Kazrem: You have done that "I hardly pick calls, don't reply facebook PM" to me even though what I asked wasn't finance but I understand. BTW As you said earlier the major cause is actually the person probably he/she has been flaunting his "wealth". No vex my brother. Ignoring calls and not reading/checking PMs came to become a habit (a not-so-good one, I must admit) when I used it to curtail my spending. Now, I hardly even check Facebook PM. Not because of money again, but it has become a habit. |

persius555: Simply send multiple texts to everyone asking them to lend you 3,000 dollars, u go see as all of them go run leave u like say u carry ebola. Lol @ this strategy. Makes sense. I'm not so good at saying NO too. What I do is ignore. I hardly pick calls, don't reply facebook PM etc. As a young man that justed started working in Lagos years back, my father xmas disposition landed me in serious financial crisis. Now, other than my parents, a couple of siblings, family members once in a while, I no dey share money anyhow again o I don't even pick calls, as I know 90% of calls from certain people are to ask for money which I find difficult to turn down. This doesn't however mean I don't give. I actually do, probably more than an average person, but I've become very selective. I strongly believe "it took a whole village to raise a child" so that child must give back to the "village" (I.e family). As a student in school, I know how I also taxed my brothers and uncles. |

Almost every working person gets such demand, irrespective of where the person is. I get almost on daily basis.
And i haev a feeling you flaunt your "wealth" on facebook....such attracts more demand. |

gargoyle: Good day sir,
I must say that i am impressed by the way you have inspired students/graduates to strive for excellence in their education/career respectively. Only God can and will truly reward you accordingly.
But it seems that you only focus on finance and engineering careers. There are graduates of basic medical sciences like biology, chemistry, biochemistry, cell biology, physiology, microbiology etc with no intentions of becoming finance professionals but are also in need of career advice on how to progress and achieve success in the biomedical field.
They have been neglected in this country and being one of them, it trully can be traumatising.
I would sincerely appreciate if you can look into this sir.
Thank you Noted. Thanks. It's principally because i'm a finance person and other members of my team are either finance persons or enigineers, which make them our core areas of competence. |

Bluetooth2: Efcc that couldn't prosecute ibori, Efcc that couldn't get a good judgement against Lucky igbinedion, Efcc that presented a flawed case in which Maina who stole over 30 billion was asked to pay 750 000, Efcc that couldn't send Fani kayode to Jail, Efcc that made Aturu a free man after stealing billions and so many failed cases.
I support Buhari if he abadons EFCC and ICPC but should put a good machinery in place to recover those monies else people like Diezani will go scot free with all her loots. Bro, you still dey NL? Long time |

acidtalk: Jarus is the man.
My heart bleeds whenever I go on the internet and find our youths wasting their time and life on extremely irrelevant issues only to end up blaming the government at the twilight of their life.
I thought I could help the youths create some encouraging, motivational and lasting articles on nairaland but so sad they only manage to read that day and forget everything by evening.
Jarus has been so consistent with this is blog and career coaching for as long as I can remember.
Nigerian Youths: Not your Parent, Teacher, Employer or Government has the tool to make you great. Your Success or Failure is all determined by how you plan your life starting from today.
The owners of Facebook, Twitter, Instangram rake billions of dollars each year as profit whereas you waste each second of your life on those platforms all year round.
The gap between the rich and the poor will keep widening. Thanks. Interestingly, I never knew I had talent in career coaching. Nairaland brought it out of me. I was only innocently sharing my knowledge and experience based on my career on Nairaland career section, alongside the likes of Ajanlekoko. I never set out to be a career coach. Today, I have written a book, started a career startup with A 3-room office in Yaba, employed someone on full timebasis, coached more than 150 people for interviews of top companies in Nigeria, got invites on Channels TV, LTV, Ben TV UK, Rythm FM Abuja, organized events in Abuja, Lagos and Port Harcourt, all on careers. And i still have my day job. This is just my part time private practice. |

Not sure I ever saw anyone say it is justifiable, except the deluded murderers and terrorists themselves. |

Benjom: The vital information that your CV ought to include are as follows:
• Your Personal Details: Add your name, contact address, phone number, email address and professional social media contact (if you have any). If it’s a ‘Skill Based CV’, you may not need to include your date of birth, because of age discrimination concerns but for ‘Chronological of Functional CV’, this may be crucial.
• Personal Profile or Objective: This, in most cases, should align with the job you are applying for. It’s important that you include this. Try as much as possible to avoid the use of the personal pronoun ‘I’ and being vague. http://www.benjommediaoutfit.com/important-sections-of-a-cv/ I don't do objective. I prefer summary |

My point is, we are talking conviction here. When you're convinced of something, all those things you see as inconveniences will not mean anything to you. |

MosakuAW: Crime is very bad.
If you can do crime, you should be able to do the time.
Nigerians: I beg of you dont do crime, but if you want to do crime dont do crime in Arab nations or Asia countries.
They see Nigerians has gabbage, once you commit any silly crime they serve you long jail terms.
#Dont do crime. #Crime dont pay. Unfortunately, learnt today that one of my secondary school juniors has been caught in an Asian country for drug-related offence. I googled the name+drug and saw the news that it was indeed true. Friends now want me to use my little network in Nigerian government to see what we can do. I told them this one pass me, even if I be President's son, I cant do anything on this. |

ooshinibos: Am with you bruv , and I share your point of view , the threat I was referring is really depending on which country you live and which airport you are passing through . Obviously in the west there is a threat to Islam which have resulted in islamophobia , I noticed that most of the muslim cultural centres application for development have been rejected or slowed down while 10 years ago ,it was easy to build a mosque or Islamic centres , now things are being scrutinize deeply .I have a muslim name and I have experience issues at airports ....
In predominately muslim countries the threat is not there at all , but Muslims that live in the west know what go through on a daily basis , ..and that was my point That doesn't make it a "bad time" for anyone to convert to Islam. The conviction that will make anyone identify with a faith is stronger than airport inconveniences. If because of "airport inconveniences" or similar inconveniences, you refuse to identify with a faith you're convinced of, then the conviction is obviously not strong enough. I have a Muslim name and also pass through Western airports anyway. |

ooshinibos: if this news is true , adebayor this not the best time to become a muslim ...IS and boko haram have tainted the former peaceful religion call islam , every good muslim knows there religion is under threat because terrorist have hijacked Islam and have given it a bad name Is it then a co-incidence that despite the negative image of Islam in recent years, more and more people are converting to Islam? And even the rate the of conversion out of Islam is waning compared to years back? Such religion doesn't appear to be under threat. |
