@ JACKMODU,

What did u say?
Please re-modify your post before i descend heavily on u.

Chelski should be ashamed of itself.
Drogba had no shots on goal, Shevchenko had 2 shots but he shot outside the arena.
Thats 54 million pounds waste on the most useless strike force in history.

Give Alex Ferguson or Arsene Wenger that Chelski team and they will WIN the league in November.
Have u heard Mourinho is about splashing another 22 million pounds on David Villa?
An eviction noticed has been sent to Shevchenko----what a waste of space?
A team comprising of Ballack, Shevchenko, Drogba, Terry, Geremi, Lampard and the likes should be killing teams off.
U came to OT and u played ZILCH for 45 mins.

Mourinho had to move Essien to the right back for his ineffectiveness.
Lampard and Ballack were outwitted by who? Scholes(grandpa) and Carrick(a turkey)
Gabriel Heinze and Vidic stood tall and reduced the threats of Didier Drogba(Chelsea's hitman) to a nonentity.

@ Justkunmi,

Why do u always believe what u read on blogs and stuffs?
Ferguson will NEVER, i repeat, NEVER buy Jermaine Defoe.
Jermaine Defoe strugglin to get a first team shirt at Tottenham where Berbatov, Keane and Mido are the big gunz.
Please its even a disgrace to Man Utd when u start mentioning heads like Defoe in Man Utd.

United is looking outwards.
Torres/Huntelaar are more realistic that Defoe.
One of these days u will hear Fergie wants to sign Peter Crouch or Thierry Henry.
Those bollocks are just unsubstantiated rumours.
Defoe is too feeble to wear a United shirt.
End of story!!!!!!!!!

I have passed my comments on it already.
If that was a commercial ad, people will argue it was computer-enhanced.
That goal alone is enough to win him the world footballer of the year.

Valdes(Barca Goalie) stated Ronaldinho scored a similar goal against him in training one evening.
He confessed he felt stupid for days for conceeding that kinda goal in training.
How do u begin to analyse what was going through his head when he made that move.

THOU SHALL NOT BEEF, Ronaldino is the best player in the world.

We need a foreign coach.
No Nigerian manager is good enough in man management.

No foreign coach, no sucess
Thats about it.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Drogba: I'm Better Than Thiery Henry by Jackal(m): 10:04am On Nov 28, 2006
@ Obaman,

Henry shot himself down in the final of the UEFA champions league.
That was the big stage he needed to have showcased his talent but his performances that night was awful.
To be frank, Henry was the architect of the loss to Arsenal.

Besides, these awards are not based on the individual skills alone, they also look at the contribution towards one's team.
How your quality and individual brilliance has been able to influence your team into winning trophies.
Henry's contribution to the French team was over-shadowed by Zidane and Lehmann was the main star at the UEFA champions league.
Lehmann kept Arsenal in that competition and his sending off was a big blow to Arsenal in the final.

Cannavaro on the other hand has been brilliant. He is a defender so i cannot really compare him to Henry.
He kept Juventus defence tight throughout last season. He was their best player by miles when they fell to Arsenal @ Highbury.
Fabio was also the main man at the World Cup. He was exceptional from matchday1 till the finals without a blip.
His contribution to his team kept his team alive with several clean sheets to spare.
He also had a World Cup medal and Scudetto title under his belt.
If i may remember, Henry did not win anything this year.
He lost in the 2 finals he played and that was where he slipped.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Drogba: I'm Better Than Thiery Henry by Jackal(m): 11:51pm On Nov 27, 2006
Hey kids,
Don't pollute this thread with cheap insults.
Lets reason more like real soccer analysts.

So far this season, Drogba is on top of his game and he has a right to boast he is better than Henry.
Overall, Drogba is still a toddler and he will learn a lot from Henry if he can keep his foul-mouth shut.
Its too early for him to start saying he is better than anyone.

The EPL golden boot is not won in November.
There's still a long way to go and Drogba should be castrated for even making such a malicious statement.
He once said he was better than Samuel Etoo-so lets just assume Drogba is mentally deranged.
Kanu, Rooney, Saha are chasing him so he should rather let his football do the talking.
As a matter of fact, Drogba was anonymous in yesterday's big game and this is where one expect him to show his class.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 11:44pm On Nov 27, 2006
@ Tosinadeda,
Take the heat, dude.
I took more than this when Arsenal stole a victory at OT.
So stick with it.
The HEAT will stop if Arsenal wins their next game.

I am not happy Arsenal aint winning as well.
As a matter of fact, we stopped their UN-winning run when we allowed em grab 3 points at OT.
Besides, Arsenal's recent blip has greatly reduced the population of this sports thread.
Nightrider, SirKay, Vieira, Priscilla, Skintite, Lordimpaq have been missing because Arsenal refused to win games.
Can u beat that? grin

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manutd Vs Chelsea (battle Of Old Trafford) by Jackal(m): 9:13pm On Nov 27, 2006
Crazykid,

Sssup homie,
Where the heck have u been?
United had all the chances to wrap that game up especially in the 2nd half.
The attack didn't do enough and most of Giggsy's crosses werent perfect.

Ashley Cole had countless erections for Ronaldo and he chased him everywhere.
I have to say Cole did remarkably well and i laughed when he was telling Ronaldo "I WILL ALWAYS KEEP U IN MY POCKET"
The main battle was Vidic versus Drogba. Vidic gave Drogba hell all through the match and the gorilla had to resort to deliberate elbows and arm swinging.
I still dunno how Drogba escaped a red card in that match. He was even tugging on Rooney's shirt when the young lad out-paced him.
Sheva and Ballack were minuses on the pitch. Too old to cope with the pace of the game.
Essien was absent till he was sent to the right back. What a shame?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 8:55pm On Nov 27, 2006
@ nuggard,

JS Park Solskjaer and Rossi were greatly missed.
That was where we slipped in the match.
United didnt have the personnel to change the course of the match.

A'least we have proven we can match Chelsea despite their mercenaries.
Abrahamovic will be doing his calculations whether Ballack and Sheva's inclusion can land 'em any title this season.
Ferguson signed just one player and we looked good enough to challenge Chelski that bought from all corners of the world.

Shame on Chelski.
Its pay-back time and Chelski will chase and chase till we grab the title next season.
Lets show 'em Russian knuckle-heads what we are really made up of.
Sam Allardyce will do us a favour by robbing em some points and thats where the gap widens.
Arsene Wenger is the only bitch that will let Chelsea get easy points.
He will certainly field Senderos again now that Gallas might not be available and Gay-Drogba will get anutha hatrick.
As a matter of fact, Wenger is a cunt. grin
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 9:33am On Nov 27, 2006
Drogba is a bitch.
Moaning all day like a cheap LovePeddler.
Vidic gave him a horrid time and i can tell u Drogba had no joy throughout the match.
United is not Liverpool or Arsenal where he can boss Senderos.

Jose Mourinho knws his team didn't really play well last night.
Chelsea tried to delay and stop United from scoring a winner.
Mourinho substituted Ballack for Carvalho in the added minutes. Why all that?

I still maintain United's strength in-depth was their greatest undoing.
There was no good player on the bench.
When Jose turned things around for his team, Fergie knew what to do to neutralise the changes BUT there was no personnel on the bench to change things around.
If we had Solskjaer, JS Park and maybe Rossi on the bench, United wld have nicked a win.
I am positive about that.
When Ronaldo and Saha were substituted who came in for 'em? Bloody Fletcher and the Gambian Turkey(O'Shea)
Can those players make any meaningful threat to Chelsea's defence? Nah.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manutd Vs Chelsea (battle Of Old Trafford) by Jackal(m): 9:13am On Nov 27, 2006
@ christino,

Your views/analysis is myopic.
Getting 1 point in 2 HOME matches is poor management?
Thumping Bolton away is what?
We all saw what happened to the Gunners at the reebok stadium.
Lets see how Chelski copes on wednesday.

How many teams can match United's feat this season.
Chelsea has lost 2 matches, Arsenal has lost 3 and United has only lost once.
If u think that is poor management then u need to either get a SHRINK or get a dictionary.
A United team that stopped an all-star team like Chelsea.
What did Ballack, Lampard, Shevchenko and Drogba contributed in the match? ZILCH and almost anonymous.

Overall, i think United edged it.
Chelsea came out smokin in the 2nd half cos they had the in-depth.
United's 1st XI is better than Chelsea's and thats a fact whether u knuckle-heads accept or not.
Title going to the bridge? Try title going to the Emirates.
Buncha schmuks.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 8:55am On Nov 27, 2006
Chelsea were able to swarm cos they had the bench to do it.
United lacked this luxury but can u tell me how many clear-cut chances Chelsea had with their swarming.
They were restricted to long range shots.

Shevchenko and Drogba were not in the game.
Scholes and Carrick bossed the midfield, Essien was missing throughout the 1st half(i cant remember him kicking the ball for the 1st 45 mins).
He only resurfaced when he was moved to right-back. It shows how weak Chelski's midfield was last night.

United should have wrapped the game up.
The ref allowed Chelsea to get away with so many murders.
Drogba and Carvalho were just throwing elbows on every United player. Didier Drogba was tugging at Wazza's shirt in the box and so many atrocities were allowed on the pitch.

Chelsea has lost it.
They still have to contend with Arsenal and Bolton in few days.
Lets see how they perform in those matches but i still re-instate the title is coming to OT.
United shook the champions and Louis Saha's own-goal gave Chelsea a life line in the match.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 7:42am On Nov 27, 2006
Saha made the day and also ruined it.

He scored a great individual effort.
A clinical finish that made Terry and Carvalho looked like wimps.

On the other hand, Saha scored the goal for Chelsea.
Van Der Sar could have punched/parried Carvalho's effort away but Saha got in the way and deflected the ball into the net.
Saha was also guilty of blocking Scholesy's goal-bound effort when he was scrawling on the pitch.

I think a draw was a fair result but United would feel hard done by.
United controlled the game in the 1st 45 minutes and had the chance to kill the game off but luck was not on their side.
Chelsea changed things around in the 2nd half by moving Essien to the right-back position and bringing Arjen Robben in.
The tactics worked and United had no personnel on the bench to neutralise the effects and Fergie got punished.

Carrick played the game of his life. Little wonder he won the MOTM.
Gabriel Heinze also confirmed his class and his tackles and roughness helped a lot.
Vidic and Ferdinand also did a marvellous job and Drogba + Sheva deadly combo was snuffed out.
Ronaldo has to be the most talented player on the pitch. He was incisive and was taking defenders apart with his mesmerising runs.
Chelsea couldnt cope and they resorted into tackles after tackles.

The title is going to OT this season, no doubt.
Ferguson needs to buy 2 quality midfielders and maybe 2 strikers in January.
This United's team has just proven they are the best in the league despite Chelsea's multi-million pound mercenaries.
UP UNITED.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 5:57pm On Nov 26, 2006
SAHA, I forgive u.
That was a clinical finish.
Somebody should please check SAHA for steroids.
Where did u get the guts to crack that kinda shot?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Barcelona Fans Thread by Jackal(m): 3:46pm On Nov 26, 2006
He scored a wonderful goal.
I don't think Zizou with all his brilliance can score that kinda goal.
This is the best individual effort i have ever seen in a football match since Honest Abe signed the paper that freed slaves.

Ronaldinho should win the world player awards again this year.
No controversy, he is a wizard and still has many more years to fulfil his dreams.
He is La Liga's highest goal scorer and u cannot overlook his immense contributions to the team.
DINHO all the way.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 3:35pm On Nov 26, 2006
The biggest match of the season so far is minutes away from kick-off.
My palms are sweaty, knees are weak and ma arms are heavy.
Can United stun the Roman Army at Old Trafford?
On balance, i think United can do a 2-0 margin but the midfield has to concentrate.
Vida and Ferdinand must focus and try to stop Drogba and Sheva.

Saha must do better than the Celtic game.
Wazza, United has just increased your wages from 55k to 100k per week so u need to prove that increase by making a difference.
Ronaldo? I have never had any doubts about u. You are born to do it.
Giggsy and Scholes? Old guards, please wrestle the midfield away from Uncle Claude and Gorilla Essien.
C'MON RED DEVILS--------------------------BE WHAT U CAN BE.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Drogba: I'm Better Than Thiery Henry by Jackal(m): 3:13pm On Nov 26, 2006
I think Drogba is right.
He based the comparisons on this SEASON alone, and to be frank, i think Drogba has over-shadowed Teary Hurry.
Even Kanu Nwankwo has played better than Henry this season.
End of story.

@ Kitaun,

Drogba was right with his comments.
He simply said he has been better than Thierry Henry THIS SEASON.
He has based the comparison on this season and i think he is right to say he is better than HENRY this season.
Even Kanu has been better than Henry so far this season. wink
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Jackal(m): 10:34am On Nov 26, 2006
Arsenal should forget about the title race.
Arsene Wenger himself has given up on the title and its a very sad story that Liverpool and Arsenal are out after just 14 weeks.
I wonder how it feels for the fans especially when there are more tougher matches lined up next month for Arsenal.

What pained me the most was Arsenal going to Bolton to play 4-5-1 formation.
Thats negative and Wenger should be blamed for his stupidity and disgraceful man management.
Why can't the gay gaffer just play 4-4-2 and take the game to Bolton.

I told some heads on this Sports forum that the 3 points United got from Bolton was indeed 6 points.
Only few teams can go to that stadium and get points and this was a stadium United scored 4 unreplied goals.
Matter of factly, Man United deserves some RESPECT especially from y'all fake gunners.
Keep licking your wounds as United will compound your problems by thrashing Chelsea later today.

Nicholas Anelka, an ex-gunner, has gunned Arsenal's title ambitions down.
He has now scored 5 times in 7 games against Arsenal.
How's that for a gratitude to the team that introduced him into the Premiership.
Anelka, Arsene Wenger won't forgive you on this one.
He already moaned Anelka was offside when he scored the 3rd goal but there was no shade of light between Anelka and Kolo Toure.
Wenger, are u colour blind or just suffering from Astimagtism? grin grin grin grin grin

Ronaldinho is better than Zizou.
He is yet to win his 3rd player of the year award.
Dinho has won the world cup, Confed cup, Copa America, Champions League, La Liga etc.
What else has he not won?

Dinho scored a beauty last night, a goal Zizou will and can never score.
Every sports channel has been beaming the goal since last night and this GOAL should remind FIFA that Dinho has no match in world football.
Dinho is the man and he still has many more years to be far greater than any footballer in his generation.

Nairaland will be quiet for weeks now because of this loss and thats my greatest worry.

RONALDINHO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gaucho has just scored the goal of this century.
Oh my God, FIFA are u watching?
This goal alone sets Ronaldinho apart from all other players in the world.

This is definitely the most audacious goal ever scored on TV.
The chest control, the delicate turn and the over-head kick------------------SENSATIONAL.
I think all the football fans in the world in general should count 'emselves lucky to have witnessed Ronaldinho.
He might be the last great player we would ever see.

Dinho all the way.
No controversy, you're the best.
Take a bow, son!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Strictly Arsenal: by Jackal(m): 9:53pm On Nov 25, 2006
No time for recriminations.
Wenger jas just proven he is the biggest idiot in man management.
Lets face it, Adebayor as a spear-head in a 4-5-1 formation can NEVER work out.

Thierry Henry makes it look easy but Adebayor in that role is a round peg in a square hole.
Wenger shld have deployed the 4-4-2 formation.
Take the game to Bolton, force em into errors, make incisive passes and get the early goal.

More trouble awaits Arsenal as they play a new-improved Spurs and Chelski.
Something needs to be done urgently cos Arsenal might trail 21 points before January.
Wenger has lost the plot and its time he takes his bad luck outta North London.

Bolton 3-1 Arsenal.( my weekend is almost complete)

They were the most vocal on this issue,

United is on a different level, we are not bloody muppets like Arsenal who cannot score to make Loyika's day. grin
