HzRF:And Jonathan signed Nigeria's future to remitta, which PMB is trying to correct now. |
NCP:Who no go, no go know. Thanh GOD my eyes don open. |
greatwaters:You mean the "proposed" ls? firstly, the L5 is still expected. The price hasn't been confirmed yet. All gionee phones smart phones have magnetic sensor (magnetometer) I can use e-compass. Tecno phones don't, (I don't know if the mew phantom 5 has sha) Gionee phones are durable. Tecno, don't even go there. You need to go to carlcare opebi or Awolowo rd ikeja to see how people return devices. I challenge any tecno 8mp camera to stand against my m3 mini 5mp camera. The flash snaps perfectly bring picture in pitch darkness. Most importantly, gionee phones are rugged, strong, not prone to factory errors like tecno. |
greatwaters:wrong move. I use the m3 mini, the phone is beyond awesome. It is a phone I can pay 20k+ for. |
ChidinmaRose:Never heard of gionee? If you use gionee, you will know that tecno only produces just packaged piece of plastic. My gionee m3 mini I bought #16,500 has a battery capacity of 4000Mah. Android 5.1, has USB OTG, I can watch movies and view documents directly from my phone. I can charge other phones with my phone. It has magnetic sensor or magnetometer, (it can use e-compass and also be used as a metal detector) something that doesn't come with tecno phones (maybe with phantom 5 sha o) try to download compass on those tecno phones and see if it works (it won't) My 5mp camera is at par if not better than any tecno 8mp camera. I can confirm that cos I have used an 8mp tecno phone. It snaps perfectly bright pictures in pitch darkness (no hyping here). Gionee is worldwide, tecno is Africa. go to gsmarena.com and search for tecno and gionee. Gionee has other phones with 5000Mah camera, the new m5 is 6020Mah camera. A smaller budget but equally good phone is gionee m2mini #13,900 Android 5.1 with 3000Mah battery. Lastly, in terms of ruggedness, gionee pass. my p4 I used for a year plus before I disposed it off and buy this m3mini, received the most battering of any phone I have used. |
Raymondenyi:Whats the size, how do we buy? |
One "do" the op omitted, is LEARN YORUBA if you can, whether you speak it well or not, trust me, it will save you from more than one UNPLEASANT SITUATION. |
Though I support and believe this government to succeed, but I must admit this is a WRONG move. |
CharlyG1:Ya you are right, I could remember vividly, I traveled home with my mom, when I was a kid, my mother took me along to see one of her uncle (as it was customary of her to visit most of her relations immediately she arrives and before she leaves the village) He was a trado healer or babalawo of some sort. He had this carved statue not more than 3 feet called ere or sigidi in yoruba, among his divinity kits. After the discussions and greetings with my mom, he now did some divination and I could remember vividly he began to ask the statue carved in white wood(in the shape of a human) some questions, and the statue spoke back, with lip moving and all. We all could hear the response, the voice of the statue was thin, of a kind used when mimicking someone. I couldn't understand what the statue was saying because of the thinness of the voice, but my mom's uncle's interpreted what the statue was saying but I know It was Ijebu yoruba our dialect. The discussion went on with the statue for many minutes. All these I saw with my naked eyes I was not afraid, I thought nothing of it cos instinctively I know such things happen. I was even fascinated by it sort of. Just imagine unknowingly keeping such a statue as an ornamental artefact in your home without knowing the power and alter behind it. If you don't give it what it consumes, it will take it by force, in blood, and it may not be animal's. May GOD guide and lead us right. |
porshuch:Hmmmm! that's deep. |
Even GOD ALMIGHTY gives us FREEWILL. |
Owliver:Even me I don't even know Up to half of all the Islands. It stretches. from Tarkwabay to Ogogoro, ladol up till Badagry. If you look up google map, you will notice that the Badary creek divides Lagos in to two, up till Badagry. The southernmost part is the Atlantic Ocean, the islands in the middle, Badagry creek amd upland Lagos. These Islands holds the hidden beauty of Lagos. I have had the privilege to hike from Tomaro to Tarkwabay village and beach. you will see the beauty and serenety of Lagos. I opened a thread on tarkawabay sometime ago. I will post the link when I search for it. The window of my bedroom overlooks a most beautiful lake that sparkles in the sunrise (which many wealthy people will pay millions to have) Stay on this post, I will update the link and some pics. MODIFIED: https://www.nairaland.com/2477482/serene-tarkwa-bay-one-best the tarkwabay thread. These pictures were taken from my bedroom window . I do have a good view of those Eko Atlantic towers from here.

Owliver:Apapa LG is distinct from Amuwo odofin. The only riverine area of Apapa is Irede. (manager) it is a 50 naira boat ride from Alex Apapa. |
Owliver:Sorry for the outburst. This is the link to the official division and description of Amuwo Odofin Local Govt. http://www.amuwo-odofin.gov.ng/amuwo-site/index.php?ref=1 Amuwo odofin is one of the biggest LG in Lagos. Most people don't know about the riverine areas. If you take a boat ride from Liverpool Apapa to Ojo or Agbara, you will encounter a lot of Islands along the waterways. Islands like Itu-agan, Tomaro, Igbologun, Igbo-alejo, imoore, Ilado, Agala, Ibeshe etc. These Islands are subdivided in to different villages, (that is a discussion for another day) It only a few of these islands that are connected to the national grid, (Ibeshe, snake-island, Igbologun) are few of the islands that have "NEPA LIGHT" A 100 naira 7-20 minutes boat ride takes You from Liverpool jetty Apapa to some of these Islands like Tomaro, Itu-agan, Igbo-alejo, ilu titun etc. A lot of people work in other parts of Lagos and live in these riverine areas and commute everyday on the water. These riverine areas are just like any other towns in Lagos. You will be amazed when you see some kind of houses built on these Islands. One thing you can't take away from these islands is peace quiet and tranquility. The only disadvantage is the lack of NEPA light. Most people rely on Generators. |
theshield:All generator and car fumes are dangerous to health. Wether it is smoky or not . |
Owliver:You know say you no get sense, your head no correct. Na me dey talk nonsense? If you don't know something, you ask politely. |
It is not every part of the country that is connected to the national electricity grid. Even in Lagos, there are lots of areas (especially the riverine areas of Amuwo Odofin Local Govt) that are off grid. |
porshuch:And how did he take it? |
All should obey the law. Even the Governor who is the CEO of the state does not encroach on the BRT lanes. Fashola did set a good example here. |
Awa o ko yen je: TRANSLATION = We don't pack that one and chop.
#BBOM
#BringBackOurMoney. |
EUROBOMBER:Whose fault is it for the Biafran commanders to engage in a war for which they were ill-equipped? To me, it shouldn't be the British or the Russians. |
EUROBOMBER:Who is British, who is Russian? Gowon? Awolowo? Gen. Adekunle (black scorpion)? Muritala? Buhari? Obasanjo? Danjuma? If Britain and Russia defeated you, why do you lots hold Awolowo responsible for the death of 3 million Igbos in the war and so hated him for it? Who are you gonna hold responsible next? Ban kim Moon? |
charlesucheh:Even now, TVC and Daar communications no dey the same level. Tvc Is miles ahead in terms of contents, studio and equipments, quality of staff, welfare, organisation, picture quality, everything. |
KashyBaby:You sure say you fit see husband house stay like this? Whatever informed your thought process? |
Eleyi gidi gan o! |
baby124:https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islam_in_Nigeria http://www.academia.edu/7615902/IBRAHIM_OLATUNDE_UTHMAN_MUSLIM_WOMEN_IN_NIGERIA._THE_POSITION_OF_FOMWAN_AND_LESSONS_FROM_ISLAMIC_MALAYSIA You are wrong, it actually "esin imale" religion of Mali. not esin imole. Do a Google Search of esin imale, you will see countless references. |
coolzeal:Ibrahim Agboola kolapo sulu Gambari! If na Fulani man, e resemble Buhari for ur eyes? |
meforyou1:Emir is an Islamic title meaning "teacher of the faithfuls" (or something like that) It is not an HAUSA/FULANI title. The Ilorin people and majority of Kwarans chose Islamic religion , so well and good for them. There are many Emirates all over the moslem world. I think MAI is what the Hausas call their king which is not present in Kwara state. Islam even did not come to Yorubaland through the Hausa/fulanis but through Mali by trade and interactions with Malians. Islam in Yoruba is called "esin imaale" meaning "religion of the Malians) |
IlekeHD:You are smart, very smart. Not many people are privy to this information I tell you. |
Aareonakakanfo:You know why I like yorubas, we smell hypocrisy from 900km away. I love the answers you and IlekeHD replied that EUROBOMBER guy. |
hinwazaka:Take this, you need it. It is faster and less painful than the frustrations and misery that will sure kill you if you have to wait till 2020.
|
TonyeBarcanista:me too. Nice thread brother. Kenule Saro wiwa is a true hero. A hero who never chicken out or give up fighting in the face of deprivation and certain death. |
