RedBenson: I remember raising money for Folake to undergo surgery, nairaland never came back to tell us (with pictures or videos) if d money was delivered to her and the surgery undergone successfully. If money is whereby contributed in this one, who would we be sure it get delivered to the hapless widow?

Pls let's be sincere and transparent here. Shame to oshiomole, cos that woman must not die - amen.

We have provided series of updates on the thread Sir including audit of the account to date.

I can only commend the kindness shown by everyone on this thread. It's always refreshing to see that Nigerians are always ready to be counted when it counts.

I'd like to remind you guys that there are also many other victims such as this widow and would ask if you guys can also show this kindness towards them. The TeHN team are currently running an end of year charity flight where the sole aim is to put smiles to faces of the underprivileged during this festive period.

First of all, i'd like to congratulate you guys on your win albeit by default due to no show by the other candidates.

I felt the first contestant did a very good job. You appeared to have spent time to do your research and of course backed it up with adequate references. Your presentation was quite easy to follow and delivery was sometimes flawless.

However, i would have loved to see more examples of why total freedom of speech isn't necessarily a bad thing. You also appeared to contradict your position with your subsequent rebuttal by accepting that the state does need to monitor and even go as far as censoring people on social media.

Furthermore, i'm not sure the second contestant was of any help because most of his presentation was centred around freedom of information when he could have helped the other candidate solidify their position.
I also think he needs to work harder on how he structures his presentation going forward. You need to be able to wow the audience and am afraid you were neither here or there with your submission.

You should also make sure any copied texts are properly referenced at all times.

Congrats on your win and hope to see you guys in the next round

Smartie gurl: Jay Bee, front page nah!

I've recommended as instructed boss.

olusolami: Alrighty...this is nice! I'm in! You will hear from me by Monday, I'm going door to door on this one! And executive pocket to executive pockets!

Thanks ever so much

Much appreciated

Nicee

@omesbrit

Can you please expatiate how freedom of speech helps electorate make better choices

Can you also give me a specific example of how freedom of speech has inadvertently helped reduce corruption

@ chynazom
How do you propose to navigate around the issue of national security if governments were to allow 100% freedom of speech

Registering my presence and wishing the debaters goodluck with the contest.
