Pastor Bakare takes the stage speaking on Gen. Buhari's exemplary qualities. He also said "They have invented vacuum cleaners, we are in the age of technology. No broom can clean the corruption in Nigeria." and he starts to sing as Gen. Buhari takes the stage.
I'm not so comfortable with Bakare's now familiar attacking of ACN. We will need these people, maintain a rancour-free or at least neutral relationship with them for now pls. Attacking ACN will not be productive for this change project.

BUHARI CANNOT GET 2% VOTES IN LAGOS  STATE
Even in 2003 when he was not one-tenth this popular and PDP rigging machinery at its best, and contesting against do-or-die Obasanjo, he still eked 7% of Lagos votes.

Meanwhile, I now have about 30 shirts with me, handed over to me by our 0.5m donor Nairalander this afternoon.

I am pleased to announce a contribution of 500,000 from a Nairalander on behalf of him and his friends. He doesn't want his NL ID mentioned. They promised to make more funds available before election.

Meanwhile, I'm in Wazobia/Cool FM now, putting finishing touches to our deal with them.

Also, I'm still in talk with Splash FM and Osun Radio.
Politics › Re: Which Is Worse: 12 Years Of Pdp Misrule Or 38 Years Of Northerners Ruling? by Jarus(m): 1:06pm On Apr 06, 2011
It's not about region.

Good man can come from any region.

Sanusi Lamido is a good, patriotic man from the north, so is Buhari.

After all, Atiku, IBB did not command this followership, and they are also northerners.
Politics › Re: Report Your Efforts On Buhari-bakare Team Here by Jarus(op): 11:40am On Apr 06, 2011
I have just paid 30k for Yoruba Jingle for Osun Radio(same to be used for Ibadan). I have also paid 73,256 to Wazobia for 6 evening slot(2 per day) for Wazobia PH.

TODAY's SCHEDULE:
WAZOBIA LAGOS: 2.45 PM, 9.45 PM
WAZOBIA PH: 2 times this evening between 3-11 PM, but exact time yet to be communicated to me.
Politics › Re: Lagosians: Tell Us Who You Are Voting For As President by Jarus(m): 8:48am On Apr 06, 2011
STATE                   OBJ               BUHARI
lagos                   69%                7%
If Buhari got 7% in Lagos against a Yoruba Obasanjo in 2003, I see him easily getting at least 4 times that this year.
One, there was massive rigging in 2003
Two, he was contesting against a more militaristic incumbent president
Three, he was not 10% this popular then
Four, he was contesting against a 'son of the dominant tribe' Obasanjo
Five, the hatred for PDP has not reached this height then.

What people don't know is that even in 2003, when PDP rigging machinery was at its fullest gear, Buhari still polled 12 million(32% of total votes then). With this phenomenal surge in his popularity this 2011, just a little more votes will earn him 50%.
Also, despite Atiku's money, popularity and fame in 2007, Buhari doubled his votes.

Politics › Re: What U Should Know About Jega by Jarus(m): 12:09am On Apr 06, 2011
Altho running a university is far different from running INEC, Jega's issue is not integrity. Since he resumed INEC chairship, there has not been any substantiated question on his integrity, the main issue is he underestimates problems, which some people, rightly or wrongly, have described as incompetence.

I just finished speaking wt Splash FM rep in Lagos. He said the rate is 20k per slot, almost the same thing with Wazobia. Their office is in Ikeja so the challenge is being chanced to get the CD across to them from my office in VI to Ikeja. Whose route relates to VI-Ajah to pick the CD from my office tomorrow and drop with Splash FM rep in Ikeja and make the payment?

Wazobia/Cool FM was easy cos its a stone-throw from my office, but Ikeja is tight for me.

Thanks guys, it's for our future and that of our progeny.

I'll keep u posted on other periods it will be aired.

I'm still putting finishing touches to Wazobia PH and Osun Radio ones.

I expect Wazobia PH own to be on air, if not tomorrow evening, Thursday morning.

As for Osun Radio, I'm still working with them on rendering that same message into Yoruba.

We still need recommendation on most popular stations in Ibadan.

I'll update you as things go by.

Meanwhile, I got a donation of 5k from somebody in Kano today. Another person called this evening to collect a/c details, promising to donate his too tomorrow.

Also, the shirt designed in one thread on Nairaland has been produced by our 1.3m promisor. He said he wanted to give 30 copies of the shirts to Nairalanders. Due to distance(He's in Apapa and I'm in VI) it may be difficult collecting them from him, but let's see how it goes.

Politics › Re: Did Anybody Listen To Buhari On Radio Nigeria's Programme (eagle Square)! by Jarus(m): 6:59pm On Apr 05, 2011
I listened to the interview. Honestly, it almost got tears out of my eyes. I saw honesty, I saw humility, the man exuded sincerity, it was easy to discern from the interview that this man is out to rescue this country, it was far different from the usual political talk of promising to build bridge even where there is no river. Posterity will judge those who villify this man, that was my conclusion as I almost wept listening to him.

GenBuhari3, many thanks, I've got alert for ur contribution.

I have also not listened to the jingle cos I had left VI before I got SMS that it'll be aired tonight.

Let everybody just listen to it and comment. If it's not catchy enough, I'll quickly sms them to withhold it.

Also, I'm still in talk with Osun Broadcasting people on our advert there. I want it to be in Yoruba, so we may have to do a fresh one.

Also, I should be able to seal the Wazobia PH deal too tomorrow.

Our 1.3m promisor has also called me to explain that he had had a tight day and he will make good his promise tomorrow morning by God's grace.

On the FB group, I'll join the group later in the day by God's grace.

Regards

Politics › Re: If Buhari Wins That Is The End Of Nigeria by Jarus(m): 4:48pm On Apr 05, 2011
Surprised the issue of ending corruption is making waves now, and not during GEJ vs PDP northerners(Atiku et al) time? It's because, then all of them, both Southern(GEJ) and northern contenders(Atiku, IBB et al) are all one the same? We didn't border, because while Atiku and co are corrupt, GEJ doesn't have bicep to fight corruption.

Suddenly entered a man called Mai Gaskiya(the truthful one). His major selling point is that he is not only uncorrupted and incorruption, he abhors and fights corruption.

Since many Nigerians believe that corruption and indiscipline is the foundation of our problem, like a hurricane, this man continues to attract crowd, from the South to the North. Nairaland was no exception. That is the genesis, if you don't know. We did not invent the corruption campaign. It's the man's natural selling point.

And by the way, northerners may see Buhari as one of them(just as GEJ called MEND his people) we see him as a Nigerian. This is not about where the man's comes from. Good man can come from anywhere, north or south. Why didn't Atiku, and even IBB, command this whirlwind?

So, to me, if Buhari wins, that is the end of impunity and indiscipline in Nigeria. It will usher us into an era of discipline and patriotism, where you will think twice before doing wrong. Human beings are naturally inclined to do evil, which is usually the easier route, but if you know you the system will catch you, you will think twice before acting. This is the difference btw Nigeria and US for example. In Nigeria, you know you can steal and get away with it easily, over there, the high chance of you being caught by the system and duly sanctioned is enough deterrent. So after some time, it becomes part of you, doing the right thing becomes an habit.

This is where we believe Buhari can lead us to.

UPDATE: 9.00 AM 06/04/2011
Since majority of contributors here do not want NL name to be mentioned, I have to drop the idea, even though I personally prefer it and I can get Seun's consent, so I will put a call through to Cool FM now that they should remove Nairaland.com.

But I honestly think it sends a strong message if we put there that we are just a group of concerned Nigerians that met only on the internet are passionate of seeing change in our dear country. This is important to distinguish us from the PDP style where the funding will come from govt purse but they will hide under one fictitious name and address.

'Concerned Nigerians Youths' is too banal and uncreative, so why not have something like 'This message is sponsored by  INTEGRITY VANGUARD,  a coalition of concerned Nigerians in the cyberspace(or online discussion forums)' or something close to that.

Two, a member of this forum called me yesterday and asked me to give him budget for 4 slots per day for Cool and Wazobia FMs from today till election date. I did teh calculation based on their Advert rates I ahve with me, factored in discounts and VAT, and arrived at 1.3m. He said he and his friends are ready to foot the bill, and he will send me the money tomorrow. That will be a very big boost for us, and we can concentrate on other stations.

I have opened discussion with Osun Radio and they will be feeding me back today. I will keep you updated.
I will also be sealing the Wazobia PH advert too between today and tomorrow.

More update during the day.

Politics › Re: Why You'll Never Vote For Goodluck Jonathan? by Jarus(m): 6:40pm On Apr 04, 2011
I'll prefer why I'll not vote for Goodluck Jonathan, to NEVER.

The reason I'll not vote for him are many:
1, He lacks the biceps to rule a country as complex as Nigeria

2, He has shown that he can't fight corruption which is a great menace

3, He can easily be manipulated

4, I have better alternatives in Buhari and Ribadu

5, I dislike politicians with godfather

6, The fact that he bribed PDP delegates 7000 dollars each on the eve of primary, practically quarantined them, locked them in a room to prevent access by Atiku who can offer them higher bribe, and goaded them straight to convention venue, all so perfectly done that one would think PDP primary was free and fair, sent a very strong message to me that behind a man that wears an innocent face in public, lies a typical, sophisticated PDP politician I cannot trust.
