, Saha, Scholesy and all other injury-prone players must stay fit. United must stay ahead of Chelski as far as possible to avoid catching up like we did throughout last season. UP UNITED. @ Lordimpaq & Debosky. Arsenal won but they managed the victory narrowly. Wenger left the big guns at home like Fergie did and nearly paid for it. Arsenal got lucky and won eventually cos they played a 10-man Everton team for almost 75 mins. McFadden's red card helped Wenger's decison to leave his big players at London else he wld have been kicked out as well. The Prem race is on, y'all guys should catch us if u can. |
@ PDF, I didn't consider it because Fergie promised to take a strong squad to Southend. Van der Sar, Neville, Ferdinand , Vidic, Giggsy, Scholesy, Saha were all missing and that was where we missed out on the goal harvest. Did u see the team Mourinho rolled out tonight? Drogba, Sheva, Lampard, Essien and co. and the gate of goals opened. When was the last time Chelski scored 4 at the bridge? |
@ Grizzly, Don't mind those gooners. They were quick to celebrate United's elimination in the Carling cup competition as if its a big deal. United had no excuses but i feel for 'em lads cos they have not really played well together collectively and u can tell the understanding and cohesion wasn't just there. 7 first-team players were missing so it was always gon' be difficult for the team to string passes together. Anyways, its one cup less for Man Utd to worry about. |
Mixture of our old relics and good guys. Silvestre, Brown, O'shea and Heinze marshalled the defence. Richardson, David Jones, Fletcher and Ronaldo in the midfield. Smith and Rooney in attack with Kuzczazk in goal for United. The mistake Fergie made was the midfield for me. Scholes and Carrick should have been fielded to supply the passes to the attack. David Jones/Fletcher in the CMF weren't just stringing the killer passes but United played really well. It was just one of those nights when goals get so hard to get. Even Celtic got kicked out of the league cup in Scotland. United were the defending champions and twas high time another team keeps the cup. Lets concentrate on the Prem, FA and UEFA. The glorious team of 1999 never won a carling cup so why should this present crop of players make it a make or mar affair? Game on. |
debosky, I wont drag this with u if u didnt watch the match. Arsenal lost to Wigan(Prem team), Chelsea lost to Charlton(Prem team) but the fact is they still lost. Can u compare Charlton FC to the 2nd team of Chelsea last season? Please consider the fact Chelsea lost at HOME. Arsenal also lost to Wigan. Are the 2 teams comparable in anyway in terms of quality? Anyways, it ain't your fault, son. Its the Carling cup. I am sure u don't understand Carling cup and FA cup is about upsets. If losing against small teams in the lower division will keep us at the top of the Prem then i pray we lose many more games to smaller teams. I will rather United win the prem than Carling or the FA cup. Barca didnt win the league cup last season and Real Madrid didnt win it so why should we retain it? Even Celtic has been kicked out in Scotland this night so whats the fuss? Let Arsenal keep beating smaller teams and slip up on the table. We won the cup last season. Let some other team win it again this time. No one's going to say we won a shiiit cup like y'all said last february that Carling cup is a worthless cup. United will concentrate on the Prem, UEFA and maybe the FA cup. @ Kitaun, U are not even near to Kitstra let alone Kitstradamus. That was cheeky but u never came out to say Southend will win. U only said they would make us sweat which means u were sitting on the fence. That was cheeky. A very good performance from the United lads but the night was always going to be Southend's night. I saw some glorious saves by their goalie and i knew it wasnt going to be our night. United is still the best team in the country as of today and i always say it that United will lose against Enyimba or 3SC but will destroy teams like Bolton or Portsmouth. The next 3 teams that are facing United will suffer the wrath, trust me. |
@ debosky, I am sure u only saw the results, u didnt watch the match. The result wasn't exactly the true reflection of the match but i am still going to say no excuses. United did enough to win the game but twas one of em nights---------still no excuses. A performance like ours against top teams would have produced at least 6 goals for United. Southend's keeper took matters into his own hands and made some outstanding saves. I cannot really blame anyone. The goal they scored was a set-piece and was a sublime shot. Ronaldo had his chances too. I could count 4-5 shots on goal from Ronaldo alone but the ball just refused to sail in the net. Some penalty claims here n there for Wazza but the ref declined it afterall we were playing against a weaker team. It's just a swirl, United should now concentrate on the league. Chelsea also had the same spell last season and that's why cup-ties are exciting. |
No excuses. Southend FC deserved the victory especially with their Goalie's heroics. He made some wonderful saves that will make Van Der Sar green with envy. Too bad, United had to be eliminated but i was happy with the lad's display except the usual culprits. I hope it won't take Fergie years to learn that Silvestre, O'Shea and Fletcher cannot play together. No passion, no pace, no vision. Just buncha Gambian turkeys. Shhit teams get results against United because Fergie loves playing disaparate elements together in cup ties. Its a swirl but thats what cup ties are all about. Chelsea as defending champions also went out at this stage last season so no fuss. It gives us the hunger to concentrate on the Prem, UEFA and FA cup. I wish Southend FC the best of luck. UP UNITED. @ PDF, Southend's goalie kept his goal really well and prevented what could have resulted in the 6 goals. Ronaldo really peppered his goal but he wouldn't budge and made some daring saves. It was a good game for United but it was one of those nights that we couldn't just get the kizzack right. Decent attempts were made but it just wasn't gonna be United's day. |
@ Kitaun, Southend? Spoilers? A team that has slumped to the foot of their division after a 12-game winless run. United will tear 'em apart because my boys are in a devastating mood. The Red Devils have smelt blood and will go for the kill. Don't be surprised to see United scoring 6 times at Southend. |
Ferguson knows he cannot afford any slip-ups now. Teams like Southend FC are always enthusiastic about playing big teams and they always wanna give 120% in front of their fans. Ferguson took the dream team to Southend and expect to see the similar side that demolished Pompey. Fergie might give the lil' boys some run once United gets 3 goals in the 1st half. |
@ everyone, Graham Poll did blow his whistle some few seconds before Drogba headed the ball into the net. There was no way Graham Poll would have known if the ball was going to end up in the net and thats about that. I felt John Terry's 2nd yellow card was a bit harsh but he has been getting away with murders in the past. Spurs were better on the day and it takes loads of character to claw back and win against CHELSEA. The lads worked their socks off and they got a deserving victory. Jose Mourinho praised Spurs for their performance and criticised Graham Poll heavily for spoiling the show. I think he was just frustrated they lost in a match they could have won easily. |
Of course, u are. I saw u smiling in ma crystal ball while reading ma posts. ![]() Don't deny it. |
The most entertaining team in the Prem, no doubt. A team that refused to play boring and negative football irrespective of the opposition. ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK is what the fans what and in Rooney n Ronaldo the team never disappoints the fans. 26 goals scored in 11 Premiership games. 13 goals scored both home and away and just 5 goals conceeded since the start of the Premiership is a result to be proud of. No RVN but over 10 different outfield players have scored and the goals are being shared throughout the team. The match everyone wants to see now is Man Utd V Chelsea. I pray United have all the first teamers in good health by the 26th of November. United's best 11 is capable of beating Chelski's best 11, there's no doubt about that. Injuries to Giggsy or Saha or Scholes can make a huge difference cos each entity must play together like a unit. UP MAN UTD. |
@ Mukina2, I am glad u are enjoying this. It makes me happy when i rub shit on wankster's faces. Take a look at this self-servicer throwing darts at me-------------------- He's got a better chance having a head-lock with a full grown Gorilla than coming against me. I will hit him so hard with the impact of an elephant's weight. |
![]() Stereotypes of Gunners always leave me bemused, How can Kitaun and Lordi allow a semi-illiterate like Marlet be a self-acclaimed gunner? This dim-wits cannot write and read very well. Which school did u graduate from? An informal school i guess. Quit the yappin, u slowpoke. My ass alone is smarter than the whole u so behave yourself. I can sting the living daylights out of u without breaking a film of sweat. U r nothing but a useless human being. Son of a thousand fathers. ![]() |
