A woman in Onicha Uboma Autonomous Community in the Ihitte/Uboma Local Government Area, Imo State, identified only as Ifeoma allegedly killed her one-year-old child, gouged out her eyes and drank her blood. The 39-year-old woman committed the heinous act inside her husband’s shop. Mr. Azubuike Emedom returned from a business trip to find his wife and child missing. "It was gathered that after searching for them in the neighbourhood without result, Mr. Emedom proceeded to his shop, although he thought it abnormal for them to be in the shop that early. When he got to the shop, he discovered that the shop was locked from the inside, but after repeated knocks and Ifeoma’s failure to open the door, Mr. Emedom was said to have broken down the door, only to find his wife inside, blood on her mouth and the baby wrapped in blood stained cloth. Mr. Emedom uncovered the baby, he discovered that she had died, even as her eye balls were plugged out and blood gushing from the sockets. The baby’s hands and legs were also broken." A community leader who spoke under anonymity claims that Ifeoma is of a ‘marine spirit."I believe she used this child for sacrifices, she sucked the blood of the child because by the time we caught her, her mouth was full of blood. She killed the baby intentionally. She always renders sacrifice to their gods in the river. Some months ago, she attempted to kill a woman from our community. She injured the woman with a knife," he said. The suspect has been arrested and detained at the Ihitte/Uboma Police station. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Andrew Enwerem, the Police Public Relation Officer of the Imo Police Command who confirmed the story said investigations were on going. After Reading This You Will Never Use Your Phone In A Toilet Again [THE SUMMARY] Sometimes we all take a phone into the toilet. But it is a very dangerous habit! You can expose yourself and others to germs like salmonella, E. Coli and C. “If you wipe your bum then pick up your phone, you may as well not bother washing your hands because all the bacteria you put on your phone will end up back on your hands,” hygiene expert Dr. Lisa Ackerley told.So what we all should do? Dr. Ron Cutler, director of biomedical science degrees at Queen Mary’s University London, said: “Basically, you just shouldn’t (take your phone into the toilet) if you are at all concerned about the transfer of viruses and fecal contamination.” He said that levels of contamination vary widely depending on where the toilet is. A small office may not be a problem, but a hospital or a cruise ship where viruses may be circulating are different. Remember, viruses transfer not only by hands. It is the main way, but not the only one. “Spray could travel around six feet from the flush,” Dr. Ackerley said. That’s why you shouldn’t leave your toothbrush close to the toilet and put your phone down on the toilet roll holder or any shelf that might be there. By the way, germs could survive up to a couple of days on your phone! “Phones heat up a little bit giving bacteria a nice warm environment,” Dr. Ron Cutler said. “If people handle sweets and leave a sticky coating on the phone, that’s an even better place for bacteria.” So don’t forget to wash your hands with soap and water and leave the phone in your bag before visiting the toilet! It can be pretty frustrating if you invite a lady over with the intention of finally getting down and she refuses to give you what you want. Knowing how to handle it will make a very big difference. 1. Don't push it: You might be tempted to beg, negotiate or sulk, but this will only push her further away and make you seem pathetic. Plus, it will instantly turn her off. There is nothing arousing about being pressured for sex. If she says no, let it be, simply pretend it does not bother you and don't bring it up for a while. She will be taken aback and begin to immediately question whether or not she will give it to you, which is what you want. 2. Get her to relax: The thing is, most women expect that visiting a guy means he will ask for sex. This causes her to put her guard up. Even if she is willing to give it to you, she would still want you to work for it. So, what you need to do is get her to bring down her guard by getting her to relax. If you ask and she says no, focus on other ways to make her feel comfortable with you. Watch a comedy, play some games, whatever makes her laugh and let go. It is only when she feels truly comfortable that she will consider having sex with you. 3. Make you move: Now she is relaxed, comfortable and laughing with you, this is when you make your move. Flirt with her by bringing sex into the convo. Start with something random but not too threatening like, 'Damn, if I ever get hold of that sexy ass of yours, I will take you to heaven and back.' In one statement, you have complimented her and made her think about sex with you. If you have followed steps 1 and 2 above, by now she will be having an inner conflict whether or not to let you have some. But once again, don't push. Flirt with her and compliment her. If she giggles or return the flirting, slowly move towards her and give her a soft kiss. Let her lead the way so she feels like she has all the power. At this point, make sure she tells you with her words or her body that she is ready to take things to the next level. Warning: These tips will only work if she is attracted to you in the first place but unsure if she wants to sleep with you. If she insists she is not interested in sex after cajoling and flirting with her, respect her decisions. There is absolutely nothing sexy or manly about rape or coercive sex. As a few of his predictions seem to have come to pass, President of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleiman, has urged Nigerians to pray ceaselessly. He made the call as President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration recorded the death of Minister of State for Labour, Barrister James Ocholi, demise of some Nollywood stars in the last few weeks, killings in Benue as well as Saudi Arabia and Iran cold war. Speaking to NIGERIA NEWS ONLINE through his media manager, Folorunsho Hamsat, Suleman specifically called for divine intervention “so that a sitting state Governor would not die before the year runs out.” “The apostle recieved the news with sadness and again stated that a governor may die next. “He will speak to the public soon but for now, his condolence on Mr. James Ocholi’s death goes to the federal government, the people of Kogi, his friends, family, staff and others touched by the unfortunate incident,” Hamsat said. Ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo, who turns 79 on March 5, has revealed how he spent two days with some members of Taliban sect. Former president stated that seeking the best solution to the issue of world insecurity forced him to do this. Obasanjo was speaking at the 2016 national summit and 4th international colloquium organised by the Centre for Human Security at the sidelines of his birthday programme. The politician lamented the spread of the insurgency saying that the situation would have been under control if religious leaders had not failed in their responsibility of instilling the right values into their followers. He said: “I went to Syria when I was president of Nigeria. One of the places I was taken to was a refugee camp where those refugees have been since 1948, nothing has been done to them. How do you want their children to think? “In Norway, I met some members of the Taliban. We spent two days together. They are in the second echelon of the leadership, I was told the top ones will not come out and when we listened to them, we are bound to say yes, they can get something better than they were getting. “If we do not get it right from home, we have started losing the battle. Communalism is going down the drain. There is popular saying that four eyes brought a child to the world and 200 eyes nurtured the child. But where are the 200 eyes of the community? “We do everything with impunity. We have been dealing with issues beyond us. We ought to prevent it. Prevention is even cheaper than cure. Can we prevent? Can prevention be part or best of our solution? We can also see where things are going down. We have home or houses, what happened at home? What do we teach? Moral training starts from home. Home is very important, but parents do many wrongs.” Obasanjo urged the global community to enable fairness in the fight against insurgency, adding that is only way to uphold peace. The Taliban is an Islamic fundamentalist political movement in Afghanistan currently waging war (an insurgency, or jihad) within that country. Nigeria is currently suffering from the Boko Haram terrorists, who despite being technically defeated remain active. President Buhari is reportedly to be under intense pressure from some chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to make a reorganisation of his cabinet. Post Nigeria reports that as part of the close at hand reshuffle, the following ministers have been seen to be doing nothing and many have recommended for their immediate resignation. 1. Geoffrey Onyeama – Minister of Foreign Affairs Onyeama is said to have failed to manage Buhari’s public and international perception that has been traced to the lack of a foreign policy agenda. More than nine months after inauguration of Buhari’s government Nigeria as the giant of Africa still does not have a focused foreign policy agenda. 2. Aisha Alhassan – Minister of Women Affairs “Mama Taraba”, as many called her after the governorship poll in her state, was reported to have told the grieving Chibok parents that the girls were not abducted under the current government. Mrs. Alhassan is also yet to address the case of the abduction of the 14 year-old Ese Oruru from Bayelsa state. The girl was converted to Islam and force to marry a man from Kano. As a minister of women affairs, many Nigerians had expected that she would have been at the fore front of the Chibok agenda. 3. Kayode Fayemi – Minister of Solid Minerals The ex-governor of Ekiti state surprised many when he was assigned his portfolio as he was reported to have said that he would need time to learn in his ministry. More than 3 months after Fayemi received his post the former governor is yet to persuade Nigerians that he is the right man for the job. 4. Lai Mohammed – Minister of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed seems to refuse to move on from the days of political campaigns. Many Nigerians see his public statements as dent the public image of the Buhari government. The minister speaks on every issue, even though he does not have the right information, he would always speak. Mr.Mohammed has continued to blame the previous administration for all the failures. Many believe the former spokesmanof the APC would be more productive if he returns as the spokesperson of his party. 5. Adebayo Shittu – Minister of Communications The role of the ministry in the out-of-court settlement by MTN Nigeria, and its payment of N50 billion to the Buhari’s government still remains unaddressed. The telecommunications regulatory organ, the Nigeria Communications Commission has been shielded away from the settlement process. President Buhari had on November, 11, 2015 assigned portfolios to 36 ministers who are expected to implement his ‘change’ agenda. Presiding at the swearing in ceremony of the new ministers, the president said that the assigning of portfolios was done to put square pegs in square holes, adding that members of his team were carefully chosen and assigned portfolios to reflect their capacities. With today's mad rush by every company to get a business website, it is wise to advise companies about the fact that creating a website for your business may be essentially damaging your company's reputation. Why? How? You may ask Did you know that if your business website is dormant, visitors (that is if you even have any visitors at all) may erroneously believe that your company must have become dormant as well. Maybe that is why the last update on your business' official website is 1 and half years old. Trust me nothing could present you as being unserious with your business as this. Especially if your company is the type that requires frequent update like schools, hotels, religious organizations (like churches), etc. For example, if you retail clothing and accessories, how do you explain to your potential customers online that the exact products displayed in your online business website 1 year ago are still the same products that are still in your store today. Don't you think it would be safe to assume that you are no longer in business? Or how would you expect me to believe you are still in business when I send you an email via the address on your business website and I get no response from your company after 1 month. This is very common with Nigerian company websites. What most companies do not understand is that the internet is a very dynamic world and it is either you change and adapt or you die and get forgotten. In conclusion, I would like to advise companies that if they must own a website for business, they must be willing to establish a department for managing their online presence or simply outsource that service to a professional web and social media management consultant. There are basically two types of website packages available that a web designer can offer to a business owner or organization. These are dynamic website package and Static website package. Every other type of website e.g. Content management websites, ecommerce websites, HTML/Flash websites etc. falls under one of these two website packages. Dynamic Website Package: This website package is ideal for small and medium scale businesses because, it is easy to control without any programming knowledge. Thus it gives you absolute control over your website and the maintenance of the content therein. This is even more so because businesses are dynamic and ever changing week after week, thus it is important that you as a business owner should be able to edit and control your own website as you wish. Do not forget, your webmaster may be sick, out of the country or simply too busy for you when you need a major change to be effected on your website. This therefore makes dynamic website package a far better offer to select. Static Website Package: Static websites have their own uses especially if you require just a simple website. Also if your business does not require any serious update frequently. This is, however, ideal for individuals who just want to have a presence online and some businesses also who may want an online presence but are cash-strapped at the moment. This is because HTML based static websites are always cheaper to design. Finally, before you decide to go for dynamic website package for your business, you have to be sure you can manage and update it regularly. Alternatively, that you are willing to hire or outsource the website maintenance to a professional web and social media management company. Else, having a dynamic website will confer no reasonably viable advantage over a static website despite being costlier.
