God doesn't consult with the angels concerning any plans He has, He just makes decisions and gives them instructions to carry out. The angels weren't involved in the making of things in the beginning so God couldn't have been talking them but those involved which was His Word and His Spirit.

Hence son of God is for the creature not for the creator and the position is subject under the Godhead. The Logos is only helping man to achieve what he could never in his own ability.

This was God's destiny for Adam, to be a son of God/image of God.
