@ A-40,

God bless you.

2002 World cup will always be noted as the worst in terms of quality and disappointments.
The only big team Brazil played was Germany(in the final). Brazil met Turkey(TWICE), Costa, Rica, China, and Belgium.
When u have a competition that allowed TURKEY and Korea to play in the S/finals then you know the world cup was shambolic.
Germany is not what it used to be again after England raped em in 5-1 in 2001. grin cheesy
SportsRe: England Defender Rio Ferdinand Made A Chief In Nigeria by Jackal(m): 7:48pm On Jun 16, 2008
And where was Podolski and Klose when Rio was lifting the big ears in Moscow?
They were busy milking cows in Berlin.
Buncha pathetic players. When a spastic goalie like Lehmann stands between the posts for a team, then something is very wrong!
SportsRe: European Nations Cup 2008 Discussion Thread by Jackal(m): 7:41pm On Jun 16, 2008
This Dayokanu will never change with his shallow mentality.
England is not around and reh reh reh. . . . what has Germany done in the tournament?
They have been so disappointing. Croatia tamed em and made em look like poofs.

When was the last time any German club played in the finals of UCL?
Even Bayern Munich were humbled by a Russian club? It's pathetic.
Shit country, shit managers, shit people, shit fans.
Dig out ur head from ur ass, poofie!!!

Argentina thrashed a woeful Serbia and Montenegro not Italy and France. The best form of defence is attack and when you look at Robben and RVP on the bench you begin to wonder.[/quote]Woeful Serbia n Montenegro? A team that qualified for the world cup conceding just 1 goal in more than 12 qualifying games was woeful?
Blimey. . . . . . U guys make me laugh.
Anyways, i would be waiting to see your excuses if the Dutch team gets beaten.

Beautiful!
Ricardo Quaresma has lost his mojo. He can never be a Cristiano Ronaldo or Leo Messi.
As at 2000 till 2003, he was the real deal. Many pundits tipped him to be the next Figo but his spell at Barcelona kind of dented his confidence.
He can never replicate the same form he had between 2000-2003. In the next few years, Nani will catch up with him and leave him where he is.

Ricardo Quaresma is anutha Sinima Pongolle or Javier Saviola who all had brilliant potentials but failed to fully utilise their talents.
Jeez. . . . .Quaresma winning the Portugese footballer of the year is because Portugal(since 2001) only recognise footie players plying their trade inside Portugal.  It has nuthing to do with his ability.
He could have been anything he wanted to be. . . . bad man-management finished him.
I would rather have Nani @ OT than Quaresma. cheesy grin

jackal,

that remains to be seen.
My wealth of experience in competitions like this have told me early bloomers like this always come short in the knock-out stages.
A freaky goal against em will really test their mental strength and discipline. I wouldn't be bovvered if they have had to claw back victories like Turkey did last night.

Argentina had the same boost of energy at the last world cup. Beating teams up and down cos they always got the 1st decisive goal.
When the crunch time came, they got leggy and couldn't deliver when it mattered the most.
Anyways, letz wait and see.

so what if the dutch impressed too early?

the dutch are playing great football. for the fact that they rained goals on the french immediately after henry's goal tells u that they are a team with character.

they knew the worst could happen after henry scored, and what did they do? they got scared and wary and upped their game and destroyed france.

the oranje boys are just too mean.the only team i see beating them is portugal. but they have van der Sar who can always help them.
Have u thunk of what would happen if the Dutch are chasing a game?
Can they maintain their discipline at the back if they are losing by a goal or two?

@ Loyika,

I was chuffed to bits on Saturday night when Kells was cleared of those charges.
Truly speaking, those pictures might have been computer generated. Heard the guy in the sextape had a huge mole on his butt which Kells never heard.
The defense lawyer played a masterstroke by generating 2 headless couple shagging on a videotape too and reports said they even taunted the Judge they could have put his head on the bodies to make it appear the Judge was the one humping away. grin cheesy
Guilty or not guilty?? I think he was NOT guilty.

How can it be bad for y'all GAYnners when the FA is still using David Dein's software??
By the time United come back from Tokyo in December, Arsenal will be leading 15 points as usual.
Ferguson needs a big squad to fight this time around.  Just peeped Chelsea's fixtures too, they don't look too comfortable as well.
Chelsea will play Pompey, Tottenham, Man City and Man Utd in their FIRST 6 games. . . . .That's HEAVY!!!!
Only the GAYnners play the newly-promoted teams in August. . . . .It's fuckery.

@ tkb417,

Don't be too sure of Holland, Spain and Portugal.
I still think the Dutch side have peaked TOO EARLY in thos tournament to be considered favourites.
Same thing happened to Argentina and when it got to the crunch, they lost the gas to fire on.
Sides that improve considerably as the tournament wears on are always the most DANGEORUS.
Write off Italy, Germany and France at your own peril. . . . . Italy and Germany are the best at starting slow and finishing superbly.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 11:04am On Jun 16, 2008
@ Loyika,

I believe David Dein designed the software used by the FA to generate these fixtures.
Arsenal's run of tough matches are in May(when they might have even taken the title) with stupid matches to spare.
The momentum is the key. I hate it when Man Utd have to claw back and always playing catch up.
We have the SUPPERCUP to deal with in August and the WORLD CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS in Tokyo in early December. This is bad news!!!!

Most of United's players want to feature in the Olympics(Nani, Anderson, JS Park, Manucho{not so sure}).
Are we sure we can have everyone back in full fitness when we face Liverpool and Chelsea away in a space of 7 days?
This is just pure nonsense. I hope the FA make adjustments and they still have to consider TV stuffs n reh reh reh.
We cannot play back to back AWAY games with Scousers and Liverpool.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 10:44am On Jun 16, 2008
@ Loyika,

Go and drink some La Casera.
Why are u here early this morning rumbling in the United zone?
What do u think we did with our guns? U think we sold em all? grin grin grin grin grin

Anyways, The FA have started their fuckeries again.
Someone asked me why they let Ferguson and CQ get away with their comments, . . I said it's because the FA wants to punish em in anutha way.
Alas, the punishment. . . .  . .

United's fixtures is like the world cup for 2008/09.

August 10  Man Utd Vs Portsmouth (Charity Shield)

August 16  Man Utd Vs Newcastle

August 23  Portsmouth Vs Man Utd  shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked

August 30  Man Utd Vs Fulham

Sep 13       Liverpool Vs Man Utd   shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked

Sep 20       Chelsea Vs Man Utd.   shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked

Arsenal and Chelsea are at it again bribing the FA to get easier run of matches.
How can a team play 2 back to back GRANDSLAM games AWAY from home in a space of 7 days? cry cry cry cry
This must be tough for Fergie. . . . I hope some matches will be moved cos of SUPERCUP in Monaco. grin cheesy
