JONAgerians.

You guys are just something else. If someone has an opinion, you label the person. Perhaps you cracked your screen (and your head) when I've been writing that Buhari is almost guaranteed to fail? Does that sound like what a Buhari fan would write?

You guys are a riot I swear!

For the first time in a long time, I'm proud of Nigerian Students, Uniben Students in particular. Talk about taking the initiative.

GREATEST UNIBEN STUDENTS!

GREATEST GBOBGBO

GREATEST GBAGBA

GREATEST MHMMM!

Funny thing was I suggested this as a way to force things instead of blocking the road. My friends argued saying "students no go do am". I'm proud of you. This is better than arson.

Should I be Buhari's sycophant instead?
Nope. You wait. Nigeria is difficult, failure is inevitable for even the best (Buhari is clearly not the best).

You have no idea how you sound, Bush I believe called Africa a great country among other numerous gaffes. We saw how clueless he was at 911 when the news was broken to him in a kindergarten class. These didn't stop him from getting his two terms.

On to Mr Buhari, you really should step on the brakes for the time being.

Like I've said, its almost inevitable.

Celebrate instead, the triumph of democracy, where an incumbent President can be overthrown. In four years, Buhari will be held accountable. I'm not saying you should wait till four years, I'm just saying that you have jumped the gun.

To be fair to Barcanista, Buhari fanboys and propagandists make it easy for him. When I saw that bit about Obama's cabinet, I couldn't help but chuckle with derision. US presidents usually make their key cabinet appointments within days of the inauguration. Indeed, that was what Buhari via Dr Fayemi promised at one point:

ProgrammingRe: President Buhari Voice Recognition Program - Contest For 50,000 Naira by jayriginal: 5:40pm On Jul 21, 2015
Seun:
As a sequel to the signature contest, here's a more challenging contest for programmers who are true computer scientists:

Write a program that will read a sound recording (mp3 format) containing at least 10 seconds of a Nigerian politician talking, and then print "Yes" to the console if the person speaking in the sound recording is President Buhari, and "No" if the person speaking is not President Buhari.

You can use any common programming language that runs on Windows 7/8/10. Use only open source libraries that I can compile on Windows.

The prize is 50,000 naira and I will award it to the first contestant whose code achieves a high level of accuracy (~90%).

Good luck!
50k?

Code it yourself. That's just bloody cheap!

So many lives have been lost at that spot.
A lot of students crosses over from BDPA to the main campus on a daily basis.
Very dangerous if I may say!
There used to be an overhead bridge at that spot. Nobody used it. Put one there again, no one will use it (unless its air-conditioned perhaps).

I wasnt there, but truth be told, students cross the road as if cars dont kill people.

my brother ; I'm not talking about what u see in churches; I'm talking about what or ur close confidant experienced...

I'll tell u a story; while I was a student, a lecturer of mine told me a story of two ladies that came to him to do a RVS(retroviral screening for them) the ladies happened to be HIV negative, but they were pleading with him to change it to positive, so they can take it to their church, and later return for the original results and claim it was a miracle (they were willing to pay him very well)... he declined BTW...

So my brother; I mean a case U experienced 1st hand; have u seen b4?
Let me add to that. A doctor friend of mine told me once how a superior sent a patient to him for a referral. You would think that it was a referral to another hospital but no, it was a referral to a pastor.

When my friend advised the patient to start treatment, the patient was adamant, saying that his pastor had asked for a referral from the hospital. This of course would have been shown on TV and then they would commence their circus act.

My friend refused and told his boss point blank that he won't do it and that the boss only sent the patient to him because the boss didn't want to do it either.

I bought my friend a beer for that.

RomanceChild Play: An 11 Year Old Girl Breaks Up With Boyfriend by jayriginal(op): 3:14pm On Jul 16, 2015
Breaking up with someone who cheated on you is always hard but this 11-year-old schoolgirl threw some serious shade at her former boyfriend.

The elementary school pupil from Texas, USA, sent the love cheat a series of texts and finished them with one epic sign off.

After telling him that she gave him two warnings about his ways in the past, she then tells him to not talk to her in middle school and that she never loved him.

The with all the sass of a wronged woman, she tells him: “Ding ding ding. Oh what was that? Oh yeah, the elevator ‘cause you’re not on my level.”

Talk about blunt - how could her former flame come back from that?

The texts were revealed by tweeter Mad Nickens, who posted screenshots of the conversation on her Twitter page.

Her tweet has now made her sister an overnight sensation as it has been retweeted nearly 7,000 times and favourited 11,000 times since it was posted two days ago.

Ding ding ding is now THE way to dump someone who wrongs you.

Future boyfriends watch out! Do NOT cheat on this girl.

Music/RadioRe: Top Five Hit Songs Not Written By Artistes Who Sang Them by jayriginal: 12:05am On Jul 15, 2015
midolian:
This is an issue only in Nigeria. MOST of the world hit songs were not written by the artistes who sang them.
Bless you. Its sad how some people with no music culture pass for critics these days.

On the front page today, someone was glorifying a Phyno line, "Real recognize real, how come you don't look familiar" or something like it. That was straight lifted from the boondocks. Riley said that. Cant remember the episode name but it was when Grand dad brought the hoe to the house. Phyno bit the line and he's been hailed on the front page. Jeez.

Back to topic, has anyone ever heard of Baby Face? Does anyone know how many mega hits he has penned
for others?

How many on NL even know Teddy Riley?

Edit:
Riley's quote was something like "Real recognize real grand dad and you're looking unfamiliar".

Its a valid question... if i asked you why you think otherwise, you would not be able to say. You're basically relying on appealing to authority here...

The question really is this - if macro evolution is true, where are the transition species?
Oh and I can answer otherwise.

The theory of evolution doesn't say we evolved from "monkeys" neither does it say the goal of evolution is to become human.

David!

David, its valid? Really? You still say this?

Well Ok then. I'm no scientist, so humour me for a while. Now, you're on record as saying there's no macro evolution but theres micro evolution (which you dub mutation). I think so far, I represent your position.

Now, if you will humour me, lets say a mutation occurs, which allows an individual of a specie to gain an advantage over the other members of the species. Let's say that individual passes on those mutated genes to its offspring, and other less advantaged (mutated) members of the species die off (slowly).

Let's say our mutant and its offspring keep passing those advantageous genes, eventually what is likely to happen? Isn't it likely that the mutant and its descendants become more populous among the species?

Do you agree thus far?

You'll probably say that mutations are generally harmful but would you say there are no beneficial mutations?

What say ye?
