Well in everything, try and understand that every market has its high and low tides.

The rains will bring in unfavorable odds for riders, drivers and cars, which will result in a boom for the strong.

To remain strong please check your suspension parts every morning especially the C.V (shaft) booths once torn they will not last a week before the noises creep in, always listen to noises and vehicle sways, do not be in a hurry to align vehicles, most time it is a torn lower control arm bushing. Watch your tyres for uneven wear, I have seen a car destroy 2 front tyres in 3weeks because of bad alignment /lower control arms.

Meanwhile that Mumu driver that said my CRV will not pass taxify screening because of a mark on the passengers door thunder will fire you.

Why are you so pained Mr Man? Thought you were a matured human being all along. So you expect me to rush into renting your car when I know inspection can be dicey. If you've been to those centers before you would know what's up. Because uber doesn't do inspection you're there blabbing.

Bring car lemme go and run the inspection, if it passes I rent car, if not I drop it. That was the best I could do.

No time for stories, moving on.

In all your "wisdom" and tactics, you can never find a driver like me. Your loss.

I'm that driver grin

My rider almost made me have an accident just now. She did a stopover at TFC Opebi, so I'm doing this quick update.

I picked her up from WaterCress Hotel on Oritshe Street, Ikeja. She was with a male guy, who gave her a wad of #1,000 and #500 notes when she got into the front seat of the car.
Her destination is River Valley Estate, Berger, but she requested to do a stopover at TFC Opebi to buy salad.

On our way, she made a call.
"Hello dear, how far? How are you?"
"Sorry I couldn't call you yesterday night, I was tired after bathing. I fell asleep"
I was like "haa!". I sha maintained and held on to my steering wheel.
I think her boyfriend must have asked her where she was
"I'm going to Berger with my aunty. Today is her son's birthday; we want to pick some things for his party"

I looked around ... Maybe my GPS is faulty; we are on Allen Avenue. And where is the aunty, please? Am I her aunty? Oya give the phone to your aunty now, let her greet your boyfriend.

How do ladies do this? Anyway, shebi Na driver I be. Let me hold my steering and face front
Na today??

Thank you so much for your response. the certification training is for 6 months & will be 33 by December.

Pls i need pple with ACS experience to shed more light to this issue.

Also, will my spouse go through the same process (assessment & english test) as well or it's just on me (principal applicant)?

Thanks & God Bless
Don't even think of the certification, better to move fast.

@bolded, your spouse going through an assessment for her occupation can add 5pts to your package. P.S her nominated occupation must also be on same list as yours.

I'm really inspired the kind of insightful information shared so far. God Bless you all.

I'm planning of getting into the PR race and information read has really got my spirit up. Had a BSc in computer science from OOU in 2010, and had a 5 yrs experience working as a field transmission engineer on Airtel network under Ericsson and Huawei respectively.

Presently, I'm planning on going for my CCIE/MCSE (cloud infrastructure) training and certification in India, after which i wanna apply for Computer Network & System Engineer or Telecommunications Network Engineer under the subclass 189.

To the experienced ones, kindly advice on what chance i stand to get an ITA? or the better subclass to apply for.

Age: 32

Thanks.
As is, age will give 30pts
Education will give 15pts
Experience gives u 10pts (if properly verifiable)
English test gives huhpts (u need at least 20points from here to have a good shot at 189 ITA)

My guess is if you decide to go for the certification, you might lose 5 points from age depending on how long it takes to get the certificate and when you would be clocking 33. Bottom line, going for the certification will slim your chances of claiming maximum age points and I'm not sure the certificate add any points but only help any enhancing your occupation assessment outcome. But you already have education in relevant field of occupation so in my opinion, fire on with your assessment ASAP. I believe OOU is a level 1 university as well so u have a good shot.

Let the ACS goons tell you more.

Has anyone ever experience this...my taxify balance hasn't been showing for like 2 months now....don't know if I'm owing or they are owning me..the painful part is that i took a trip from Abraham Adesanya to MM2... I got to the airport before knowing its card trip..#5200 just go like that.. I won cry
But have you been getting bank deposit alerts fro them on Mondays? To know your balance I will advice you check your net earnings and subtract the amount the balance section says you have received in cash that week. What ever is left is your balance.
If cash collected is more than your net earnings, you owe them.

If net earnings is more than your cash received, they owe you. You can also check it for the previous weeks in bring forward previous balances if you haven't been receiving payments.

It appears visa class 489 is a slavery visa. The thing is that you are invited to a party , but you must come with your own food and drinks. The moment your food and drink finish you are told to go back home! You are not really needed.
,
Beg to disagree, though it stipulates a 4year period, its a provisonal visa that leads to PR and they expect you to have landed your PR before 4years, as u can start the process after 2years. You just pay a token sum to get the PR and not the same amount you pay for the 489,190,189 at starters (this was my initial fear). its better than getting bleeped in your fatherland.

IMO, More advisable for singles, and not family with many dependents. Just get an Overseas health insurance cover (OHSC) to cater for your medical like the temporary visa perhaps, need arises.

That's your invoice for last week earnings paid to your account. Taxify often forward email after your bank acc has been credited
actually he is owing taxify and they are requesting him to make payments for their commission. Once it gets outta hand they will block until payment is made.

Gentlelife50:
Please Taxify sent this message, I don't understand because to me it's conflicting. You guys with experience can help explain this to me.
Your debt profile with them is rising and they have sent you an invoice so u can pay up. Just pursue tomorrow bonus and Sunday evening to close in the gap. Pray for some card trips too, if not you would have to pay in chunk someday and e go pinch u for body

Now that is better way to ask me .. I thought you were been a smart ass from your first post. .... Of coz I can't come down every two weeks.. If you go back few months ago, when I stated that if you want to succeed in this uber business.. You need a good team around, that is if you plan on having fleets of cars on the platform... so my manager will be hopefully working soley for me before the year runs out...
Now back to the matter like biggie said in one of his songs.. " I got accountants watching my accountants so I don't go broke" I hope you get my point...
All penned are dodgy, how do YOU inspect your car's every 2weeks after the manager has done his/her part like you said? Haba!!!

On the contrary, a lot of banks are trying to cut costs in their transport dept. I am aware of a bank in Marina that was planning a Pilot test of Uber's services for its staff (especially Marketing/Sales) early this year. This same bank does not buy Corolla for their staff as status cars any longer, rather they buy GAC & JAC, who sells cars similar to Corolla at about #6.5M.

Moreso, a lot of them are complaining about the bills they receive from Elizade & Co on those Corollas, cars that are not even on the same quality level with Toks American specs.
Couldn't agree more, safety wise most especially

All this new driver eh, that's how I requested for an uber ride. Next thing I saw was an update, you are on your way. Lol grin card trip for that matter. Pick up was palmgrove: destination Westwood ikoyi.

I run enter my rider app, na this fine girl suppose be the driver with her 2013 camry, guess she decided to try uber, when I check her profile saw driven 27 trips. I sighed: no wonder.

She had mistakenly started the trip, I tried calling driver number, network said number has been barred from receiving call, sent in app message- chai e no deliver. Na so I begin pray make she no begin deh zoom go ikoyi thinking say na there she wan pick me from. Waited she didn't call either, guess confusion swallowed her. Just saw her on the app rotating up and down the street she was, na so I begin laugh. I was about booking on taxify then I saw rate your trip with xxxx.

Just ignored the rating and booked another ride. She go learn. Thank God them no connect me with her again.
