I'm always surprised how people fail AAA and other auditing courses. For any ICAN candidate that works in a Finance/Accounting unit, I honestly don't think he needs to read before passing AAA. If he reads, he should be able to grab it at once. Auditing is usually the cheapest course for me. Before I moved to Tax, Tax used to be the most difficult for me. |
The new PITA is good for low to middle income earners. In my former place of work(early this year), my monthly PAYE reduced by 12k due to switch to amended PITA. In my new place, we started implementing the new PITA since February. It however takes much from the high income earners. The new Consolidated Relief Allowance is also cool. Altogether, I think it's good system for both government and the tax payers. It is also more straighforward. |
He lied to his boss that he wasn't feeling fine, but was updating his Facebook status every 30 mins, including 'Port Harcourt here I come' Forgetting his boss was among his FB friends ![]() |

Anywhere the Yak goes, teh Yak scores: Julius Berger(highest goal scorer, Nigerian League), Maccabi Haifa, Portsmouth, Middlesborough, Everton, Leicester, Blackburn and Guanghzou R&F. And 3rd all-time highest goal scorer for Nigerian national team. What more does he need to prove? |

In the energy sector, formality in dressing is to a great extent downplayed. It will however depend on who you're meeting with. If you're an executive and meeting with some bankers/financial consultants to strike a loan deal for instance, dressing formal in suits is clearly the appropriate. But if you're an oil executive or even officer in an oil and gas company and you are meeting some safety or environmental experts, wearing a jeans and shirt, branded or not, is not out of place. |
GTB Oando should not be under 'honourable mention' but right there in Top 10 |
By popular demand, we are settling for Sunday. Please note that attending Island edition doesn't preclude doing same for Mainland too. Insha Allah, I will be in both and I implore anybody that is chanced to attend both too. |

Where is Haboosa? He is good in the logistics aspect. He was very helpful in 2010 and 2011 editions. I co-sign Mac's points up there. |

BeraBera: Assalaamu alaikum to the Muslim brothers and sisters on Nairaland. I'm not one anyway, but one-love! @Jarus, pls you guys should also endeavour to preach about religious tolerance and love 4 one another during your Iftaar discussions, and suggest ways to end this boko-haram trouble in Nigeria. Live & let live! One love! Thanks. It's in the card already. Thanks. |
So are we saying that the Fulanis in Plateau state should be forcefully evacuated ? BS!!! This is one Nigeria. If the plateau state government are allowed to do this then other state government would want to follow suite and this is wrong in a united country. If the STF in Plateau carries this out then Kogi , Kwara , Ogun and Oyo would also want to forcefully evacuate the Fulanis that have been in their state for YEARS.
Fulani control Kwara, you know. |
antitpiah: Very boring life.Knew that's what you would say. Omo ita. Lol |

Oshiomole is one hypocrite of a politician. He is 'disappointed' in Jega that directly conducted the election but he is happy with President Jonathan for the conduct of the election. With people like Oshiomole in oppositiin parties, ACN/CPC should forget giving PDP a fight at the presidential level come 2015 |
But I read in Weekly Trust today that he had been found |
dayokanu: Was there a Lagos state pre 1976? If yes who were the governorsHave you seen the response up there? |
Never knew he was this young. One of my favourite Yoruba comedians. Others are Ajirebi, Hafiz Oyetoro(Saka), Baba Suwe and to a lesser extent, Mr Latin. |
Honestly, Plateau crisis should be easier to solve than BH. If only we discard this settler thing and let everyone have full rights in his place of habitation. And this is replicated in other parts of the country too. |
Ibeju-Lekki shouldn't be an obstacle. I stay in Ajah, which is 10 minutes away from Ibeju. If you won't mind, I can pick you up @ Ajah on the day. |
Apart from the already mentioned like Onitsha, Aba, Zaria etc let me add: Ijebu Ode Ogbomoso Ilesa Ile-Ife Okene |
