When I was searching I remember my best friend and I always 'shadowing' in any introduction/wedding ceremonies we attended during the festive seasons. Interestingly I met my eventual wife inside public transport Ilorin-Offa, after flying Lagos-Ilorin to visit one that wasn't forthcoming. Lol

I can see Sokoto corpers dominating here. I've seen 2 ex-corpers of Sultan Bello, one of my regular places. I've also seen Silame and Dongondaji. And Plato(Ganys), how times flies, so it now 5 years when we used to meet @ City Campus cybercafe, discussing Obama and surfing Nairaland! I joined NL during my service year in Sokoto and Ganys(Plato) was the first Nairalander I met in real life.
I do not really think that Chelsea needs his services, because we just signed Hazard, Marin, De Bryune and Malouda is still around so I wonder where he will fit in. But he should never go to Man United else his career will just die.
We said this in 2005 too - Chelsea had Ballack, Lampard, Essien, Deco, Makelele and so Mikel will not get a chance to play. He not only broke into first team before the end of first season, only Lampard is guaranteed a shirt before him in the midfield positions.

ayusman16: Nothing like Christmas/December bonus..... you only have end of year bonus which is applicable to all.

The are using money meant for development to build mosques and go for pilgrimages. Money gotten from Kaffir's oil.
I dont know whether it exists in the the public sector, but in many private sector organizations there are turkey/christmas bonuses or under similar nomenclature. And I'm not talking about performance-based end-of-year bonus and 13th month, which are entirely different and are given in addition to the above.

Politics › Re: Farouk Lawan Provides Evidence Of Otedola's Attempt To Bribe Him by Jarus(m): 5:53pm On Jun 18, 2012
Time between collection of bribe(April 13 or so) and report to Police(May 9) too long to be convinced by this. It appears Faruk reported after he got wind that FO had already reported to SSSS earlier.

These documentary evidences don't add up. Plus the manner he accepted the bribe(filling his cap etc), if reports of Thisday were true, makes it look more real than an attempt to expose somebody.

If you eat mango and follow it with eba or garri, you will die.

In primary school I would have eaten mango from school, and when I got home the available food for lunch will be eba. Omo, come see dilemma o. After hunger don catch me taya, I go draw the bowl of eba and finish it, then rush to football field. I will now be expecting stomach upset.

naijaking1: Unfortunately, you just have to bring GEJ's name into all this. What's that conspiracy theory againhuh?
That GEJ and OBJ caused the rain to fall, and Lawan couldn't go home for the night, so he had to pass the night over Otedola's place, and somewhere somehow at midnight Lawan began making threats and extorting money from Otedola just as GEJ had plannedhuh?

Then, it came to pass that when Lawan laid his hands on the dollar bills, it felt so good that he didn't want to let go, infact he wanted more, because GEJ and OBJ planned it, and maketh it that the soul of boyish looking, but corrupttothebone SOB would be overtaken by the dollar! Lo, it came to pass that once Lawan tasted the first dollar bill, his appetite for more dollar grew in leaps and bounds, because GEJ had so planned.

On the 40th day of GEJ's temptation of Lawan, the house member went to his supervisors in the house, gave them a little bit of Otedola's dollar, and they too liked it so much. And he was allowed to convince and decieve the whole house on the need to remove Otedola's companies from the list going to hell, because as it was agreed upon by Otedola and Lawan, more dollar shall flow forth from hence cometh the first batch.

And now, the police wanted their marked dollar bills back, but Tambuwal/Ihedioha house said no, no dollar evidence shall be released from the house, because they are the house constitutionaly. But the Lord God, who resides in heaven and and among the firmaments knowth the real reason for Lawan and his supervisors not to release the dollar.

The dollar has been spent by the their wives, concubines, childrens, and mistresses- all working for GEJ!
I was one of the earliest Nairalanders that believed FL actually demanded for the bribe. See my post trail. I never exonerated him, even when a lot of people were doubting it was true.

Clearly, FL initiated teh bribe.

My point in that post is that if at all FL wanted to collect bribe, how can it be from Otedola, who is more powerful than him, who is closer to the president and other powers-that-be than him, and not expect it to leak to the top executive guys. He could have gotten away with it if it were to be Baba Alata subsidy-choppers petroleum and other low to medium scale 'oil magnates', not Otedola, unless he has presidential backing.

The guy did a poor job. Good for Nigeria sha.

See wetin dollar dey cause for this country. Lol

A poor job by the guy.

How on earth can this guy think he can demand money from Otedola(GEJ's right hand man) and the president will not be informed!

I'm one of the most carefree persons u can ever think of.But I surprise even myself, still having my token intact after one year. Still ok. I keep it inside my laptop bag that I go around with. It would have lost if I keep it inside my wallet, cos I lose my wallets every six months, with my ATM and other cards. Needless to say I have applied for new ATM more than 10 times in the last 5 years, all due to loss.

Properties › Re: Annoying attitudes of Housing Agents by Jarus(m): 7:40am On Jun 13, 2012
Most can be annoying. However, some are still decent. I know one that even spent his money doing the running around when we wanted to change our apartment this year, yet we didn't take accept the house he got for us. I also met one that asked me to pay agency fee first even before I accepted the house. Some demanded 2k first. We experienced the 'flashing' ones too.

But the one we eventually got through was a classy one: an established lawyer with a firm in Yaba. She even did background checks on me and interviewed me before accepting my money. She uses an SUV sef, so no be hungry agent.

Not entirely unnecessary. My turn-around in mathenatics in SSS was due to private lesson. The personalized teaching afforded in private lessons can be of advantage as pupils have more confidence to ask questions from teachers.

GboyegaD: You had better begin to love it since you are already building a career in it. Anyways, Expy Arogbaasomabale is always proud of you.
how far my classmate? Did you see Expy recently.

Well, with 4 years experience in accounting, I'm very comfortable with it, plus my specialization(taxation) is interesting.

But nothing like being an economist, dropping economic policies a la Soludo, Sanusi and throwing the whole country into debate. It's fun. Lol
Education › Re: What Influenced Your Choice Of Course In School? by Jarus(m): 10:36pm On Jun 11, 2012
Interestingly, I'm an Accountant today. Accounting was the subject I hated most in secondary school and I always ran away from it in university too(electives). I just hated it. I only started ICAN to while away time in my service year, but today, that is the work I'm doing. I know it, but still not my favourite career line.
