Travel / Re: Nigeria Build State Of The Art Railway System by Jaybaba(m): 8:10pm On Dec 21, 2006
This railway is a a white elephant project. Most of us do not read the news and all the details contained therein. Only last year, a Canadian firm offered to build a better track and supply international coaches that run on LNG for Nigeria. It would cost the FG $2Billion and the coaches or train would convey people and goods from Lagos to Abuja in a record 3 and half hours. The contract was to be completed in 11 months. The company also wanted another which would travel from Lagos to Onitsha for the same period and the same time to convey people.

What did our president to this offer?, He rejected it and gave the contract worth, we all know how much and to a Chinese firm. It is worth over $10bilion. This company has track record and are reputed in Canada and Europe. OBJ rejected them for such a cheap sum and instead preferred to fund a huge wasteful railway which no one sane enough will ever use for there is nothing mentioned about the engines it will carry or the speed at which it will work.

Ghana are a lot smarter, they have accepted the contract and work has commenced. In a matter of time, Ghana will have speed train and her economy will take another further leap for good. Is Nigeria cursed or jinxed with bad leadership?

Few people did not know about this but it made an editorial in the Guardian. Why did OBJ reject the Canadian contract which was cheaper, would take less time to complete and offered improved speed that is in conformity with what is obtainable in Europe and America? Only for him to give a contract worth far more and far less in value to the same Chinese whom Abacha paid God knows how much to?

These are some of the REFORMS we are currently enjoying. Abi how una see am? These are the reforms Yar Adua wishes to continue. There are so many of such projects undertaken by OBJ which we do not know of. Let us think this properly, This current railway project is obviously a waste of tax payers money.

We dey here, Ghana don celebrate years of bye-bye to power failure, we go dey here Ghana go get fast railway and we go still dey here Benin go leapfrog to space and we go still dey do reform,
Politics / Re: Fresh Democratic Party by Jaybaba(m): 2:56pm On Dec 21, 2006
This is the party of the moment.
It is de-tribalised, pro-Nigerians and absolutely for the Nigerian people. It is passionate for the causes the people believe in (the Nigerian hope or dream) namely , guaranteed human rights, liberty and pursuit of happiness. It has a focused manifesto that believes in capitalism not at the expense of the people (call it compassionate capitalism).

Oh God, I wish and pray a Chris Okotie can become Nigeria's president!
The PDP has failed on nearly every matter it dared to tackle.

Has anyone realised that we are paying more now and getting less for nearly everything now than we used to 7 years ago?
We pay more now for fuel and get less fuel
We pay more now for food and get less food supply
We pay more now for phone call and get poor network quality
We pay more now for accomodation and building materials and houses are still insufficient
We pay more almost everything (electricity, paint, etc) and get either less or lower quality than desired.

Nigeria is also paying more of human lives to keep this country going. - This country has no security of any kind. The Police are now a private security operative of the PDP. The economy is in shambles while our home land is unsafe.

We can go on listing the ills the PDP has perpetuated but that is not the issue on ground. The FDP is a different type and has vision. It is based on a passion and love for the people and not necessarily contracts or power for power sake.

Vote Fresh Democratic Part, Vote Rev. Chris Okotie for president,
He is different, he has vision and he is fresh!
God bless Nigeria
Politics / Re: Yar'Adua: President In Waiting? by Jaybaba(m): 9:06am On Dec 21, 2006
Nairalanders, let us look critically at this Yar Adua matter.

First, he has promised to continue with OBJ's reforms. He even read it from a prepared speech.
OBJ's reforms have not been far reaching to the masses or it is not benefitting the masses but a few who can buy government parastatals and earn a living from the rest of us who cannot. OBJ's reforms sees NIgerians as a problem and it intends to STOP providing for NIgerians any service whatsoever. It believes the private sector should take over though social responsibility. Ask yourself, is this a good policy to continue?

Second, Yar Adua is very qualified academically, yet he had to read a simple acceptance speech from a text, Ask yourselves, is this a good sign of one who should have grasp of the task ahead?

Third, Yar Adua is an extremist, he is not a liberal Muslim but one who believes in jihad Sharia and Islam as state religion. It was in his state the infamous Amina Lawal matter took place where a Sharia court sentenced the woman to death by stoning to which the governor had no objection. Are NIgerians going to enjoy the freedom of religion and association nationwide and without intimidation? Are NIgerians safe from terrorist intrussion and the like with such a leader at the helm of affairs? These are very fundamental questions and fears. Obasanjo has demonstrated his crassness and carelessness at an issue of such sensistive nature by imposing one with these tendencies on PDP and maybe NIgerians, Ask yourselves, Are we safe as a people when one who does not respect other religions is in power?

Fourth, Yar Adua is physically unhealthy! It is not news that he has very serious kidney problems that make him require medical attention often. NIgerians do not wish to mourn the death of a leader in office. NIgerians want an able bodied young man in his forties and not beyond 55 who is physically fit, mentally/morally sound and academically qualified to be our next president, Ask yourselves, Is Yar Adua healthy enough to cope with the rigours of the presidenty or would our tax payers money be spent on huge medical bills abroad?

There are too many reasons why Yar Adua should not be Nigeria's next president. He has a right to contest that office and rightly so but in whose interest? The North Cult or South Cabal? OBJ? Or Nigerians?

My people, it is a pity only few of us learnt to think critically by learning to let only reason and logic guide our sense of direction. I hope we ponder a little on the questions above and weigh deeply the the obvious risks involved in any decision we take now on who becomes the next "lord" of NIgeria.
Politics / Re: The Downfall Of Pdp by Jaybaba(m): 3:20pm On Dec 16, 2006
I agree with you Ezenwanyi.
PDP is headed for utter destruction. Why, how?
The PDP is not democratic within its fold as a party as it has selected rather than elected its candidate. The Anambra state where Andy Uba has become candidate is a mockery on the intelligence of the people in that state and the party locally. This is a man whom the FBI arrested for various allegations including money laundering and all of a sudden he is a gubernetorial candidate and even the man the most holy Obasanjo wants to be vp.

I wonder if Nigerians are never ashamed of associating with obvious criminals. Cause from all indications, these men (PDP) have no ideology and have demonstrated this in 7 years with only a reform that has not benefitted Nigerians but themselves and some1 believes they will win again. Over 90% of the population have not been registered and PDP believes it will win.

The PDP wants to bring out an unknown and unhealthy Yar Adua to be Nigeria's president on the ground that he is accountable and a man of integrity. These are no campaign issues. The PDP promised to eradicate corruption but today it wants a man arrested by the FBI for various reasons who prefered to settle out of court to become governor or vp of Nigeria. Does this not marvel you?

Nigerians want absolute change and it is now an emergency. Our indifference after taxation is no good thing at all. I believe we want a fresh start and fresh ideas and fresh people who have no beef for anybody but want to serve the people.

Vote Fresh Democratic Party and Chris Okotie, that is the party of the moment.
Politics / Re: Is Nigeria A Country Of Scammers by Jaybaba(m): 2:59pm On Dec 16, 2006
This country is not a nation of scammers. By no means is it so.
Some people from Nigeria are scammers and earn a living by scamming.
The vast majority of Nigerian people though are honest people who go about their business lawfully.
The other Nigerian group who are scammers are led into it by frustration from another bigger scammer who is the "governments of Nigeria." These are the biggest scammers in this world.

The Nigerian government will promise electricity and we end up buying more candles/ lanterns
They promise to provide jobs but retrench enmass workers at various parastaltals.
They promise to build and improve schools only to privatise and sell the schools.
They spend billions on road everyyear and there is no road anywhere to show for it.
They fight and assasinate each other like scammers who do not share the spoil properly.

What more proof have to conclude that this is a nation of scammers. Check out this maths,

Nigerians are 3

some Nigerians are honest = 1
some Nigerians are scammers = 1
Nigerian governments at all levels are scammers = 1
population of scammers = 1 + 1 = 2.
:- 3-2 = 1.
Nigeria is a nation of scammers, You are right!

Politics / Re: Voter Registration Towards 2007 Election In Nigeria by Jaybaba(m): 2:33pm On Dec 16, 2006
The registration exercise is still not happening.
Only a few say they have registered so far in Lagos.
INEC should have plan B and extend the voter registration till end of January. During that period, it should verify no duplicate registrations exist and release a final list or number of eligible voters nationwide, Nigerians abroad should also be allowed to vote at our embassies.
So far, there are improvements in the registration but it should get better. Another thing INEC should do is tell us how they will ensure there is no rigging at the polls proper for it is one thing to vote and it is another for our votes to truly count.
Politics / Re: President Of Nigeria In 2007: Who? <Poll> by Jaybaba(m): 2:17pm On Dec 16, 2006
The die is cast, OBJ has picked Yar Adua to be his anointed candidate. The papers report Odili & Duke's withdrawal. Obj also wants his stooge Uba to be VP. What are the delegates going to Abuja to do? It is a waste of money for them to bother these delegates. OBJ and Ali could have just done the entire work and declared them president and vp respectively.

It is clear by these happenings that the PDP itself does not practice democracy by the rules even within its own party. The Katsina governor is virtually unknown to Nigerians. Integrity, uprightness and acountability are personality issues and not the problem of over 150 million Nigerians.

Using GSM text messages is a good way to advertise but these people should know that our cell phones are our private property and we pay for it and as such we should receive gratifications for any such adverts we receive. The PDP realises that Yar Adua is an unpopular man and not even a man the Nigerian people know or can identify with and they are desparate to buy cheap publicity for him using text messages to our cell phones. This is wrong,

Mass mailing/texting is unsolicited mail and it is also SCAM equivalent to the ones yahoo guys spend hours doing, No cheap publicity can make Yar Adua accepted now. He is an imposition of the sitting president on the PDP and thank God, Nigerians can see and make an informed decision on this matter.
Politics / Re: Peoples Destruction Party Plc by Jaybaba(m): 6:20pm On Dec 15, 2006
The PDP as a political party has no strong political ideology or philosophy.
There is virtually nothing of note that it stands for.
The OBJ administration in 8 years has created some reform programmes which the PDP has now claimed ownership of.
Democracy is about issues and not persons really,
Not until we get this right, we will not have democracy. The PDP running the executive, the legislative in 7 yrs plus have not been able to show significant improvement in the lives of Nigerians. We need to reject them now.
Politics / Re: Yar'Adua: President In Waiting? by Jaybaba(m): 6:16pm On Dec 15, 2006
Why should we accept Yar Adua as President of Nigeria?
It is very clear the PDP intends to impose a consensus candidate of their choice and the anointed governor of OBJ to become Nigeria's next president and thus confirm that this country is a country not of her people but for some persons.
We reject PDP and Yar Adua. Reason, the faceless reforms that aims at further impoverishing the people will continue.
Religion / Re: Is Jesus God? by Jaybaba(m): 5:29pm On Dec 15, 2006
Dear Nairalanders,
No matter what we think or how we reason, the truth remains the same:
1 Timothy 3:16
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
There are so many other scriptures that point and agree on trinity, This one though speaks about God being Jesus himself.
But we must not confuse trinity to mean Three Gods in One like we were taught to believe as children. We now know today that it is One God in three manifestations, as God the Father and Creator of the Universe. As the Son of God who is the saviour and redeemer of the world. He also manifest today (the latter days as the Holy Spirit of God).

Take this Gospel and you will be blessed by it in the name of Jesus.
Politics / Re: Why Ibb Stepped Aside For Now by Jaybaba(m): 12:22pm On Dec 13, 2006
Ibb's losses have begun.
He is stepping aside for a virtually unknown person on the ground of not competing with him in PDP. But he will compete with him on the big stage. What is this? The two letters are an open show of modern hypocrisy.

For starters IBB has lost N5m to PDP for picking up their form, (E no pinch am at all o)
He will go elsewhere and probably spend the same N5m and withdraw for maybe (Shagari or Ahmadu Bello's son in law) grin.

The millions he has spent so far on PDP campaign nonesense is all a waste now and more waste will be declared soon. Nigerians be wise, what man will spend so much to become president if he is not investing in legalised way to rob tax payers money?

IBB is a dictator and he is on the wrong side of Nigeria's history. We have not forgotten and we are no fools. God bless Nigeria.
Politics / Re: Nigeria Will Soon Divide, What Will Happen If Power Leaves The South In 2007? by Jaybaba(m): 4:10pm On Dec 09, 2006
EXU:
God is not questionable in any way or any matter. God IS. Take it and believe it. It will do you good.

On the matter Nigeria will soon divide: some questions come up. What is Nigeria, a country of over 130 million people located on the West of Africa. Why would it or should it breakup? Intolerance and Greed.

The South is intolerant of the North's greed to hold on to power and control resources overtly or covertly.
But who is the North and who is the South? Do not be mislead, Nigeria has over 250 indigenous tribes or ethnic groups and are not at all one nation but an union of nations. There is no reason for the union besides "independence" which was the basis for which our founding fathers formed the country.

The North is just a group of soldiers and their friends backed by some religious rulers and traditional chieftains.
While the South is a disunited group of businessmen and their friends supported also by traditional chieftains.

The true Nigerian people (people we meet daily) have no say in this power struggle between some Nigerians (North/South). The North and South political cults or cabals have failed Nigeria and Nigerians. The Nigerian people have grown frustrated but are still highly indifferent and cannot begin a rebellion against either of these cults. The true Nigerians are not disunited but agree on a lot of matters (football, business, marriage, etc) disagree on others such as (religion, culture).

The Intolerance by the South of the North, and the Greed of the North to control power and resources may be reason for a split. The Nigerian people never really identify with themselves in matters of power struggle and this is as a result of their disagreements mentioned above. This weakness of the Nigerian people is exploited by the North/South in their power-play. Where a truce cannot be reached or the other subdued, there will likely be a serious breakup.

Both the military North and disunited South cabals have not really held power for the good of Nigeria and Nigerians. Elections are here again and what is playing out? A grand design to disenfranchise Nigerians on a large-scale.

Nigeria will not divide so long as some truce or counter truce keeps coming up. But Nigeria will never get better with these truces. Apply reasoning to this theory and you will come to the same conclusions as I did, Nigerians must unite for good causes and issues affecting us the real Nigerians by dethroning the North/South Cabals or continue to wallow in "government magic of 2 steps forward 5 backward."

Think today about this matter. The North is not a tribe nor is the South an ethnic group. They are just various groups who compete for power and resources at the expense of the the true owners. We must bring an end to this and put Nigerians in power.
Politics / Re: Ladoja To Come Back, Akala To Go - Supreme Court by Jaybaba(m): 3:30pm On Dec 09, 2006
The Supreme Court should be respected.
The PDP had in all this while kept quiet in a matter it ought to have taken action on months ago.
Somehow, some bit of sanity is in Nigeria with this verdict. Although OBJ has pledged support for it, I'm yet to hear the interpretation of the Attorney General - Bayo. Maybe Ladoja should wait for the International Court of Justice Ruling.
Akala truly is a usurper like Gov. Tinubu opined and I urge the EFCC to begin investigating him now.
Politics / Re: Chris Okotie (Fresh Party) For President In 2007? by Jaybaba(m): 4:49pm On Dec 02, 2006
Goodguy u really are a good guy!
Reading the papers, you'll find IBB's kind of campaign. He's paying some unethical, good-for nothing, gutless men with FLEXIBLE or NO CONSCIENCE to make write-ups against human rights activist who are critical of his person.
From the foregoing, it is apparent that more "individual/personality" driven and vendatta kind of politics will soon be played out in another 4 years if anyone but Okotie becomes president.
If Okotie becomes president today, I am sure, we will get better.
God bless Nigeria.
Politics / Re: Is President Obasanjo A Failure? by Jaybaba(m): 11:58am On Nov 28, 2006
OBJ as a human being is not a failure. He has achieved more as a human being than he might have ever imagined or dreamed as a child. He has become leader of Nigeria twice.

As president, he is a failure. Nigerians are paying more and getting less for everything in the market now than they used to before he became president.
His reforms are not targeted at the people but see the people as a problem which must be offset.
His third term ambition was a clear indication of his manipulatory personalty and a non respecter of the people or constitution.

Which of the answers suits your question?

the way Nigeria must go is forward.
The state of the roads is proof of governmental failure.

Politics / Re: Chris Okotie (Fresh Party) For President In 2007? by Jaybaba(m): 11:05am On Nov 28, 2006
For those who say is not qualified for this or that. You have a right to have views. However, we must really look at our views critically.
A lot of greenhorns have ruled the world and succeeded.
For crying out loud, why are we not tired of people without conscience? Of people who cannot do in office what they say during campaigns (liars of the pdp)? Why are we campaigning for people who do not tolorate dissent? Why do we prefer people who do not believe in consultative leadership where applicable? Why do we prefer people who cannot speak without reading pages prepared for them by professional script writers? Why are we interested in people who want to continue with OBJ's anti-people, anti social reforms?
For those who desire change, answer these questions then you'll stop being influenced by such matters as experience, religion, etc and become objective. Speaking also about objectivity, we need an objective person to rule this country, there are few of such people and they are Chris Okotie and infact Chris Okotie.
Politics / Re: President Of Nigeria In 2007: Who? <Poll> by Jaybaba(m): 9:28am On Nov 28, 2006
Atiku is not a credible person. There are too many allegations of abuse of office which Atiku is yet to defend and prove beyond reasonable doubt, He is a part of this failed PDP government as he is number 2. Why on earth should we put failure to continue?
A caring, people compassionate leader with a lot of integrity / credibility is what Nigerians need. Atiku, IBB, Buhari are not 10% near those qualifications. Even if Atiku goes on to show he is not a man of corruption as the president and his aides have alleged. He has suffered credibility damage. I already see him and OBJ as corrupt people.
We need change and that change is not and cannot in anyway be Atiku.
Politics / Re: Can Someone Explain The 53 Suitcases Scandal To Me? by Jaybaba(m): 8:51am On Nov 28, 2006
We really need a correct or more precise version of this story scandal of the 80s. The two versions in this thread seem to be contradictory with someone claiming Atiku reported the matter to the FG while another claiming he waived all formality to let the suitcases be taken abroad.
Information is not really reported with maximum precision in this country, no wonder a lot of people cannot make intelligent reading to form factful opinions.
This story should be brought up again. One of the ingredients of democracy is the credibility of aspiring candidates being questioned over and over again about their actions of the past. If Atiku had shown or demonstrated to be a man without ethical principles 20/30years ago, it should be made known to the public today. If he was one who insisted on due process, it should be made known to the public today. These information will help the voting public determine and or decide the fate of their candidates. It will equally go a long way to ensuring we have only people of good repute running. Past police reports on politicians, etc should be put on the media. Take it or leave it, democracy is only good as having men of integrity run for public office. Anything less than that amounts to electing lawless people and giving them immunity to exhibit more lawlesness.

Politics / Re: I Will Vote For Babanginda by Jaybaba(m): 7:38pm On Nov 22, 2006
Only the ignorant, mentally challenged, uninformed, conscience depraved and wicked fellows can ever vote or support IBB. Infact, anyone who supports IBB now takes over IBB's personality.
Some1 said to me in a cafe on Lagos Island recently, what did IBB really do? He's a 40 year old man and a heated arguement ensued with himself, another guy and I.
Excerpts:

40yr man: Wetin IBB do?
Jaybaba: I'm surprised u don't know
man2: na true qstn b that. Wetin d man do wen many people dey say make God forbid am
to come back?
Jaybaba: IBB do two things wey dey important for Naija history
40yrman: June 12 and wetin again?
man2: Na only June 12 if not, the man try
40 yrman: E try well well o. 4 im time, fuel na N3/ltr of fuel. Garri cheap pass like this, no
fuel scarcity etc, etc.

This argument continued for a long time with both men shouting at the top of their voices b4 finally speaking the truth from their innermost hearts.

40yrman: IBB allow us do wetin we wan do
man2: Chop-I-Chop
40yr man: IBB no get time for wetin we dey do 4 cafe like OBJ wey use EFCC dey pursue
us up and down.

It took the attention of the cafe mgt to tell the men (customers) to let their engr (me) do his work. But the argument continued after I was thru.

If the truth must be told, majority of Nigerians are deeply IGNORANT and are happy and unconcerned about it. The few others who are not ignorant are highly INDIFFERENT. The attitude "so far I see food chop, wake up baf, go where I wan go, I'm ok."

That is not contentment. It is indifference for you to pay taxes of any form and not be represented. It is ignorance for Nigerians not to know their history or to have lost their sense of history. This is the main weakness IBB and his cohorts are planning to exploit. It may work.

But as for me, I desire change, yes positive change for the better. I want my children to have hope not necessarily from my own savings for them but in my society's security of their life and prosperity.

The man to bring the desire change in Nigeria is Chris Okotie and another is Utomi Pat. Aside these any PDP person is not even an option. For starters OBJ feels PDP is the bedrock of Nigeria. Nigeria's founding fathers founded this country on the principles of freedom, peace, progress, justice and unity of her peoples but what we have today is far from that.

IBB is not a Nigerian in our interest. Be wise o Nigerians. Be informed. Read. Get informed, let us progress.
Politics / Re: 2007: Okotie Tops Popularity Poll by Jaybaba(m): 7:38pm On Nov 22, 2006
Okotie is very viable.
What are the reforms all PDP guys are promising to continue and sustain?

Privatise all privatisable, government has no place for providing or maintaining any public service whatsoever, Government has no business providing any form of empathy to the people because it is unprogressive.
The OBJ/PDP reforms are extreme capitalism with a unhidden prejudice towards the poor/dying. Our government's reforms is to hands off from any venture that benefits the people directly or indirectly such that the people have to pay to get whatever they want. In order words, our government sees us as a liability / unpleasant responsibility & burden which they must do away with. An IBB spokesman/campaigner recently said "Nigerians should not ask what their country can do for them but what they should/can do for their country". IBB himself promised to sustain the reforms.

For all we have suffered in this country, it is apparent that the policy above (OBJ's Reforms) are not in good faith towards the Nigerian people. Nigeria needs a government that can make the people create wealth that will uplift their self esteem, standard of living and make her a respected nation amongst other people. OBJ's reforms claims to have made Nigeria the highest producer of cassava, yet Garri cost so much more than ever b4 in our markets. OBJ's reforms claims we have paid the bulk of our foreign debts (which we never got to see or benefit from taken by IBB/Abacha) and yet our Naira remains significantly weak after 8 years. Bank recapitalisation has been a good idea but has it made the banks more useful to us? You'll need to go to a bank to find out if this has happened by requesting a simple overdraft. The competition has dropped yet lending rate is still higher than everyother country. The effects of these reforms are evidently negative, yet we are made to believe they are good for us simply because we bought shares from banks that were scared of losing their biz.

The current reforms are good on paper but in reality, they do not benefit the common or real Nigerians. These are some of the reasons we need to vote some other party/person with clearly defined manifesto that seeks to promote the interest of the Nigerian people. Having read the FDP document and several other manifestos of other parties, you'll agree that the FDP, NCP are the only parties with concern for the people.

Think clearly and logically on this matter without sentiments to any preconceptions whatsoever and you'll come to the same conclusion as I did "we need a resourceful government that is caring and not one that sees us as a problem." We need a government that can enterprise Nigeria such that we begin a steady march towards development in all ramifications - economic, infrastructure, education, etc.

Abeg make we think Naija well well o. E no consain me no fit help us at all. That government is one led by Okotie if we give him the chance.
Politics / Re: Judiciary The Toothless Bull Dog Is Beginnig To Have Some Teeth by Jaybaba(m): 6:26pm On Nov 19, 2006
Accountability is one of the principles & ethics of true democracy.
When any public officer elected or appointed is found wanting, he should be axed.
Due process must be followed to the letter. People should be zealous of protecting and enforcing the law.
The 1999 spells out this due process clearly. If the people (lawmakers) are in doubt, they should consult qualified constitutional lawyers to educate them. It should even be prerequisite for contesting for seats at any house of assembly i.e. legal understanding of the constitution.
Dariye ought to have been impeached. The Judiciary should be respected in this country.
OBJ & PDP have shown time without number that they are no respecter or courts or the judiciary as an arm of government. No wonder the NBA strike of two days to demonstrate its anger at such unethical principle of People Destroying or Deceiving the People.

This is a very fundamental question.
Where does our democracy stand?
American democracy stands on "taxation without representation is discrimination and deprivation" It is this that led to the American dream and declaration of independence.
That stand has kept that nation till date. All the parties clearly agree with that only they take different methods or approaches to solving its problems.
We need to get a bearing. Our democracy really has no ground on which it stands. We have people in power or contesting power for power sake.

Why do we not like to have our own people rule over us. I mean why do we never like a street man rule us. Simply because he was a musician/lawyer/preacher now presidential aspirant does not make him uncertain. Okotie has nothing like religios vendeta in his agenda.

Only a common man understands and hopes to better the lot of his kind.
IBB/ABACHA, BUHARI/OBJ, MARWA/ATIKU are not ordinary men like you and I.
They have 2 consciences: 1 black, 1 lost & missing and the color - wickedness.

God give us men, a time like this demands men whom the lust of office cannot buy
men whom the love of money cannot corrupt.
Men who possess a will and men who

Take a stand and make a mark cause one who stands for nothing will fall for anything.

IBB stood for falsehood (he kept making handover promises he never fulfiled). He kept running the economy down & was proud about it. IBB is very unrepentant & proud about his annulment of the June 12 election. He does not even believe he should apologise to us. There is a current scheme they are cooking up now. Know what it is? They want to tell us what hideos character Abiola had which is why they did Nigeria a FAVOUR by preventing his presidency. No matter what wicked level faculty of reasoning pro IBB supporters/campaigners have it will never work nor do this country any good.

I advise people to be on the look out for such manipulation. Election rigging has begun already. (Voter registration not goin on) I'm afraid. The script that played OBJ in made sense and besides the PDP truly won 1999. It was 2003 that nobody won the presidential. A runoff was supposed to have been used.

It makes sense for OBJ to have won cause he handed over as promised to a democratic government of the people. It makes foolish thinking for IBB to return cause he never fulfilled his promises & was pain in our necks/arses.

IBB stepped aside not for Nigeria's progress but to rest & come back whenever he saw fit. But ye evil IBB suporters must hear this. We have retired you from your rest and sentence you to eternity without mercy.
Politics / Re: 2007: Okotie Tops Popularity Poll by Jaybaba(m): 7:11pm On Nov 18, 2006
According to various international observers, he was the overall winner of the last presidential debates, Some websites also acknowledged this BBC-Africa, CNN, Wikipedia, etc.
For me, I consider him my first choice for president. We need a human being to rule us. Trust me on this we need a man with empathy and compassion. A man who is passionate about Nigeria just like us. A man who can speak about the issues and how to address them from the heart without a script. It is that kind of man we need.
This man ought also to be honest, showing that he worked hard and believes in hard work. Chris Okotie seems to be the only 1 in this category.
We need a man from among us who knows our problems.
The others are coming from other perspectives.
Politics / Re: Time To Nigerianise Democracy For Economic Prosperity by Jaybaba(m): 7:06pm On Nov 18, 2006
What is borrowed about our democracy?
What we have is our own invention, Military Babas in agbada crazy or better known as
miliababangbadacracy.
Until we get INEC to work. Until we realise it is our duty to make the change we demand, Nigeria will remain in this retrogression forever.
Politics / Re: President Of Nigeria In 2007: Who? <Poll> by Jaybaba(m): 7:03pm On Nov 18, 2006
It matters o.
At least for now it does. Some people need to be assured they belong and that assurance comes from handling the mantle of leadership. Is it even fair for a man to produce all that has made those northerners, westerners and some easterners extremely rich and not be allowed to even benefit from what is rightfully his?
The south-south deserves the presidency after which the south-east. After then, the political parties can alter the zoning mechanism and begin to give whoever they seem fit (so long as he is qualified by the rules of morality and fairplay) to contest afterall the final say should belong to us.
Politics / Re: We Need A European Leader To Fix Nigeria? by Jaybaba(m): 6:55pm On Nov 18, 2006
A European leader? Not at all!
A white man does nothing but plan & execute. Observe & Improve.
An African can do the same thing and even better.

The problem of Nigeria is not ethnicity or that a Nigerian is rulling us.
Our problem is that there is always a greedy oligarchy with nothing in heart but lust for power at the helm of affairs. Now tell me where that situation was a good thing or desirable.
The American people were run by a British crown (white) and they rebelled cause it was not in their interest.

In our case here in Nigeria we have never been able to rebel cause the Oligarchs use some policy, divide and rule. They pay some people who mortgage their conscience and then threaten the rest of us with zombie soldiers brandishing guns/whips.

People should think clearly when making such claims as these.

What has Zinox got to do with INEC?
The INEC definitely needs help anyway.
Politics / Re: Aso Rock Is Being Prepared For Ibb’ by Jaybaba(m): 6:35pm On Nov 18, 2006
Do u see how this guy blatantly tells to our faces the kind of party PDP is & the kind of policy it will play out. Can you imagine an evil genius like IBB having campaigners with such passion. I just do not know how it is possible for people to loose their conscience and not be concerned about it.

Can you imagine him asking Nigerians from whom his principal stole their mandate and all other things especially joy "not to ask the country what it can do for them but what they can do for her."

It was John F. Kennedy who made that statement. There is no connection between that statement with a Nigerian state that has been battared BLACK/COAL by IBB/ABACHA, BUHARI/OBJ. So because some sycophants go to Minna daily, you now assume we have no sense of history nor have we any outlook for the future.

Nigeria needs something new and vibrant. We need change as it is the only constant thing in life. IBB has been a coup plotter from the biggining and in case BigB1 and his wicked IBB supporters do not know (it is a crime against our polity). IBB ran down the economy making it difficult for us to even survive which brought about a mass drift of professionals to foreign lands. IBB annulled a free&fair election. There is no other sin worse than that. That a people should line up under a hot scorching sun on June 12 1993 to be fools. Oh boy, u better take time.

IBB was a soldier nearly all his lifetime meaning that he was a salary earner. Where did he raise money to own as much as he does today. The market women may have forgotten or have become indifferent and that is why we are where we are today.

Nigerians beware of IBB. I hear some churches are planning to start prayers against IBB's return. This is good. I am not only in support of that. I am asking alllll Nigerians to pray that this evil omen should die tonight so that we can celebrate like we did at the death of his co-hort Abacha.
