ceah:Send me your a/c details. Let me send you the balance in BB Integrity A/C with me for this cause. SMS me. |
Economics, over and over again. |
recoome:What did I say I will resign for? I said 'If PDP wins CPC in presidential, despite winning in NASS, I will resign'. That was what I said I was too sure of. I stil maintain my stand. Let's wait and see. |
Leave them, Ileke. If they are also Fulani like Buhari, let's see how they will separate their natural accent. |

Let's forget these alliance talk, guys. It's irretrievably gone(except if rerun happens). Let's get set for the field alone. |
Let's move on, guys. This alliance talk is irretrievably perished. We are going to teh field all alone. |
Aisha will come backto feed us the outcome, but from my phone discussion with her, it was one very emotional event where people were crying seeing Buhari's sincerity and honesty as he spoke. |
Gbawe:At the risk of being accused of 'falling for triviality' and 'deifying individuals' again, I must confess you are, to me, the hero of the whole presidential candidacy debates that have dominated this section in the last 6 months at least. I salute your zeal, your passion for your candidate(Ribadu). If one adds your analytical prowess, debating skills and grasp of history to those, then one will see that there are still loaded people here. You impressed me the most. |

aletheia:Thanks for calling my attention to these figures. Info I have from my friends there has it that Kaduna North and Central are more populated and these are CPC's strongholds. Let's wait and see sha. |
olawalebab:When informal reports came in that ACN was leading Kwara, I was ecstatic, but doubted it will be true. I honestly doubt it will possible to defeat Bukola Saraki's PDP, with teh structure he has on ground now. I prefer ACN to win, but from what I read and heard, ACN was winning but overnight, PDP was declared winner the next morning. ACN is challenging the results. I don't know who actually won, so I ahve kept mute. By the way, I'm still working on an article 'FROM FATHER TO SON, NOT YET EUREKA FOR KWARANS', where I want to lay Bukola bare for his hypocrisy. |

@fstranger, The ease with which you resort to attacking my school, my certificates and course of study, at teh slightest opportunity, honestly, makes me wonder what I have against you. How lowly can one get! @topic, Yes, the division here is far from being a conservative - liberal dichotomy. That I have mentioned many times, including at the beginning of this thread. But many folks don't see it that way. Many people don't see it that way. That is why I, for one, will never attack somebody because he disagrees with me, in as much as he doesn't initiate the attack. I also don't relate with someone on the basis of our past disagreements. Semid4lyf is one of the Mods I flow with most on NL, but in the GEJ-Buhari debate, we are at extreme opposite sides. In Buhari-GEJ threads, esp at the height of the arguments, I normally avoid him, so as not to create a hostility that will outlive the Buhari-GEJ debate. This I deployed so well thruout this period of politics. Beaf and I, for example, hardly agree on issue, from the 'Hurricane Sanusi' debate days(2009/2010), to the Buhari/GEJ period, but we are still in very good terms. In fact, caustic as Beaf usually is, I have never seen him attack me. So my own philosophy is our disagreement should not transcend teh issue of contention. |
I have never been involved in national politics the way I did yesternight. From 7pm till 12 midnight yesterday, it was as if I was with them in Abuja where the talk was going on. I stayed glued to my BB, exchanging SMS with editor of a popular newspaper, Deputy MD of another, and the editor of a popular news site, getting bit by bit updates on the ongoing talk, fresh before press. How Bisi Akande sent a statement to media houses yesterday afternoon holding Buhari responsible for the initial breakdown, how he later called them to withdraw the statement(signaling positive development), how their first meeting yesterday ended in deadlock, how they went into another round, how ACN governors were reluctant and Tinubu initially said they should give Buhari a 2nd chance, how Tinubu met with Jonathan etc I rolled on teh bed, murdering sleep, updating guys by sms and thru FB update, until the collapse finally collapsed irretrievably. |
The funniest thing in that cartoon is how they drew Tinubu's eyes. So perfect. |
Pharoh:There is no denying the fact that this election has divided Nairaland, like many otehr places, into 'us' and 'they'. For example, we BB supporters know ourselves and in most threads we tend to see things same way. The GEJ supporters too know themselves and even in non-GEJ Vs Buhari threads, the division is still there. My question is, will this division endure, or we will integrate back? |
edoyad:If PDP wins CPC in presidential in Kano, I'll resign as NL mod. |
I think there are some guys around Buhari who think CPC can do this alone, thinking there will be a run off.Exactly. Imagine when ACN were begging Buhari 2 years ago that they wanted to field him. Even as recently as a couple of months ago, ACN were still at the begging end. |
Any sentence typed by Becomrich throws me off my chair in laughter |
@ Kobos, I'm the one that has been changing the topic. The poster's title is: 'Is it true that Dapolam wants to run for House of Rep?' |
Guys, let's move on. Tinubu has been bought by Jonathan. He was flown to Abuja in presidential jet. He prefers a corrupt government at the centre while he maintains his grip on SW. |
Buhari should forget Tinubu and move on. He has been bought by GEJ. GEJ flew him to Abuja in presidential jet. He prefers a corrupt government at the centre while holding grip of SW. |
Tinubu has finally been bought by a desperate GEJ. I'm not surprised, he prefers a corrupt government at the centre and maintains his grip on SW. |
LOL at 'while rolling on the floor' Meanwhile, only a day-dreamer will think GEJ will get 50% of Kaduna. |
Protection is in quote. Better monetary offer,if it goes to that; will be easier for him; and the skeletons too |
Latest Info from my source has it that 'it's done but details still sketchy'. Pls let's begin integration process with ACN. Thank God Tinubu did not accept GEJ's overture because source said GEJ rushed to Lagos yesterday to beg Tinubu, and Tinubu may give in, given the fact that Jonathan gives him more protection. |
'Between Sanusi and Buhari' rather. |
Interestingly, I was the one that dug out and re-popularized this article, when the Buhari debate started late last year. I have written articles around this Sanusi's essay. Google 'Between Buhari and Sun'(Thisday, Sun, Punch, NVS etc). That said, I think this article can easily can easily be used for or aganst Buhari. Sanusi pointed out Buhari's strength and weaknesses. But in the final analysis, he concluded he will vote for him. So I think the 'for' takes it. |
The probability is now tilting toward 100% as his latest SMS to me is that 'we are hearing that teh alliance has been sealed, waiting for confirmation'. I may take Friday off-work to face this project squarely and consolidate on my past campaigns and do aggressive reminding and bombardment of friends, families and people I have convinced in teh past. |
9ijaMan:I had gotten something similar but only tried to keep it to myself to protect the source, given teh fact that my source is a very top executive in a popular newspaper and I didnt want to pre-empt his paper to breaking it. In our SMS exchange this evening, he told me that Bisi Akande earlier sent out a release to media houses in the morning, castigatng Buhari for rejecting their(ACN) offer 2 years ago. But dramatically, few hours later, teh ACN Chairman withdrew teh statement from media houses before publication, signaling that the alliance might have been copnsumated and teh anti-Buhari statement was no longer necessary. |
Guys, let's keep the hope alive. It is for the future of this country. |
