Completely disagree. It is only normal with Nigerians. You buy your own drink when you go out. Once in a while, a friend could foot the bill and tell you its on me, but that is not a normal drill. My guy, you move too much with other Nigerians. Oyibos dont think like that. In Europe and even most African countries, your girl friend can take you out and when both of you go out, you pay for your drinks separately. That is why South African and Kenya girls like Nigerian boys. We always foot the bill even when we have to borrow to pay.
The key point here is:

jay bee:
I doubt that's the case bro. It's not unusual for people to buy the rounds when in a pub. It happens all the time when out with friends. It's simply the norm
I was only doubting your claimed fact that people in the pub looked amazed when the dude ordered 6 glasses of beer.
So you know, we all take turns to provide the rounds for the drinking buddy so nothing exceptional with one of the buddy carrying 6 glasses when it could have simply been his own turn to do the round.
gerrit now?

1.  friend's brother who was working in Russia, on his way back to Nigeria, made a stop in the Uk and went out with 6 friends. At the bar, he went and bought 6 bottles of beer and was taking it down to his friends to the amazement of all in the pub. Cause they were wondering how he was going to drink 6 bottles in one swoop. They didnt even realise he was buying for all his 6 friends, because thats not normal in places like that.
I doubt that's the case bro. It's not unusual for people to buy the rounds when in a pub. It happens all the time when out with friends. It's simply the norm

Business deals solely based on emotional conditions are destined for failure. Save yourself the heartache.
Ask her if she is comfortable to give you the deals as friends rather than lovers as you had be more comfortable with that. If she insists then please let it go
PoliticsRe: Stop Moaning... Petrol Is 326.21 Naira a litre in the UK! by jaybee3(m): 10:20pm On Jan 02, 2012
Beaf:
This is a dishonest comparison.
Firstly, you have not included fractions for rent or taxes. Secondly, the UK didn't get to where it is today because of oil subsidies (yes, the UK is one of the Worlds top oil producers).

We all need to desperately want Nigeria to attain the UK's standards and we cannot do that by effectively subsidising the indolense in the system.
Rent is subsidised for the poorest in the UK

@OP
Which family has it worse when their commuting to work is compared on a like for like basis?

                                                          Nigeria.         UK
Cost of fuel.                                            140.            325
Average cost per month (per 100 litres).    14000.        32500
Miminum monthly salary.                          18000.        240500
% of salary spent on fuel.                          77.7%.       13.5%

PS: Assumptions factored into the above are as follows,
Exchange rate= 250 to 1 pound
Minimum salary for an adult in the UK is based on the calculation of 6 pounds per hr * 37 hrs a week * 52 woks a year divided by 12

@justwise , Thanx again and i must tell you one Plain truth, You are the greatest failure Nigeria will ever produce. If your Father made you believed it is right to insult everybody that comes your way, then i want to make bold to inform you that you are destroyed already if you don't change. Even God said don't judge others so that you will never be judge. Why Judge the Guy when you don't know details of what happened there and don't even care to know. All you stand to do here is to accept the fact when someone call your country Names, My Guy you are doomed and only God can Help you, ooohhhhhhhhhhhh
You are nothing but a fucking disgrace. Such a cretinous fellow you are.
Someone goes on the Internet and pretends to be someone else in order to gain an unsuspecting innocent person's confidence then scam them of their hard earned money and you can sit your lousy behind typing crap about God being the judge.
You really have to bury your head in shame eeediot
