Have a look at the thread here=> https://www.nairaland.com/1388182/nairalanders-folake-needs/15#down |
I can only commend the kindness shown by everyone on this thread. It's always refreshing to see that Nigerians are always ready to be counted when it counts. I'd like to remind you guys that there are also many other victims such as this widow and would ask if you guys can also show this kindness towards them. The TeHN team are currently running an end of year charity flight where the sole aim is to put smiles to faces of the underprivileged during this festive period. First of all, i'd like to congratulate you guys on your win albeit by default due to no show by the other candidates. I felt the first contestant did a very good job. You appeared to have spent time to do your research and of course backed it up with adequate references. Your presentation was quite easy to follow and delivery was sometimes flawless. However, i would have loved to see more examples of why total freedom of speech isn't necessarily a bad thing. You also appeared to contradict your position with your subsequent rebuttal by accepting that the state does need to monitor and even go as far as censoring people on social media. Furthermore, i'm not sure the second contestant was of any help because most of his presentation was centred around freedom of information when he could have helped the other candidate solidify their position. I also think he needs to work harder on how he structures his presentation going forward. You need to be able to wow the audience and am afraid you were neither here or there with your submission. You should also make sure any copied texts are properly referenced at all times. Congrats on your win and hope to see you guys in the next round |

@omesbrit Can you please expatiate how freedom of speech helps electorate make better choices Can you also give me a specific example of how freedom of speech has inadvertently helped reduce corruption |
@ chynazom How do you propose to navigate around the issue of national security if governments were to allow 100% freedom of speech |
Registering my presence and wishing the debaters goodluck with the contest. |
Sike: I intentionally stepped on the toes of this fine girl i met last month on a queue in a Bank ATM. The girl was like, "OMG are you mad? What's all this rubbish now? See my leg now." I kept calm, smiling and replied, "It was a mistake baby. I'm deeply sorry". Those on the queue helped me begged her more. She said it's Ok. So, I bent down to help her clean the mess but she refused & did it herself. After finished with our transactions, i rushed to me meet her again to beg her more. That's where the show began. We talked, laughed, exchanged contacts. NOW, the rest is history. If she couldn't see me for a day, she would die.You are lucky her reflex action didn't result in a hot slap. Too risky |
They both have different roles to play and since no single role is more or less important than the other the surely they are both equally responsible. |
Having a degree is not a prerequisite for getting jobs in the computing industry. You can always go for targeted certifications alongside your current degree program. Lastly, you can work as a computer scientist with an engineering degree but can't work as a mechanical engineer with a computer science degree |
