Politics › Re: Why Is The Federal Govt Killing Tinapa? by jaguda(m): 9:51am On Dec 30, 2009
@ Kobojunkie, have u been to Tinapa? Do not understand what you are saying? are u saying the Duke Admin. was wrong to embark on the project or that it is okay for Imoke govt to abandon the project? or u fail to see the big picture for Calabar, as a tourist/shopping destination? Do you even have an inkling about the idea behind Tinapa/Carnival/tourism project? or must u comment on every thread for the sake of hearing yourself?
Celebrities › Re: Your Best And Worst Nigerian Comedian? by jaguda(m): 9:44am On Dec 30, 2009
Some people think that by abusing others, they put their points across, i beg to disagree. Good or bad, a comedian gets to his/her audience. No job is easy. it takes practice, resourcefulness, communication to get the message across. We always criticize from the crowd, go stand in front of the crowd. the initiator of this thread has an axe to grind with a certain comedian and is just researching for materials.

Politics › Re: Why Is The Federal Govt Killing Tinapa? by jaguda(m): 4:12pm On Jul 24, 2009
yes, Olutoye, both are projects of the duke regime. are u saying the carnival was not well thought out too before initiation? D state govt has neglected TINAPA project while FGN has refused to imolement the EPZ status of the area. A clear case of lack of continuity in governance.
Politics › Federal Character - Yar' Adua Style by jaguda(op): 4:17pm On Jul 23, 2009
Is the present administration of Umaru Musa Yar' Adua reflecting the Federal character in his appointments? Key ministries are being given to Northerners and the south is not protesting. Under the OBJ, the north were crying marginalization in appointments into key positions up to the extent they said Victor Malu is not from the North but Middle belt, why is no one saying anything about Yar' Adua appointments?
Politics › Re: Why Is The Federal Govt Killing Tinapa? by jaguda(m): 3:54pm On Jul 23, 2009
Who amongst us has visited TINAPA? cos from the arguments above, u guys are arguing from the position of hear say, reports or pictures. the TINAPA project by the Duke is administration is huge, just like the now annual CALABAR CARNIVAL.

First of all, Calabar is a designated EPZ area (Export Processing Zone) a supposedly tax free haven. It was so named in the early 90s beforee i went to Calabar for my undergraduate studies and till today, t has not taken off. If Calabar is an EPZ area with companies operating in the zone, then it is only logical that TINAPA will boost the economic activities of the companies and even the surrounding states.

2. FGN has deliberately kept quiet over the decay of other sea ports in the country apart from those in Lagos. Inne is another free trade zone with its own port, what do we have there? skeletal services. What about the ports at Warri, Koko, Sapele, Port Harcourt? they are all dry and deserted, yet the FGN keeps and pays staff salaries to so-called NPA workers in the ports. Sea ports are not under the control of the states, but under Federal control, so if FGN wants to diversify, they can do it.
Becomrich:
Nobody is killing tinapa. The project is not an economy viable project. How many business would leave lagos and go start a business in a place with less people. Olokola is the most viable economy problem after lagos because of location.
Are u telling us that Lagos is the only commercially viable place in Naija? Do businesses have to Lagos before they can have an office in TINAPA? wat myopic thinking, ur thoughts are reflective of present day Nigeria, quick fixes.

between Ezeagu & Kobojunkie, ur rantings wear us down. if the TINAPA was not well thought of before execution, can same be said about the carnival, cos both came out from the same administration. Me thinks TINAPA problems can be traced to both CURRENT administrations of Liyel Imoke and Yar' adua. Liyel has done literally nothing to further the TINAPA concept both in completing the project or making it operational and Yar' adua is just indiferent.

I wonder wat would have been the fate of TINAPA if Duke had built it for himself?
Celebrities › Re: Your Best And Worst Nigerian Comedian? by jaguda(m): 3:13pm On Jul 23, 2009

Nigerians are comdeians. just comedians but pls do not disrespect Alibaba, if u can't stand his jokes, stay away from his shows. He started this trend of taking comedians seriously.

I have read all the reply and they are good advice, but to me while u are fighting for ur right, seek for job else where. because even if they take u back, u will not b happy working wit that bank. So to me forget that bank and look for another one.
he needs to have a valid reason for leaving the bank to another one. see, banks do not want to employ workers sacked from other banks. if this bank is not retaining him, they should open up to him and tell him, let him know if he where he stands.

if u ask me of banks, u would probably get the worst of answers from me. Seek audience with the HR, but if they are not forthcoming, see a lawyer, SEBI WE DEY ASK," WETIN LAWYERS DEY DO SEF", now is d time to know.
oluwdashmi:
I read thru your ordeal with sympathy but first I want you to thank God for sparing your life.

Secondly, pls move on with your life cos going to the court is like wasting a whole lot of your time which would have been used in doing something more tangible for yourself. If you take your employers to court, I bet you will be on the case when several other jobs and ideas would have come and gone in vain and you might eventually give up or loss cos of bribery and corruption.

Take a better step further and you will be in the place where you will be appreciated. Remember that if you had died in that accident, you will not be thinking of going back to work or dragging your employers to court.
reactions like just described is the reason we are where we are as a country. so he turns away and who rights dis wrong? God? He is alive, so fight your battles. Banks are public corporations and do not want to be perceived discriminatory, so go to courts. We should learn to fight our battles, be it courts or national lives.

question:
So be careful how you handle the issue so that it would not cause you more troubles.
If your story is true that means you and the Nigerian Bank may soon be made public. Are you ready for the publicity?
Well, hope for the best and be prepared for the worst

GOODLUCK!
well sed. get ready.

Politics › Re: Has Anybody Considered Ojo Madueke For President. by jaguda(m): 1:50pm On Mar 05, 2009
Come on guys, issues like this need to be approached squarely. the poster is not testing the waters for Maduekwe, ok. Ojo is not the right man for the job. He is a over recycled politician with nothing to offer. Rilwanu Luqman is Nigeria's number one. most experienced oil technocrat with enormous experience, and administrations still shuffle him back on us, what new angle has he brought in, subsidy removal? dose were OBJ's reasons for price increase. oil sector reforms, nothing to show for it. @ 70, he is returned again. Me thinks Ojo is on the same path, politically relevant to the party but not to the country.

fesse:
when yar'dua reshuffle his cabinet, it is only Ojo that is still holding his original portfolio. One thing with Nigerian people is that they never considers good and competent persons. They need peoplelike David Mark, Atiku, Obasanjo etc, so that they will enrich their pockets illegally.
@knowall, how many ministers are competent and active in their various ministries? Lets consider and appreciate what is right at least for once. The guy is fit, capable and competent to handle the post of a president if given but since Nigeria politics is full of evil minded people, he might not make it.
Did Yar 'Adua tell you the criteria for dropping Ministers, cos he didn't tell me. How different is Maduekwe from Mark, Atiku and OBJ? have u checked his assets? and to cap it, Maduekwe can make it to the Presidency because he is evil minded too and devious as the average politician.
ayobase:
thats tight man!!

So everyone 4 Madueke!
COUNT ME OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
dipsyn:
@tpia, am amazed at your defination of intelligence, because he knows ow to manipulate his way thru all governance, let me list some people I count as Intelligent people like Gani (san), Oshiomole (present edo state gov), Wole Soyinka, etc these are people that at one point in their lives have stood for good not a green snake under a green grass like Ojo. please don't be gullible by the book cover lets c what the content has, thats what am askin for. If he as being in Government for so long I presume his list of acheivment is meant to showcase that?
thank you. What has Ojo Maduekwe achieved in all these years in govt? tell the house.

@ Jaguda
you make much sense because you are not biased like some people calling me "ode" because I have a better taste and like I have said its my opinion and I'm entitled to it.
I dont act. I'm an upcoming film maker. I'm presently studying film making in South Africa. I have done some stuff with no money and I can provide you links to them. what I have sone with no money is still better (technically) than what i see in Jenifa and that makes me mad. If I was told Jenifa is another nigerian film i wasnt going to watch it but there was so much noise about it and I took pain to watch the film only to hate myself for wasting my time for that. I was looking for a nigerian film that i could be proud of and tell my foreigner friends who thinks nollywood makes only bad films. thats why i drove 20km to go get the film and find out i have wasted my money and time.
I was surprised to know that people have lost their visual sense and they give kudos to film bad. It gives me concern cos I felt that nollywood is lowering people standard and if we are not careful we wont even know whats good again.

I dont get paid for watching film as a critic cos its not my job. I'm a cinematographer.

AGAIN, THIS TREAD IS FOR JAGUDA. IF YOU ARE NOT OBJECTIVE IN YOUR REPLY DONT TALK TO ME. I WANT TO TALK TO SENSIBLE PEOPLE NOT BIASED FUNKE FAN WHO ONLY INSULT PEOPLE THAT ARE NOT HER FAN.

IM AN OBJECTIVE FILM CRITIC AND IM PROUD OF IT. grin grin grin grin
Wow, na now u dey talk, now i know y want break our head with film grammar, maybe i dey talk to the next Tunde Kelani/Eddie Ugbomah or our own Stephen Speilberg. do hurry cum house come do some stuff for nigerians make wey celebrate ooooooooo.
