Your limbs evolved from limb buds. Your brain from neural tubes. Nope. Your parents weren't conscious of such processes. All your dad had to do was ejaculate and release his semen. From when there was fusion of the cells to blastocyst to morula stages, etc. Your dads sperm determined your sex since it was a Y bearing spermatozoa that fertilized your moms ovum bearing the default X. All these happened in your mum without her knowledge or consent. Its automatic. Now if there are viruses interfering with these processes, they can miscode and produce abnormal limbs or if abnormal brain or heart, the fetus dies. This is how miscarriages occur.
