Ethiopians will lose the match if..." whether they like or not |
eddiebruk: Enough reason to know that the whole thing was spiritual, and that those who died were used for sacrifice, he must have been paid and knew what was going to happen.Rubbish. We all innocently make comments like these from time to time. It's pure co-incidence. If I die today (God, i don't want to die now o), going through my last facebook or nairaland posts or sms to friends/family, you can easily find something to describe as 'premonitory'. |

scobaba: Castro....his mum promised to give us(his friends) job in good firms if we helped him keep his cool thru school, we tried, but Castro was way too rugged for the entire military force in enugu 2 handle. he was beheaded by rival frat in 2004.same Chevron roundabout I (and my wife) drive everyday? Wow, many landers want to meet Jarus. It's actually easy to meet me. I announce here a number of offline activities I participate (e.g Nairalanders iftaar, Jarushub Conference, doing business with some nairalanders, Nairaland Muslim back-to-school event). I have struck offline friendship with many people via Nairaland. Will also like to meet all the people that want to me. For others, I actually have a way of meeting (or linking offline) with anyy I want to meet. Odunnu, Ajanlekoko, Mukina, are examples of people I speak with on phone. Of course, oyb was my former colleague. |

Thank God for Islam. Half of the sermons are about death. Most mosques even have stretcher (abi wetin be the name) that they use to carry dead members. The imams are one of the first people that arrange the washing of the dead, praying over the dead, and burying. Frankly, this is one of the reasons I like islam. It readily acknowledges that the fact that no matter how devoted we are to God, there will be tribulations in terms of loss of things we covet (wealth, job, loved ones etc) and ultimately death. It just doesn't make sense to me that somebody will now preach only prosperity to me, that 'the low sides of life can never be his portion'. Fact of life is, there will be such things and Islam teaches how to handle such tribulations. Prosperity teaching snd shying away from it just doesn't make sense to me. I just pity people that fall for this deceit. |

He was the last speaker, and just did a general exhortation to Nigerian youths. |
infonubia: Most of us at some point have had encounters with Jehovah Witnesses. While some encounters are pleasant; you kindly tell them you aren't interested and they leave in peace, some aren't. If you tell them you are busy, like a salesperson, they try to reschedule. Some people get psycho |
Meanwhile, some of those thinga are actually fun, especially the hostels part. |

Hey there. I was in Ife 2001 - 2006. I wish you gusy teh best in Great Ife. |
We are becoming too insensitive. Personally, even if I don't like someone, I will never wish misfortune for such a person, and when one happens to someone I don't like, I'll never make a joke out of it. At worst, I keep quiet. I make jest of Patience Jonathan, for example, on the grammatical and protocol blunders, but I wished her well and waka pass during her illness. Same to other political figures. The limit of my dislike for a person (public figure) ends when personal misfortune sets. |
kkonsults: Beautiful...Thanks. Credit to my architect. |

OBJ and Gbenga are not best of friends (recall Gbenga accused him of sleeping with his wife), but no matter how bad your relationship with your son is, father will rremain father - strong natural affection for his children. |
gtrust: You mean he doesGod forbids, but you will not remember the cell number within 10 minutes of hearing such news, especially when the callers are people not known for joke in the first place. |
FreeGlobe: very flawed. Akpabio is faar rated than Fashola, Did I see Aregbesola? or are you trolling? This list is flawed and was viewed through the ethnic lens.Ethnic lens. I am Yoruba. Maybe you should do the % of Yoruba on the list and see who's the real bigot. You may also want to count the number of PDP guys there to know whether my opposition afiliation influenced my choices I've been to Osun, I saw Aregbe's works. No amount of blackmail can make me drop him. If you don't like him, say that. Not just saying he hasn't done anything when you have not been to his state. Simply because it is Aregbesola |
What's Akpabio's name doing on that list?
he may be a bad, divisive politician, but I give it to him, he did well in his state. I have been there. Uyo has the best raod networks in Nigeria, of all the about 20 states I have visited. Maybe only FCT has better roads. |
