Hi guys, pls this statutory declaration of common law union form, how do they fill it? Some questions are confusing. And how many forms in total is one supposed to submit for a family application? *confused paper applicant* epp me cry
I assume you are applying for a visitor visa. Below is the link to the CIC guide to apply for a visitor visa.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5256ETOC.asp

Online applicants completed the questionnaire that generated the required forms for us to to fill and upload. As a paper applicant, please thoroughly review the guide and print out Document Checklist (IMM 5484).

TIPS:

1) When you hover around an area in some of the forms, hints pop up on how to complete it.

2) Take note of "if applicable" forms and consult the guide for further clarification.

3) Answer all sections. If a section does not apply to you then answer NA or Not Applicable.

Godspeed

why did u make that kind of mistake? online takes forever oh! thank God I applied via paper route. smiley
Lol. You sound like online application is a taboo. If only you knew the number of people that have done paper application since May 2016.

I really don't place much emphasis on Nairaland statistics because it is definitely not a true representation of CIC statistics. Not everyone comes here to write about their TRV process.

Let me thank you all for prompt responses to numerous questions. My question is, can one move or relocate a brother in-law from Naija to Canada permanentlyif he has what is required?
Note: he is PR, good pay job of any 55k annually, with his family of 3. Please respond. Thanks
No he can't. A brother in-law does not qualify for family class sponsorship.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/relatives-apply-who.asp

He can try express entry or temporary resident visas but he has to qualify for it.

"Please house my UCI number is like 12 digits and a letter...kinda confused cos on the cic website it says 4 digits a hyphen and another 4 digits...
Can't find that anywhere..
Help needed please.."

Saw the above post in Part 7 of Travelling to Canada. I got something similar. Does anyone know why CIC assigns a 12 digit UCI number?

sir I am not saying you are wrong but I am saying that..

Its better you know a Nigerian there you TRUST and knows what he is doing tongue

Cos he would Go to the immigration there and get proper information there

Let me give you an example

When I arrived Tanzania (Visa on arrival)
I paid $50 and got a visa.. but the American behind me was charged $100.

He went haywire and insisted he checked the country immigration site just before leaving (Kenya) country on transit. That its $50 for Americans.

He became a fool after all the shouting because he still paid the $100 or you go back.

Sir I am not saying you are wrong, but it will be better if you know any trusted one in Uganda to do a proper research for you.
Or if there is a physical embassy in Nigeria where you can get the visa then it's ok.

It's an African country sir

cheers smiley

Cc AleAirHub
Thanks and just like you said, an embassy is present in Nigeria where he can get enquiries from. I just called the embassy of Uganda now to enquire if the information they have on their website is up to date and they confirmed that it is.

I believe the first source of valid information should come from the Embassy whether it is perfect or not. Second source of information should come from others.

I disagree healthily grin in the area of priority. Embassy first? Or phone a friend? Keeping in mind that this is a Visa before arrival scenario. I case my rest. smiley

Bravo My International Winetapper wink
Sorry but i would advise you to handle this yourself. Middle men have cause enough problems for Us Nigerians both home and away. A Nigerian in Uganda is NOT THE EMBASSY.

There's a huge difference between visa on arrival and applying for a Visa before arrival. It wont cost you much to find out from the embassy directly if you require more information. They wont bite you.

To invite my mum to U.S and the Visa we applied for is business/tourism, does my mum need to go with her account statement and Hw much at least is supposed to be in her account.
You can have enough for her flight booking and upkeep bearing in mind that the Naira has devalued. However, those documents would likely not be examined by the officer. Great emphasis is on her application and interview. These will show her strong ties to Nigeria. Prepare her for it.

thank you shadeebee78, yes am a first timmer, I have a valid Kenya visa on my passport which ii spend two weeks and coome back to Nigeria. and I try too submit the following document, 1) my CAC certificate, 2) C of O that bears my name, 3) tax clearance from 2013 and expires december 2016. 4) my statement of account wort of 3m money flow in and out. 5) letter of good behaviour and sponsorship from a businness partner stamped and sealed with his statement of account of 900k, 6) marriage certificate and my two kids bith certificate 3 and 1 years old. 7) hotel reservation which I pay foor a day and ii will pay the rest on arrival. cool tiicket itinerary. and I apply for a tourist visit. please kindly help me out. I doonnt know what has gone wrong with alll this document.
I didn't want to bring up finances since it wasn't mentioned in the refusal letter but Awelekiti is right on the money. Also having a sponsor doesn't always work no matter how much he has in his account. It's mostly all about YOU and how you can prove strong ties. It's not advisable to use company account for vacation/visit visa application because it doesn't present you as serious business person. Money for business should be for business and money for flexing should be for flexing.

One more thing, all visa applicants should note is that the Naira has lost its value. Your 3m naira is actually worth roughly about 1.5m according to international standards. So we should always keep the exchange rate in mind when applying to any country. Checking through Nairaland, I've provided links below to serve as a GUIDE only, for prospective visa applicants. Please kindly tailor the GUIDE to CIC requirements. Best of Luck.

good house. my visa was refuse today due to traveling history as stated in the report given to me, please I like to know how long it takes to reapply and I like to know the current visa fee. one love
You can send a new application at any time, unless your decision letter says otherwise.

What most applicants whose applications have been refused don’t realize is that behind these decisions are additional, often very detailed reasons that aren’t provided in the refusal letter. Although this may seem unfair to applicants, the Federal Court of Canada has consistently ruled that there is no requirement for CIC to provide the detailed reasons for refusal in its refusal letters.

There are several ways for an applicant whose visa has been refused to obtain CIC's detailed, refusal reasons. If the applicant is outside Canada, then he or she can file an Access to Information request through a representative.

Since you have travel history you should find out why you were refused before applying again.

Greetins to everyone here, please in 2014 I applied for Canada visa, through an agent, it was a group visa stuff, we went to the Canadian submission center in Ikeja to submit our documents, paid visa fees, 29 days later the agent called me to come collect my passport, when we got to the submission center we were asked to wait outside opposite the submission center, then the agent went inside to bring our passport, when i open mine i notice i was given 2yrs visa, I was so excited becox I have been hustling for long time to go to USA or Canada, so I left my passport with the agent then travel back to where I based TOGO, after i got to TOGO two weeks later i transfer the money for the visa to the agent (1.5m naira) so i came to Nigeria to collect my passport and my visa and the issue became a story, they agent said he has no access to my pasport because the guy who have the connection took our passport and travel because of late payment from me, after two months I got my passport back but the visa is no longer in my passport, I really don't know what happen, my agent was arrested and he said the visa is fake and that he was deceived by another agent.

Please i need your advice is it possible to sell someone visa? because I went to the submission center myself to submit my documents, but somebody told me its Oluwole visa

I am confuse.
That's a sad story. From, all you've just said it is possible a fake visa was stamped on your passport.

However, since you submitted the application by yourself and captured your biometrics it's important to find out what happened to your original application.

Going forward, do you have your application number or any communication between you and CIC or VFS? Like Sms, emails, etc.

Bookings.com wnt charge your card if you do 'free cancellation '. It's only if you opt for their no free cancellation rooms that they charge 100%.
awelekiti:
Well, maybe you've not experienced this before. I spoke based on my experience though. I always go for their free cancellation option. I've experienced it more than 8 timed between 2006 and 2014. Since the always lodged in the booked facility, I wouldn't bother. What I simply did recently was become their business member so, even though my card is charged, I'll still get refunded fully, because that's the only website where I make reservation and pay for myself and colleagues at work. Cheers
mamateniola1 is right. But as you said, you judged based on personal experience. I've used booking.com like 4 times and i've used the free cancellation even in this current Canada application.

Hello house,
Pls I need the guru in the house to guide and advise me.

Am intending to apply for Canada tourist visa which I prefer to go for online visa application. I have 5 years UK, 2years USA visa and Schengen visa though hv applied 2014 Bt my application was declined after 75days.

My question is that, am I going to attached all the required documents including my statement of acct which has abt 25 pages. Better still can someone help me with the documents I need to attach, how to attach and compress it to my application online.

While waiting for quick reply, thanking you all in anticipation.
Why was your application denied?  Did you request GCMS notes for specific details? Have you put in corrective measures to avoid a repeat?

Please go online to CIC and complete this questionnaire http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/getting-started.asp This will generate a code that you will enter before getting to the point where you will upload any documents. The code will generate the upload requirements based on your answers to the questionnaire.

For instance, i answered that i had a company business and the code generated an upload for certificate of incorporation for my business. When i attempted the questionnaire again and answered NO to owning a business, that upload requirement was removed.

Clicking the instruction icon(i) will bring out a list of document you can upload. See the picture below.

I found Adobe Acrobat 9 and upwards easier to use in combining, converting and reducing files. However previous versions and other software will also work if you know how to use them. Your scan DPI should be set to about 300 and you should try to crop out unnecessary file parts. You will still find suggestions to reduce file size in your CIC account.

Best of luck.

Just to share an update with you all. A relation of mine applied for a Canadian Visa online on 26 April 2016. The original passport request just came out today 17 August 2016 (113 days). I guess this in line with the update of shadeebee78 who submitted on 12 April 2016 and received Passport Request on 4 August 2016 (114 days).

To others who submitted online in late April or May 2016, you can use these timelines as a benchmark. Cheers!
Thanks for the information! I was doing same calculations today based on the info provided by shadeebee78. I had to quickly discard that line of thought because it meant I still have 18days to go since I submitted in mid May 2016. Lol.

If the processing times keep going the way it's going we might be looking at 113days. I hope CIC has a limit to such and will put in more resources to bring it down.
