Please something is confusing me. If my work has nothing to do with my qualification. Can I apply for any of the visas. Without claiming point from work experience.
Yes, quite common with engineering qualifications. But others fields of study may require you to have 1 oe more years of experience in the field to be able to move forward.

Boss, the driver and Taxify would be able to answer your questions.

What I know is, the driver start the trip without showing up at pick up point and the trip was canceled without any payment either to my card or added to the next trip I completed after the dubious driver start trip without showing up.

Do find attached screenshot. The driver would be able to explain how he get paid.
OK, the driver started and ended your trip. Not that you cancelled the trip. It was I cash trip, but since your where not on d ride you can't pay for service not rendered.

It could have been an unintentional mistake on the part of the driver.

I have experienced this both as a driver and rider.

I have mistakenly started and ended a surge trip once, lucky for me the surge was still there when the rider requested again. If it's a card trip u can either refund the rider the 400 in cash or negotiate to end the ride some few kilometers away from destination just to compensate them and make them happy. But if it's a card trip and the driver never showed up eventually, then you 400 is gone. You know what to do.

Maybe there is, we learn everyday.

I don't think is possible for a rider to end trip, he just used that to buttress his point
what kinda buttress? If he said the driver started the trip, in trying to bring out a point here.
Probable the driver only clicked the arrival button, but he thought he started trip. That's how falsehood begins to hold sway
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by jayooh: 4:44pm On May 27, 2018
TheCar:
I don’t drive on any of the platform but I am a rider on both platforms.

So from a Rider perspective, please note the following:

1. Never try to impress a rider. You become too nervous which isn’t too good. Just be yourself. Be natural and be real. It is like you seeing a babe you like and want a relationship if you try to impress her, you become nervous and would eventually scare her away instead of attracting her to yourself. Be Yourself.

2. Be Courteous - As a service provider, be friendly and courteous. It is like you visiting a bank, the Security Man would greet you welcome, open the door for or guide you on how to open the door, you enter the bank and the teller welcomes you with a smile. You feel at home and welcome. Try and do that for your rider. A simple Good Morning/Afternoon or Evening and how was your day today. If you observed he or she is carrying something open your trunk and offer to help in any little way you can.

3. Be Open - If you’re not familiar with my destination do not make me believe you’re. Missing a turn or a roundabout automatically turns to a delay. If your rider is rushing for a meeting and you missed a turn, he or she wouldn’t be happy. Asking for help with direction or the best route to the destination from the rider doesn’t make you weak instead it opens a line of communication between you and your rider. Let him/her lead the conversation, if he/she is interested.

4. Do Dont be Dubious - Some drivers think they are smart by being dubious. A driver start my trip yesterday before getting to me. I saw the car enter the building I was and he was going to make a u-turn then he start the trip and 5 minutes after the guy still didn’t show or call me, since it’s a cash trip, I cancelled, left him 1 star and a terrible review. I then requested another driver who end up collecting 5 star with awesome...

I know you will sure succeed.

Cheers
How do you cancel a trip that has been startedhuh

For Surge and Boost am sure those times would be back as we draw towards the end of the year but after my experience last weekend i can almost confidently say Uber is now over saturated and anyone thinking of jumping in for immediate profits is only wasting their time and need to be really patient.Things are no more like the first 3/4 months of this year when Uber wan take surge blind us.Saturdays was an absolute delight from 1.8 surge for morning for mainland to 2.0 surge at night for island but now gyne even monday morning that used to be 2.0 on the island that could increase to 2.4/2.5 from surge is now only on 1st Mondays of the month where there are expected monthly board/exco meetings in companies etc..maybe now that there are more drivers there is no need for surge except for rains even Airport that was sure banker 2.0 on some nights at certain times on the hour mark i dont know when last i saw Airport surge. Now getting a ride seems to be you being closest to the rider and having good confirmation/cancellatn rates but its all good.lets have fun and still make the little money but those newbies who are jumping to do 30/35k weekly i wish you the best.
P.S take note of some really terrible potholes especially on the super highway.there is one currently at gbagada inwards 3MB before charly boy that has slowly grown into a mini gulley..it is in the middle lane..a car entered in my front yesterday and the whole front arms came off so lets be safe n careful out there..
As our Ogunvic used to say lets keep Lagos moving..
Happy Sunday..

Thank you for your response. I actually have plenty experiences but not in one occupation/company

Shelter Electronics - (Engineering) about 2 years
FMGC company (Technical Procurement Officer)- 8 months
Presently working with a telecommunication company since June 28 2017.

I indicated all the experiences in my EOI but stated they are not relevant because I can't claim point for them

Can I package all these better in any way?
No problem with saying your experience is not relevant on EOI since u can't claim points for them. But you can coin these experience to satisfy requirements for state/regional nomination. Don't dull

Hi everyone. I've been following this thread since last year and have a friend who has been helping too. I want to know my my chances with 489 visa.

I got positive assessment from EA as a mechanical engineer = 15 points
Age = 30 points
English text - 4 different attempt - 10 points
No relevant work experience
Total stands at 55 points

Sir bellong and other seniors in the house please I need your advise
You can shoot your shot with NSW/NT/TAS. With three options I will say you stand a chance of obtaining ITA. But you have to be meticulous about the process since you have no relevant experience. Search for region that doesn't lay too much emphasis on experience.

You can also package your internship/SIWES experience to meet certain criteria

Wow,this is quite story.

I believe the red flag started showing when he start giving stories after the 2nd week.

Depending on the form you gave the Guarantors to sign, you can actually hold them responsible for all damages done to the car.

Do you call them to confirm they actually signed the documents and understand what they signed. Do you have a copy of their work ID?

Kindly put a call across to them to produce the driver within (stated hours, days or weeks) to come face the music. If they don’t, get FSAR or any other respected force aside police to their office address and demand full payment for repairs of your damaged vehicle.

Or you can simply tell the guarantors they have some days, weeks to repair your damaged vehicle or they will not only find themselves in the Labour market, they will also be behind bars.

Have a good mechanic inspect the car, get a quote of necessary OEM spare parts needed to fixed the car plus workmanship fee. Send the bill to the Guarantors and give them deadline which failure to comply you can have them reported to their company Human Resources as a debtor and you could have your money deducted at source (Before they pay their monthly salary) or the company pay you upfront whereas they deduct it from the guarantors monthly salary.

That’s one of the essence of having a good and verifiable guarantor before giving your car key to the driver.
Did the driver run away with the car or snatched it from the partner that you want him to involve FSARS? The way and manner the duties of this outfit has been bastardised no be here. undecided

You still have chances of state/territory nomination. Worst thing is that after the whole masters, you will still go through this same PR procedure, if it hasn't become more cumbersome by then.

please my ppl I need help on this.

can i claim point with a Graduate Engineer Training program?(1yr duration).
I have the following as evidence:
(a) Bank statement
(b) Reference letter.
(c) Tax clearance (although tax wasn't paid but I want to pay fr it).
(d) offer letter

My fear is
(a) No pay slip (it was paid in the bank).
(b) In my offer letter, it was stated that I will be paid #......... STIPEND. so I dnt no if the word 'STIPEND' will be an issue.
Payslip can be designed, but because it's a stipend that's where the problem lie.

You shouldn't have much problem claiming the training period because some people have claimed interns up periods as work experience, just wait for them to advise on how to go about it.

Maybe I should break it down for you, since you seem not to be getting it. The principle involved here is "reciprocity of respect/courtesy"
I'm sure if you treat someone with respect/courtesy, you wouldn't expect the person to treat you with disdain 45 minutes after?
You get it now?
Learn your lesson: nothing is guaranteed in life. You expected too much of your rider. Reciprocity of respect my bumbum. An average rider on the street of lagos believes he/she has employed you with the tap of the "request button" moment you show up. Move on

Even with all your "experience" you couldn't recognise this kind of rider from afar. We learn daily. Next time don't give unnecessary gesture to riders no matter how courteous they appear.

Like Dr.Dru23, it's a jungle out here.

So read my follow-up post, then come reread this your comment; and let's see if it makes sense
There's always a context to everything; nothing is black or white. Always look for the context
It's still makes more sense than ever. You coulda typed all your lullaby together. Whether you decided to drive from yaba to anywhere for free before stating the trip changes nothing. Nothing stops you from starting your trip as you make the move from pick up location. These doesn't make your rider obligated to forgo his change or tip you.

The irony is you got 47.50 instead. You could have gone for a must have, maybe bottle water or gum. If none of these are available, you sef free the 100 no matter what. It won't kee you

Better luck next. Cheers

Trip fare from fola agoro to Lekky County was #3400. He gave me #3500 and asked for #100 change. I told him I didn't have #100; but I have #200, so does he have #100 let me give him the #200. He said no.

I had to transfer #100 to him from my account, at the cost of #52.50.
