brogxy: I am on taxify. My requests are ok or even increased. I guess the many riders have not updated their apps or they don't know yet. Seems The default request on the previous app is the same as taxify (n320 base fare) on the new app. So it could affect lite that way Could appear to have increased because the new algorithm will jump a LITE driver who is closer to the rider to get to you who is on TAXIFY proper. Bad market for LITE drivers, how many riders have the luxury of time to be selecting Lite or not. But then, when the riders get more educated that the lite will be eventually a cheaper means of getting around, trust me, the frugal once will never forget to select LITE before clicking the request button. By then it might becone bad market for the big boys of now "TAXIFY" |

GAZZUZZ: 1 of my drivers is complaining about not receiving enough requests on Taxify lite. Can drivers pls confirm if this is true? Sadly this driver is only on taxify. True to the core, any driver on lite would be lucky to receive 1 or 2 requests per day. Taxify decided to give old cars something lite. |

BTW, what are the possible causes of an alternator not charging a battery properly? Appears not to be giving more than 12V while idling and roughly 13V when revving. Don't wanna kill this new battery o

Muanya87: Good day!
I read civil engineering but graduated with 3rd class with no work experience for more than 5yrs. I want to know if with this my degree I can be accessed by Australia Engineer. I have research and read their booklet it seems you must be employed to gain a skilled assessment with them. I don't know if anybody has done assessment without employment here, so am kind of confused right now.
Please someone who knows much about this should tell me if it is possible.
Thanks... Yes you can still assess your skills without having been in any format of employment relevant to civil engineering. All you need do is prepare your CDR based on projects and Internship. You will still get desired outcome of the career episodes are standard and address key issues in the MSA booklet |

How do i start the process Visit https://www.engineersaustralia.org.au/For-Migrants/Migration-Skills-AssessmentDownload the MSA booklet, read it thoroughly. There are requirements and step by step info on preparing assessment documents. Once you've digested the booklet you can come and clarify whatever seems confusing from engineers on the thread. |

wapu: This one is too tough for me.
Let the engineers tell you if you need experience to be successful in assessment.
Check the requirement for customer service manager of it's in line with what you do. Well you don't need post graduate experience to get positive assessment from EA, he can prepare the requires career episodes based on experience from IT/SIWES period, school projects etc. All need good writing and vetting before submission. TheCar: Lemme look for small trouble.
So if I import Grade A pristine Tokunbo non-accidented and I demand for more than 35k as weekly rental the driver should flee.
If I take you to Elizade, Globe Motor, Briscoe or Coscharis and asked you to choose the vehicle of your choice for the business and make the required payment, would me asking for more than 35k be too much after spending more than 15 million on a brand new car?
If you don't want dead cars, you should be ready to deliver return on investment (ROI).
Car owners using 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 cars on the platform are been human and considerate taking 35k as weekly rental.
If drivers don't want dead cars, you also need to be ready to deliver.
You can't placed a ceil on weekly rentals and expect car owners invest more than 3 millions on pristine (Grade A) non-accidented tokunbo.
If you want to deliver less, expect less.
High performance car, dey chop plenty money to acquire and car owners also need recoup amount invested before Bayo n Henry of drivers world turn the car to Naija Used Dead Car. If you like acquire 017/018 vehicles, it doesn't change how much you earn or the commission app providers receive. It can only help secure offline trips "which truth be told" are rarely available this days. It's easier for people to click the request a ride button. It's left for investor to be smart in his choice of asset. Better to use the money for a new model to buy 2-3 older models and live happily ever after. The most a driver can offer you on any new model is 40k. |

wapu: Will having the assessment now and while in the pool skill select awards you extra 5points for experience come November not something to consider?
But if you are comfortable waiting till Nov, that's fine.
I'll advice you use this period of waiting to get 20pts in English. Cc tomimy1 I totally agree with Wapu on this. Carry on with your assessment which can take months while November is about 5month away. If your still in the same employment by then, nothing changes, the skill select system recognises your work anniversary automatically and awards your point accordingly. You might only just decide to wait till July to be sure of what DHA have in stock for skilled migrants and occupation updates. Best wishes |

stepo707: Yes it's the same I used for TRS and got the successful outcome.Thats you mean get the update from my organization to read hardware technician, if that's the question, then it's impossible, cos I practically begged and begged before they even did that one for me. I used system administrator and IT support engineer when filling my claims on EOI... So do I just edit it on EOI to hardware technician? Also should I edit the employment to No as recommended by SA? If you update it to know, would it affect you claimed point? If yes would u still qualify to be nominated by SA? Your state nomination case Officer is making sense because of the difference in major grouping unit of both occupations, but I think most people that have gone the TRA way before now had similar cases. With their actual job title not so in tandem with the nominated title. Let them comman chook mouth if they ever claimed experience with DIBP. Cc Sujydee, eladua |

pdlibra: I want to use this post to encourage all those waiting for their assessment and to also appreciate all the advice i got with regards the earlier feedback i got from EA.
I waited for 31 Oz working days and 50 days before my application was picked up by an assessor despite the fact that i paid for fast track.
Quoted here was the feedback from the assessor.
I responded by writing an explanatory note with the following comments:
1, For NYSC, please provide:
- I stated that i do not have the requested document because i was only paid stipend during the period and i also attached my NYSC discharge certificate.
2, For upto 6 years job experience: Please provide Electronic Tax Clearance Certificate Card for the whole period of employment at ......
- I explained that my state does not issue out such card. Also mentioned that Lagos state only recently commenced issuing it out but other states in Nigeria are yet to follow suit.
Less than 48 hours after i responded, I got the positive assessment for all my experience and degree. To God be the glory.
Please keep your faith alive, it will definitely happen. Congrats on the positive assessment. Wondering if that stunt will go down well with DIBP |
