THE DISCRIMINATION AGAINST ATHEISTS IN NIGERIA IS REAL- A MESSAGE TO ALL ATHEISTS.

. . .

I hope this will serve as a lesson to other atheists or agnostics as the case may be. For those who are closet atheists, it's better to remain that way. Nigeria obviously hasn't gotten to a stage where one can openly admit to being an atheist.

Not entirely surprising as ignorance is particularly strong. What if you were also required to get the form signed by a religious authority; pastor or imam?

Anyway, perhaps there is another option you could explore, but if not, I'd still submit the form with a note stating that the DPO's refused to sign because of religious discrimination. Its worth a shot even though its unlikely to get a positive response.

Finally, you should open a fresh topic for this and push to the front page.

By the way if the protesting was much then the police did sane to disperse those youths. I don't know why once a thread on police is open, they just start bashing them, even if the police is right, Nigerians just believe say, NOTHING GOOD CAN COME OUT OF THE NIGERIAN POLICE.

A good write up is always appreciated. Thanks for the warning.

Not to boast, but I think I'm immune from pick pockets. I'll have to be very distracted for anyone to pick my pockets. I'm very conscious of whatever is in my pockets.

Now, if you read Oliver Twist way back, you would recognize what these people were doing to you. Faggin taught his boys this same trick of physical misdirection.

Please be careful next time.

Got it! Thank you thank you thank you!!! I have finished the Crisis book. The criticisms were thorough and I believe he earnestly tried to make them fair. This past month has been a bit of a paradise nightmare as far as this JW family issue has been, you know when things left unsaid hog all the space in the room, that sort of thing. But at least we now occupy the same spaces. It's so sad religion has brought us here. Pathetic really.

Hi guys,

Nice thread y'all got here, just happened upon this thread.

New guy here, and new topic:

How many moves can you see ahead? And, what methods have you used to train how to 'see'? Let's have some interesting talk about this oft-ignored chess skill.

Enjoy this clip:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMe-hvCwTRo
For me, realistically, I think I can do five moves ahead. That is with great difficulty though and I will probably have piece retention errors in many lines. Mostly I try to do one and a half and its usually sufficient to give me an idea of whether to continue or to just end that line.

I've been playing a lot of blitz lately and now I just don't look ahead anymore. I play by feel which can bring on terrible blunders cos my ideas are always good but they don't always work tactically.

Any way, the best mode of training calculation is solving puzzles in your head. I'm not a fan of compositions though. I prefer problems taken from real games.

So continually changing your beliefs is a sign that you are doing the right thing?

To me it sounds like a sign of uncertainty about past, present and future beliefs.

How that passes as truth is beyond me. Truth doesn't change.
Christianity EtcRe: Jephthah Did Not Kill His Daughter As Sacrifice To God. by jayriginal: 9:42pm On Jun 19, 2015
Tjayjosh:
This issue needs to be dealt with once and for all. A person on this forum brought this up, i believe he was trying to justify his ill feelings toward God. Whatever the reason may be. The bible scholers on this forum can help lay this matter to rest. Based on current research. Jephthah did not sacrifice his daughter to God. It is supported by at least two reasons.

1. He would have known that God's law strictly forbids human sacrifice and that God would not tolerate such an evil act (Lev 18:21; 20:2-5; Dt 12:31; 18:10-12).

2. The use of the phrase "she was a virgin" suggests that the sacrifice involved devoting her entire life to chastity (i.e., remaining a virgin and unmarried for the rest of her life) and service at the national sanctuary (Ex 38:8; 1sa 2:22).
I think johnnydon22 has answered you sufficiently, unless you think she was burned with the clap.

By your logic
1)
Jesus couldn't have been sacrificed for mankind because God doesn't permit it.

2)
Jesus only sacrificed his virginity (he is believed to have been a virgin isnt he?)

:Buhari promised to fight corruption and to ensure that all ongoing trial are allowed to continue. In keeping to his promise, the Director of Public Prosecution under Buhari applied to withdraw the N2.5 billion fraud case against Fmr Gov of Bayelsa state and Buhari's ally Chief Timpre Sylva on June 1st, 2015. The action of the DPP led to striking out of another N19billion fraud suit against Sylva by Justice Ahmed Muhammed of the Federal High Court, Abuja on Wednesday, June 10, 2015. According to the learned Judge,
"the charges instituted against Sylva by the EFCC were an abuse of court process since they were based on the same set of transactions involved in the N2.45bn charges that were recently dropped against Sylva."

Fugitive exGov Murtala Nyako Free Again: Impeached Adamawa state Governor and another senior APC Chieftain Admiral Nyako Murtala was declared wanted on corruption and fraud charges by the EFCC on Feb 4, 2015, however he fled the prior to the time of the declaration. 24hours after the Buhari was sworn-in, the fugitive exGovernor made a surprise return to Nigeria. The same "wanted man" is yet to be arrested nor prosecuted under Buhari.

Buhari is yet to make any high profile arrest or prosecution since coming to power.

Transparency:
Buhari's administration promised to be very transparent. In fact, Baba pledged to lead by example by making public declaration of his Assets and liabilities. Till date #Baba is yet to make any declaration public. He only did the secret declaration like other public officers.

Security:
President Buhari promised to fight BH and BringBackOurGirls. Since his inauguration in May 29, Boko Haram have strucked a NINE times and killed over 500 Nigerians. We are yet to hear of any update with respect to the return of Chibok school girls.

Economy: Since coming to power petrol stations have continued to sell fuel at N120-N130 per litre across Nigeria instead of the approved N87 pump price. Nigerians have no clue whether there is still subsidy or not.

Governance:
Since coming to power, President Buhari is yet to appoint Senior Government officials like the Chief of Staff, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Service Chiefs, Heads of Parastatals etcetera

I wish I can remember more of Baba's achievement. May God help Nigeria!

You are really bright aren't you?

Why cant you be patient enough to allow Buhari to fail after four years? Its almost guaranteed! The odds are in your favour.

Chiaka:
Meaning its ok if she is 11, don't you get it. Its crazy to subject an 11 years old into such act
No dear.

You are missing the point. Sex with a minor is still an offence punishable by law. This new law introduces stiffer penalties if the said minor is 11 or below.
PoliticsRe: Senate Makes 11 Years The Legal Age To Have Sex In Nigeria by jayriginal:
Let's not get carried away. The Senate did not legalise having sex by 11 or 12. All it did was to prescribe a certain punishment for people who have relations with children below 11.

Trust me, having relations with a thirteen year old is still an infraction of the law.

Edit:
Case in point and on front page as well.

That's the stereotype about Doctors. You should meet my friends, just about the craziest people you could ever meet, with every vice imaginable. When they're in the hospital its all seriousness but when off, oh boy.

As for the lawyers, its another stereotype. I should know!

You are right about Doctors looking for greener pastures though.

No, the young man wasn't a physioterapist. He was a travelling evangelist.
See? Now I have given u instances of Gods working Miracles, u r looking for rocks to hide under.
Another Miracle. This one Ochestrated my being born again. When I was about 11yrs old. My kid sister died. She had misseles then died. Also a young christian at that time, incidentally visited looking for my most eldest sister. He met us in that situation. That young man took up the child which was a year and some months old. He knelt down and by the time he rose up, the baby was alive. This guy prayed he became soaked with sweat. My sister is still alive today.
Come up with another excuse.
No excuse here.

You were 11. Some people even after childhood still think wrestling is real.

You strike me as an honest person. Mislead, but honest. If you would read what you've written objectively, you would see the obvious.
Christianity EtcRe: Be Truthful Have Your Really Witness A Miracle? by jayriginal: 8:25pm On May 30, 2015
Anas09:
@nkpommpko.
About my Crutches. This was my own church programme. A young travelling evangelist attended a programme in my church, after the service, he walked up to me, and asked why I was on crutches. (That happened a lot then) so I told him I was involved in an accident. I took my house address and left. The next time I saw him, he called another radical young christian to come to my house. When that one came, he also asked why I was on crutches, I told him. That guy took my crutches and went away with them after praying for me. So it was either I walked or remain at home.
That was how I learned to take one step, two steps and gradually walked without crutches till today. I never saw those young men again till this day. If they walk up to me right now, I won't recognise them. I only remember the name of the first one. Bro sunny. I can't remember the name of the other guy. The one who went with my crutches.
So pls. If u don't believe in God, stay in ur corner. Satan never touch u hand. If Satan touch u for real, u go know the difference.
Confound it man!

You men pastor Chris could heal cripples from birth but not you who simply had an accident? Which is easier?

You had to wait for another person who virtually forced you to walk?

Come on man!

At least you're honest, blind but honest.
